And there are some places where Amy is possessive on Sonic like in Sonic Rush, Sonic chronicles, Sonic '06, etc., but as this is a fanmade animation in newgrounds, she is shown so possessive that she kills Sonic's friends like Tails, Knuckles, Mighty, Ray, Nack(or Fang) who come between her and Sonic (even Elise is killed for the purpose). So I wanna say this is that Fanmade animations or comics or whatever fanfics are not true about the franchise's characters.
