@Captain Xavier About the mini fridge... If you had it tilted while it defrosted, that could be the problem; that can do weird things to the gas used as coolant. When plugged in the gas is under compression to make it liquid, thus generating the cooling effect; when unplugged some of it reverts to a gaseous state. The fridge needs to be given enough time in a standard vertical position for the gas to fully separate into a single bubble; if it doesn't settle, the compressor will have a lot of trouble compressing it back to a liquid state. For most models of refrigerators the recommendation is usually to let them sit upright and unplugged for 24 hours after being tipped or transported. All that being said, it might just simply be dead. Mini fridges aren't generally made to last... I've had four over the years, and in my experience they have about a 3 year lifespan.
I was listening to this video through my headphones while walking my dog. Despite taking him a long time to walk around the block, your whistling and singing was very serene for a night walk. One of the most calming moments I've had all summer.
A suggestion for your personal work bench. A plexy glass top. Gives protection and also always you to slide stickers or patches etc underneath to be shown off but protected.
@@CaptainXavier something i didn't take in consideration. Would spraying a matte clear coat on the plexi glass reduce the glare but retain a frostered see through look?

Captain Unbelievable how far the shop has come in such a short amount of time. You are just awesome I can't wait to see the finished product. Keep doing what your doing. Bangarang
For the fringe try unplugging it leaving it for bout a day for all the colent to resettle where needs to b and then try agen other then that no ideas some times it messes with them had to do that when I moved
I never knew that stuff like motors would be free there, having seen the newer stuff and coming back to the older videos to see this, Great work cap, It's come so far!
One thing you can do to help improve your audio is sound-deadening panels can make them really cheap using one by one to make a frame of whatever shape you want my recommendation would be a shield you can incorporate it into your Blaster wall ! Then you stretch fabric tightly over it. Then fill it with a dense material some people use shredded paper or foam or fiberfill most of the harsh noise all the flat hard surfaces in your shop any banners flags or stuff to break up all the hard flat surfaces amazing what a difference it can make I just did this with my home theater no more nasty resume
5:10 TRAIN! It's funny because I am currently within earshot of a railroad and there is currently a train going through irl as one is going by in the video.
Also what is the ventilation like in the makerspace. If your going to be running alot of tools at once your going to have alot of heat and usage of soldering irons in a poorly ventilated space is going to create a pretty toxic atmosphere.
Well...there are these huge doors in the front...and windows on the sides...and fans...and vents. It is almost like it is a shop designed to be worked in...
Captain Xavier Thats good! Just wanted to make sure your good. Im working on setting up my shop right now as the summer winds down into the cooler more hospitable winter.
My girlfriend wandered in from the other room and said "why is someone whistling 'once upon a December'?" I'm not sure how to explain this to her beyond, "I'm watching a dude sort darts. Pretty good whistler."
Wish you all the best with the Lego, I'm sorting out my own collection ( possibly 10,000 + bricks) and I have to do it before school starts up again in two weeks

Suggestions for mic picking up less noise which you probably already know but I'll put them here in case: - turn off automatic gain adjustment - turn down the gain - talk louder & reposition mic
Most of the Goodwill videos that see, Xavier finds a Vulcan and does not get it, but I understand that he usually gets other blasters that are more easily modifiable. I would get it and turn it into m60 look or a Browning 50 Cal.
@Captain X for microphone ideas look up DIY Perks I'll try to get a link, he has a really awesome microphone build , sence you solder and stuff you might like building one...
Hello captin how r u doing i have a question about one of my favorite blasters the Vulcan ebf25 I was questiong af how I could put a pistole grip and a stock attachment point if you have any advice I woud love to know
I was worried that mountain of blasters would engulf you and you’d have to build a makeshift rocket to free yourself, all while a mob trial is taking place and I think I went on a way too long tangent...

There is not much to tell. It is a 3S Prometheus with a Air Warriors Predator barrel on the front. The barrels do not currently rotate. It would be easy to do but I want the blaster to be as simple as possible.
With all the hard tip darts you should make studded nerf armor.
good idea

Make sure to properly insulate the shipping container so that blasters don’t melt
That or make a wooden cover over it that is a sun shield so that the sun isn't fully shining against it.
Your determined rummaging thru to find the dart you threw into the wrong bin is a mood I think we all can relate to

That song you whistled about half way through the video was once upon a December from Anastasia!!!

If you can find 8 proxon rotary tools, they'll last longer than dremels. They're much quieter too, since they have better bearings.
Love how it’s coming together, I hope I can see it in person someday!
You could put resin on the orange benchtop, or stick some lexan on top of it. That'd protect the paint, unless you want it to look beat up.

I now enjoy the goodwill hunt for nerf thanks to Captain Xavier. My collection is growing quite nicely.
Once Upon A December: a timeless classic that I will forever cherish. Good on you, Captain!!
I never expected watching the captain sorting darts while whistling for half an hour would be so entertaining
Ah the tune from Anastasia, good choice of whistling

I knew my comments of "Hang out with Walcom, he's lonely" would pay off!
oh yeah fridges die if you run them while off camber, compressor oil mixes with the coolant and then they die.
Love the look of workshop looks like a secret lair but for nerf
So I’m not sure if I’m the only one that noticed or not but there seems to be a vulcan with a longstrike stock attached laying on the mountain of nerf
J.J. Turner I don’t think it’s a long strike stock due to the yellow colouration my guess is that it’s a deplorable
It is, in fact, a Longstrike stock. Believe it or not, it is possible to change the color of a blaster using a mystical material known as "paint." ;)
A yes that magical substance; the plastic pigmentator, the colour coater, paint.

If you had the mini fridge tipped you'll probably have to keep it tipped but eventually it will fix itself if you had it tipped
Nice 3D printer collection. You should make a black and orange spring thunder with a stock and stuff
I sorted darts the other night while consuming the adult beverages. It turned into much fun between myself and my girlfriend
