CJ's pony parts actually had the best selection. LMC is usually my go to, but i wanteds to get it all on as few of trucks as possible. parts are here, stuff is getting burned home!

Don't use Bed-Liner!! Bring it back to the Factory OEM Paint. Bed-Liner is a Cop Out. Unless the truck is a Beater, Let that Paint Shine and show us what she is supposed to look like. Bed-Liner is a Poor Man's Restoration. The Media Brainwashed the Public into thinking that Bed-Lining Tar is OK to use for a Restoration. Definitely Not in my opinion, unless the truck will still be a working truck but then Tint it to match the paint. I just absolutely hate that crap.

Where will you source parts? For instance, if I needed a new dash with gauges.

most of the parts were sourced through cj's pony parts. i found a dash pad somewhere for around 300, but that's the best buck i could find it for. gauges however, id splurge and go for a set of Dakoda digitals. they are so nice and well worth the investment.

So...the client is going to erase 41 years of history and spend the next year or two WAITING for some sanitary, clean, shiny truck that he won't be able to drive down a gravel road...or through the bush?...Guess he missed a few life lessons...leave them to be retsored AFTER you die.

that's not the case at all actually. this is the third bed box he has done, it was shiny and in great shape when he originally bought it, and for most of its life. he has so many stories to tell. Life has a way of throwing you curve balls, he had other life plans but that changed. now he would like to see it restored to what he remembers it being when he took the family out in it. then has plans to hand it down to the grandson, post new memories, in good shape. had we not done it now, it would have been far to gone to justify restoration in the future. follow the facebook page for semi daly updates. Personally, i think those life lessons taught him well. He really is the Salt of the Earth type.
