Today we go through how Brentford have found a way to score a goal straight from the kick off. We break it down into 3 actions that lead to goal scoring chances every single time. Brentford have scored from kick off in their last 3 matches vs Manchester City, Tottenham and West Ham.

This guy is going places. Very well presented video mate
I support Manchester United, i can confirm, MY TEAM WILL NOT BE DOIN THE SAME. We're to busy scouting in Ajax, PSV, AZ & Feynoord's Academy's trash cans
Our next game is against them 😂😂😂😂
@@hariharanramesh8266 friendly against one of our feeder clubs

😂😂
heads up, if your scouts are smart enough to look into their literal trash cans, they might find a used and beaten up fidget spinner, surely a hell of an upgrade over Antony
We scored in 76 seconds against wolves cos we didn't get the kickoff, we also scored in 32 seconds from a kickoff to make it 3-2 against wolves
You did get the kick off
@@kevinwilding7825 No, Wolves kicked off but lost possession extremely quickly
How does this guy only have 700 subs? this video has such a good quality!
Edit: I've never got this many likes TYSM!
Lol Chelsea has more subs than that
It might be because he has no idea what he's talking about :/
@@Kyrelel What do you mean
@Kyrelel alright, then you surely won't have any trouble pointing out where the explanation in the video was incorrect and why
if you then could also explain what Brentfords tactic actually looks like even better
me and a lot of people here would love to hear your insight, because unless you were just talking out of your ars you surely won't have trouble providing this information to us
It could be the excessively long intro. It takes him a while to get to the point.
I've really totally enjoyed every aspect of this video, keep it up mate your channel certainly deserves a lot more subscribers.. Cheers
Very professional. Good content, well scripted and narrated. Subscribed.
Everything said here applies to goal kicks too. Teams have been playing the kickoff straight back to the keeper to send a long ball for decades. The man marking for the second ball may help them to regain the possession up the pitch after the long ball has been played, but the goals are just down to good individual moments. Brentford haven't broken football or done anything revolutionary, and I doubt we will see much change from other teams. Overloading one side of the pitch and sending a long ball != cheating or an exploit or innovation, its just good ol brexit football
I had seen much more in Tsubasa the
comic, there're no against the rule😂
Excellent analysis and well presented. You have a new subscriber and deserve many more. Keep up the good work!!
COYS!!
Brilliant analysis. Brilliant also from their set piece coach for figuring this tactic out
That is not cheating but exploiting. perfectly acceptable.
Cheating is professional fouls, pulling shirts, manhandling the opposition, diving, stuttering run ups for penalties, etc
not obeying the spending rules 115 times?
@@arkravengullmead6029
Because dishonesty and prevarication is involved with that which amounts to fraud, then the punishment should be to be banned from all professional leagues.
It’s a bit of a click bait title , but it doesn’t detract from a good vid imo ,,do agree with you about actual cheating though ,,sick to death of so called grown men rolling about for no actual reason , embarrassing
Foreign teams have been doing this for decades and, because it only works a few times, it was never adopted by other teams.
You are NOT going to see more of this, and even Brentford will stop doing it very soon.
or the game can move on and the long ball will return. tiki taka seems to have invaded the premier league but soon teams will figure it out and try other tactics, especially if pep moves on
They will score against United from kick off. United cannot defend. Cannot defend set pieces. Johnny Evans is their best centre half. Gets wheeled out now by physio and club doctor.
@@Creees Liverpool mix it up since Slot took charge. The goal is to let teams press the defence. Fast pass out to midfield and one over the top. It's had some success but also lead to the loss of possession.
It's only good as a shock tactic. If you're facing Liverpool for instance, soon as the keeper receives the ball, Virgil is moving everyone forward and winning that header anyway.
It's a tactic that may work in other instances. Attacking full backs who can shoot are very dangerous.
A wise defence would catch several Brentford players offside. Strategy nullified.
Man Utd v Brentford on Saturday, I'll be watching for it
not very often you find hidden gems on this platform but this channel is proof they exist
really good video!!! just found my new favourite youyuber.
Great video and analysis. Keep it up!
You'll see bigger channels completely stealing this content. Really good interesting info. 👍 Betting opportunities for some maybe?
Wow, give the ball back to the GK to boot it long into the opposition half! 😮
Wish we had thought of this cheat code when I played in goal in the 80s/90's.
Good analysis well presented .
Excellent video. Clear and concise explanation of tactics.
Love the custom subtitles, it may look like a small addition but it is very nice and helps me read without having to look at the yt subtitles which are a pain to look at
This thumbnail is Gooooooood
Really good video bro, subbed 👍🏿
You gained a subscriber! Great analysis!
The Long Ball game is definitely NOT boring.
Very well put together video. 'Cheating' term is a bit extreme however. I would say fantastic planning.
however.
Great Video 👍 but this is not happening against my team 😂 💪
Great video mate. You Reds!
Really good analysis.Brentford are brilliant 😊
This is a pretty standard old school tactic, every English team did this 40 years ago. Back to keeper from kick off and kick it long.
The only flaw with it is that it relies on some ludicrous finishing!
Why wasn't Keith Andrews so inventive when was in the Ireland coaching set-up.....!! GRRRR
He probably was. It's up to the coach to listen to him.
The dark arts.. scoring goals too early!! It’s not fair!
Very good analysis mate. New sub👍
I always wondered why it was acceptable to waste kick-offs. Seeing the ball passed back and then just hoofed up the park, gifting possession.
Hey, just a friendly suggestion: it might be clearer if you place the camera showing the board on the same side as the one you're facing while talking. Right now, you're speaking to the left but the board is being shown on the right, which can be a bit visually confusing when following your explanations. Hope that helps! :)
Great video mate. Subbed.
I always thought that the ball was supposed to be played forward from the kick-off.
Great video, really broke it down💯
Bernando Cueva dude, set piece coach, genius.
Actually it’s not him anymore, Chelsea saw how good he was and bought him off of us so we had to find a new set piece coach: Ex Ireland set piece coach Keith Andrews who is just as genius
@@MarblesAndMore Ah ok hadn't realised he had moved on, interesting coach with fresh ideas. Keith Andrews seems to be a good replacement on the strength of this tactic. Thanks for letting me know.
Of course I had to see this when their next game is against Man United
quality stuff m8
So they aren't actually cheating then? Its just fantastic tactics 🤔
A manager being tactically more clever than the opponent, is not cheating.
Well, you could say they cheated defenders and GK last four games inside 93 seconds he he
@@Mike-zx1kx .. If you have ever faced a Danish team or the Danish NT you would know that they may be good but perhaps not quite as talented player for player as the best, but tactically superior, which is why Brentford is in the English PL with the lowest PL budget but a Danish top manager.
@@agffans5725 Jeg ved udemærket hvad du snakker om. Dette var blot et spil med ord. Vi har begge ret i hvad vi skriver på Engelsk. Jeg brugte blot ordet på en anden måde.
@@Mike-zx1kx I only write in English, ad my time as a YT'ber is now long gone.
Saw Jack Grealish say KO was a set piece nowadays. So if he knows, everyone will!
Good video, apart from the clickbait title…. Definitely not cheating
🐝💤 unbelievable team !!!
Next, Brentford start conceding on the break after being turned over trying to score from the kick off.
Unlikely with Rico Henry coming back soon. Not many are beating him in a defensive transition.
Clicks on video about Brentford.
Uploaded keeps talking about “Brimford” 😂
The law of small numbers always applies to uhh, very small samples.
They really struggles last game. Took them 76 seconds to score. Looks like teams have figured out their strategy…..
Great analysis of Brentford’s kick off ploy. Why not pass back and then mess about in your own area. This seems to be the default solution for many teams. Let’s give the ball to the worst footballer in the side three yards from the goal line. The amount of chances and goals scored in the premier league, out number the creation of chances and goals in open play.
Great video!
Like City v rags in the fa Cup final after 13 seconds 😂
Nice video but why does everyone resort to clickbait titles now? Doubling up on opposition players and pressing to win 2nd balls has never been cheating.
Dude this scenario can be done at every goal kick or long ball instance ... yet scored only at starting .,,,
Teams are facing the ball when keepers kick off. This is when teams turn back and the ball travels over putting them on the back foot from kick off.
@@jackwilliam2965also in the first minute teams don't have that much focus they have let's say after 5 10 minutes of the game.
I like your clear accent
yo just subscribed hope u get more subscribers love the content.
A video that makes something incredibly simple seem incredibly complex and in need of detailed explanation. Virtually every team does this and the same situation arises for every goal kick/free kick/throw in. Brentford just got lucky three times in a row. They might not do it again for another two seasons.
Kickoff glitch irl 💀
Alternate theory: everything that happens occasionally will eventually happen 3 or 4 times in a row.
Nah it's planned. Look at the bodies Brentford get into the box from kickoff. Against wolves they scored in about 90 seconds and then when wolves went 2-2, Brentford scored a 3rd 30 seconds later
the german national team did something similar in their game against france when Wirtz scored in the first minute
it was a bit different, as they weren't trying to go wide and then cross the ball, but instead were baiting frances first line to come out as much as possible to create loads of space between their first and second line for Wirtz to run in to and then have enough time to concentrare on an accurate long shot
this was obviously more of a one time thing as it can be defended very easily once the opponent knows whats going on, so it's even more interesting that Brentford found something that still has a high chance of success after using multiple times
It's not a cheat code pal? It's not FIFA, it's real football. Also if there doing what you say? & I have no reason not to believe you, then that's a very well well worked out set piece, cos after listening to your content, it's not a very easy thing to do? There playing to there strengths, listening to there coach & running through walls for him!
My team is next? I'm a wolves fan 💀
I must this is genius from Brentford
Bournemouth were doing this last season
Oh were they, no one remembers because they didn't score 4 games in a row in under 90 seconds like Brentford have (or even 2 games in a row for that matter)
I think you'll do great videos mate but you said a lot of words for long ball high press
A tactician and a coach tried to score a goal. The tact said omg that was just past the post. Next time the coach said omg they got cleared off the line. They missed. The statistician said between you that's a goal!
Big up Keith Andrews
Inb4 you have to have a 2 person kick off again so it slows it down and stops it
Football is so simple, only “analysts” make out it is the football Gods that know better than YOU!😮
Interesting, but undo your little bow. 😮
Up down up down left right left right B A start
How are they allowed to set up that way as I always thought you have to set up with a recognised formation like 4-4-2 or 5-3-2 and 4-3-3 etc although I'm not opposed to the idea as even some football games allow you to create and alter formations but still stick to the initial formation which is strange that a computer game is more strict than the actual real game itself.
The tactics aren't a ruling, You could play 8 up front if you want. Back in the oldies you actually had about 6 forward players I think. 😂
This is nothing new it’s just a tactic that has been out of fashion for decades. Graham Taylor had great success with the long ball game at Watford in the 80’s, and Wimbledon were famous for it. “Put it in the mixer” was a favourite shout from the likes of Vinny Jones.
LOL...intelligent play now viewed as cheating...pretty sad commentary on the intelligence of a fanbase,
Managers going to get a ps controller thrown at his head.
L explained, but you need complete clips of the goals which you've just talked about for the last 17 mins, mate ! 😊
Nothing new with this. Wimbledon, Cambridge and even England under Graham Taylor did it
w vid
They followed the laws of the game. So they cheated by following them. Oh wait, the opposition team take the kick off in the second half. That means that by the same argument they also scored within the first minute. They didn’t?……Oh!
"Cheating"? Really? At least they are not tediously "playing out from the back" like all coaches think they're Pep and teams think they're Barca or Ream Madrid or Man City.
🔥vid
This is brilliant, insightful, observant, articulate, and f--ing boring.
Useful for a coach but as a spectator, nah!
If I were interested in this aspect of the game, I’d be watching chess matches
so they went back to the past. excellent, this is what premier league used to be about. other teams stop your tiki taka and just use this tactic. it looks a lot more interesting than tiki taka
Cheat?
Ridiculous implication.
Typical football mentality.
That’s not how football is played
Germany did It before.
Ajer is Scandinavian.. you pronounce the ‘J’ .. not Ayer .. it’s pronounced A-Ja
Bournemouth were doing this 2 years ago
Total bollocks, it's been done for years, they just got lucky a couple of times!
...and how, exactly, is that cheating????????????????????????????????? You'd do better to get rid of the click bait.
WHY use the word CHEATING???
They waited to use the Cheatcode until 1:16 played agains Wolfes
they had to make it less suspicious lol
Wolfes??? Wolves bro…
A great video, however, there is no floor on a football pitch. The past tense of 'shrink' is 'shrunk' not 'shrank'
£10 says he read this somewhere else
So that's 100% Lucky goal nothing has to do with cheating code
Not lucky at all. Pre planned.
He wasn’t being literal when he said cheating. Thought it was a decent video anyway, informative 👍
Bro they aren’t cheating
Misleading video title ,
Isn't cheating .
That is exploiting a set play , like saying rory delap cheated for assisting from trow ins 😂
How'd the other 93 mins of the spurs game go lol
