Regardless of what you may think of the movies as a whole, Schumacher was great and making stylistically interesting and inspired looking films. He started in costume design after all. He was also a pretty good director. Check out some of his non-Batman films.
It’s a dream come true to get these older Batman movie figures. Yes they are not perfect with mainly paint issues or questionable sculpts but this is as close to perfect as we can get. I wish the BAF in this wave was Chase Meridian since as you said McFarlane doesn’t want to make women or civilian figures. The ones that don’t sell, he should stick them in as a BAF, with a vehicle, or two pack.
The figures all look good. Even the Tommy Lee Jones two face action figure and the Jim Carrey riddler figure too. They’d all look good alongside Neca figures of the terminator, robocop, the thing with Kurt Russell, back to the future, rocky, Rambo, etc.
Great vid I really like the 2 Face and Robin also. I will definitely pick up that Robin for my boy wonder collection. Thanks again for the review now I will get this line. That BAF is lame though.
So happy to get figures from these films that actually looks like the actors. I try to pic up most big screen figures by McFarlane. Kilmer's head being black and not blue really bugged me at first but once he was on the shelf i didn't care. Oh man I forgot about the movie soundtracks.....back when they meant something. Is Jim Carrey on the Beast Boy buck?
You really made an honest & clear reason to enjoy these figures. I’ll grant you that. My take is I can’t get these because anytime I would look at them it’s an instant reminder of the bad films. I’m a Batman fan, when Batman was going to get his own movies I wanted them comic book accurate. For the most part the MCU did that & many are great.. it can be done. Warner Bros. / DC just let the Batman world get turned into a sideshow carnival ride. Ugh. I’m STILL waiting for comic accurate Batman movie.. Nolan films were good but not accurate & Batinson is an awful version. I want the SUPER-HERO NINJA BATMAN fighting a huge Man-Bat or sewer dwelling Killer Croc, going to to toe with Deathstroke! No more “realistic-crime-noir” stuff. Oh, I heard you use the word JUXTOPOSITION ..look at the big brain on Gains. 😉
@@traviswilcox3472 lol every once in a while I remember a word. I agree with the Nolan and Pattinson. BTAS will always be the best depiction of Batman.
Personally the Tommy Lee Jones figure would go well with any Harrison Ford figure you got whether it’s Indiana Jones or Han Solo or even a Neca blade runner figure of Rick Deckard if you have it and want to recreate a fugitive reunion cause it’s been 30 years since the movie was made.
Nothing like getting black out drunk hopping behind the wheel putting in the Batman forever soundtrack and just going!
