    $10-15K ‘market adjustment’ aka consumer rip off is insane. I just might keep my 2015 Silverado.

    • @purchasewithpaul
      @purchasewithpaul  Год назад

      So you’re saying you’ll buy one at sticker? The market adjust for most brands is for high demand vehicles that sell for more pre owned than brand new. Personally I’m not a fan of it but I’m also not the owner of the dealership. Until that day comes I’ll follow the rules set for our dealership.

    • @joelahnstein2281
      @joelahnstein2281 Год назад

      @@purchasewithpaul I didn’t begin to address the insane msrp. It should be intuitively obvious to the most casual observer to buy a vehicle under such terms (ridiculous msrp plus market extortion, er adjustment would mean driving off the lot losing, what, 20K to 30K in immediate depreciation? You seriously believe low volume, high margins is a sound business model? The best and biggest dealers were exactly the opposite: high volume, cost plus pricing. The internet (not always reliable to be sure) is rife with recommendations to not purchase new cars, or used (not ‘pre-owned’ which actually means ‘before owned’ or new) until some time in the future.

    • @purchasewithpaul
      @purchasewithpaul  Год назад

      @@joelahnstein2281 great points you’re making Mr. Joe but I don’t think used car values are also being spoken about when it comes to purchasing a vehicle (new or pre owned). You see I have clients that purchased in 2018 getting ridiculously close to what they paid for their vehicles back then. That is just our current market. It’s extremely aggressive for not just buying (new or pre owned) vehicles but also selling your current vehicle. Right now you buy high but you’re also selling (trade in) high as well. Back then it was a volume thing before Covid. It was not uncommon for dealerships to lose money on deals to race for most volume. Now we don’t have the volume we used to so we can’t be giving away these vehicles. Our dealership is now being stocked with under 1/3 of what we used to carry. Some people seem to forget that dealerships are a for profit business not a non profit business. Business are supposed to be making money not losing money. There are businesses that have significantly more profit margins but I rarely see people mention those businesses or get un happy with them. In case you didn’t know the average profit margin on a brand new vehicle is about 6%. That means the average vehicle is selling for about $50,000 in our current market with an average profit margin of about $3,000. How does that seem unfair or “getting ripped of or taken as rage of”? To address the “ridiculous MSRP” this is the highest trim level available for the Silverado the price is going to be up there. If it’s something out of budget Chevrolet has plenty of models to cater to budgets. On those vehicles we are able to sell under sticker price! Then when it comes to depreciation that’s on any vehicle you purchase. Even when there was $10,000-$15,000 being taken off the price you could go back a year later and still be $6,000-$12,000 in the negative. Still no difference than your example today. Except back then you would buy low and sell low. Hopefully I’ve been able to provide more insight to my line of work.

    Great video but sorry I love my 2002 1500 black Z-71 RST 5.3 look a lot better. Bought it new in November 2020 when went away from being a Ford man for many years because their quality went done hill. Because have a provided work vehicle only have 15,000 on it but absolutely love it. I would recommend Chevy to anyone interested.

    • @purchasewithpaul
      @purchasewithpaul  Год назад

      My first Silverado was a 2020 RST Z71 as well and I loved it! I will say the one minor thing that I wish GM would do was add the vanity lights to the mirror on all trim levels. Right now it’s only available on the LTZ and higher trim levels. Other than that I love the RST. Have you considered the diesel engine?

    • @chargerman165
      @chargerman165 Год назад +1

      @@purchasewithpaul thanks and no I have not concerned the diesel engine. As I said I was a Ford guy and traded a 2017 Explorer Sport that I loved for a 2020 Explorer Limited in January 2020. Worst mistake and two year olds could have put it together better. November 1, 2020 traded for my RST and wasn’t a GM fan but love it. Bought it new and it is worth more now than when bought it. At 10,300 dropped a lifter but dealer was great had it fixed within a week and replaced all lifters in that bank but even with that still love it. At time I did test drive a new 2020 F150 but have always liked looks of the Silverado way better and for more truck for the money.

    • @purchasewithpaul
      @purchasewithpaul  Год назад

      @@chargerman165 I had the same lifter issue on my 2021 Silverado Trail Boss. GM replaced all of mine as well. I would look into the diesel engine. It is amazing. I have clients telling me they’re getting 30 miles to the gallon! If you’re a little heavy on the foot then closer to 25 but it’s an up and coming engine. Ford makes a great product but I feel since 2019 GM has done a great job and in my option advanced significantly. We’ll see how the trend continue to go.

    Hey Paul, I purchased a used, but basically new 2022 Colorado LT. It had 8k miles on it, and I also purchased the extended warranty. However, I've seen that if I want to lift it up(preferably 6 inches) then it would void the warranty. I also heard that lots of modifications can void tonnes of warranties. I'm a loyal chevy fan and customer, but the warranty business, it ruins good vehicles imo. Although, I've heard there are people who can modify your car and keep it under warranty, do you know anything of this? Please respond and thank you for the great and detailed video

    • @purchasewithpaul

      Great question. I would recommend getting with your local dealership. I’ve heard that six inches is still under warranty but I’ve also heard any lift can void warranty. I wish I had a more direct answer for you but it is based off of the dealership. Some modifications can void warranty.

    You know what's funny, you can buy a GMC 2500HD AT4 with the 6.6 gas for the same price as this truck.And I like this truck a lot, but damn that's a tough decision to make!

    • @purchasewithpaul
      @purchasewithpaul  Год назад

      You’re absolutely right. It is up there in price but the way this vehicle comes equipped is very different. Either way GMC and Chevrolet fall under General Motors and GM makes some great vehicles. Either option is a good one. This year Chevrolet is doing the 2024 Silverado 2500 ZR2 so that’ll be very interesting to see.

      @@purchasewithpaul Yeah I know Chevy's very well, grew up with many of them and have owned at least 15 of them, have 2 in the garage now LOL I was comparing that AT4 with the ZR2 and obviously the AT4 doesn't have the shock system the ZR2 has but the 2500 AT4 will tow and haul more than that ZR2 will, it all comes down to what you need a truck for in the end I'd say, but you can't go wrong with either one.

    • @purchasewithpaul
      @purchasewithpaul  Год назад +1

      @@JoeSmith-nu8oo That’s awesome thank you for being a loyal GM customer. You’re absolutely right the nitrogen shocks on the ZR2 is the biggest difference. Two small differences to note is the Chevrolet Flowtie and the cutout in the bumper for better ground clearance and off road capabilities.

    • @purchasewithpaul
      @purchasewithpaul  Год назад

      Thank you! The ZR2 comes very well equipped already but small difference in pricing can depend on color and if the ZR2 comes with or without the Multi-Flex Tailgate. That being said they’re all within the $75,000-$76,000 range based off of the ones we currently have available. In regards to market adjustments it is not uncommon to see our local competition selling these vehicles for $10,000-$15,000 over sticker price. If you’d like to see what kind of deal we can offer you please call me at 956-212-3296. We’ll be sure to put our best foot forward in regards to pricing.

    Don't buy a Chevrolet because they don't stand behind their vehicles. I'm a owner of a 2022 Colorado Z 71 with a crappy 8 speed transmission that has issue's in cold weather and Chevrolet says that is normal so I feel that they can go bankrupt. They don't care about their customers so I don't care about them. They totally lost a loyal Chevy buyer.

      Unfortunately we cannot relate in south Texas it’s hot year round. However I have customers who are winter Texans that I’ve sold to and they don’t have issues when they’re home in the colder states. Also if Chevrolet (GM) can’t prove anything is wrong how can they fix it? If you’re a loyal Chevrolet customer and this is your first issue then I’d say move on to the next one. You're correct, plastic is used; the Silverado's exterior features more aluminum in hinged parts, with the rest being steel. This price point isn’t usually for a penny-pinching client, and Chevrolet offers budget-friendly options. Regarding predatory practices, it sounds like you had an unfortunate experience. While it happens, everyone's experience varies. Ultimately, a purchase should align with the client's goals and needs. ✌️
