Second question, sounds like you did the Western 11, have you heard from the new guys doing reefer 48? That’s what I’ve been thinking about diving into, your thoughts are appreciated! Also, God bless you, happy to hear you’re a brother in Christ🙏🏼😊
@@davidnoonan7893 I can’t speak for reefer 48 bc I never did that. I did western 11 dry and sometimes reefer on the occasion. I did hear one person do all 48 from my orientation class and the rest of the orientation did western 11 like I did.
I did reefer all 48 and they don’t drive you all 48 and it’s not all reefer it’s mostly reefer but a lot of dry van as well I did a lot of west coast like western 11 I only went to the east coast 1 time with 8 months that I was with them went to the Midwest like twice and never went down south besides my home terminal in Dallas
@@rqgerthat thanks man I appreciate it! Over 1K a week preferably 1300-1400 take home a week. I didn’t even reach 1K at all when I was with May. Most I made was 800 a week.

Hey bro, I’m about to get my CDL, and May is one of the companies I’m looking at. Question, how was starting your career during the winter months. For the most part, did you feel comfortable on those roads as a new driver?
@@davidnoonan7893 tbh I wasn’t that comfortable when I first started out especially in the winter months I took my time and took it slow and cautious. It was definitely overwhelming for sure. You definitely gotta be careful in the winter months is not a joke. Make sure you make good judgement calls.
Your video just made me reconsider mays…I dnt want 130 a day for a year worth of experience…fck that..I finish school this week…thanks for the video bro..#GoodLuck
@@malcolmmalcolm2934 it’s only good if your a new driver after 6 months- 1 year of experience it’s better to go elsewhere bc your topped out at 130 a day for daily pay. Thank you I appreciate it!
@@malcolmmalcolm2934 you also get mileage pay as well, plus a monthly safety bonus. Idk how they pay people with experience. I'm at May, as a new driver and make about 1k a week
@ yea I’ll have to think about it…I have to be able to make more than my last job which was a lawn maintenance technician @840 a week mowing grass in Jax,fl
thx for the advice driver. on delivering loads ontime.
@@francorama your welcome I’m glad I could help. Remember no load out there is worth your life. Do what you think is safe.

Good luck on your next adventure man. How much are you trying to make a week? I'm averaging about 1k a week at May
