Welcome to a new studio vlog and painting process video! Come into my studio while I swatch some Schmincke Horadam super granulating watercolours (some of which I haven't tried before!), test new handmade watercolours by Alyona of Alyona's Watercolour Creations on RUclips, and share the process of painting one of my classic landscapes with the little white cottage and sheep. I'll be using Liquitex acrylic gouache for the first time, and I'll tell you what I liked and didn't like about this paint. You'll also get to see some of the work I've made for my shop update next week. I hope that there's something for everyone in this video and you'll find it inspiring - enjoy! Natasha xxx
Smelly paints and clove scented paints... may I suggest a "how to clean" studio vlog, please? How you clean palettes, acrylic leftovers, brushes... many people don't know how to properly dispose of waste, and I haven't seen anyone teaching it... thank you!
Mmm...smelly paints, my favourite kind of paints! The SH dot card palette is gorgeous. If I hadn't already bought some and wanted a limited palette, I'd definitely get those.
@@NatashaNewtonArt I have the Volcano red & yellow because I thought they would make nice mixing colors if I want to add granulation, and I use the yellow a lot! It's really nice.
Smelly Paints!!! so lovely to have a new studio vlog video too. The four sunset colours from Alyona are so stunning,(I think I have to order those colours!) the Seagrass Red and the Liquid Gold are really stunning. You have definitly hit on something brilliant in your pebble swatching ,a realy good way to showcase a colour in different strengths. Those four colours would be great for your new absract watercolour series. Such a bonus to see you painting in real time again too,the landsacpe looked amazing. Rhanks to you I now love the Holbien and Turner acrylic gouache. Great to see new paintings too I love the one of the pigeon and the two little galaxy/stars paintings and the seaglass and sea china pieces looked good too. I think when you update the shop again it will sell out again really quickly!. You definitly have one of the best studio views from your window too. I love the Vlog's as it's like looking over your shoulder into your studio as you work and its a glimpse behind the creative scenes.I agree about mixing on Ceramic palettes it is better,I only use those kind of palettes too now..Shame about the smelly paints though! (matt)
I actually have an idea for a pebble painting video that I hope to film soon! I'm so glad you love that way of swatching - people keep tagging me on Instagram when they're doing their own pebble swatching, so it seems to have caught on! It's lovely to see. :) It's such a fun way of swatching! Altona's paints are beautiful. I loved how transparent and glowing the Sargassum is. Thanks for your lovely comment, Matt! I'm so glad that you enjoy these vlogs. :)
@@NatashaNewtonArt Well you are Miss Swatch A Lot according to Dominic,so say 'swatching' as much as you like!!! and it s a great word to say and a great thing to do! (matt)

Now Smelly Paints makes sense! 😆 Loved the serenity of your vlog as always. Thank you for sharing my Sunset Palette and so glad you enjoyed the luminosity and glow of Sargassum, and the other colours. Sandy Toes is granulating and pigment separating so has that lovely sandy texture. 🌞 PS: You somehow made even a pigeon look appealing! 🧡
Thanks Alyona! Yes, the luminosity of that paint is just beautiful. Very impressed! I'm going to be using the gold paint in something I'm working on today too. :)

I love watching your videos your voice is very relaxing and cozy music and your painting style is so beautiful and so aming t watch and relax to. I love the moody colors in your pallettes. Great job👍!
Smelly paints! Love the new works, the birds are lovely. They remind me of Distelfink artwork that's found in the Pennsylvania Dutch areas here in the U.S. That Schmincke Glacier Green is beautiful. I looked at their color chart and have fallen in love with the Glacier Turquoise. I have also recently fallen in love with the Turner Acrylic Gouache Lame line and just bought their Lame Clear Opal and Lame Clear Diamond to go with the Lame Gold and Lame Black I bought last month. Love your studio vlogs, always so inspiring.

Smelly paints! I absolutely love that little painting. And I'm shocked to hear you can just soak the palette and the acrylic gouache lifts off. 😳 I rarely work with acrylics and when I started to play around with acrylic gouache I was quite annoyed of having to scrape them off my ceramic palettes. Thanks for sharing that part of your processes!
