After Jesus's resurrection in Luke 24:39 He he told his disciples touch me a spirit is not have flesh and bone as I do. In Luke 24:41 he asked fo you something to eat. Why because he had a body. @nathanporter3569 Yeah. Unfortunately. It's called subconscious bias. The reading they're doing, is drawing out their own thoughts, and challenging them. It's bringing to their minds what they naturally think. Students, to be competent readers, have to learn how to comprehend other's thoughts, and get used to thinking like other people. You get that sometimes during Poetry, and some poems that's the whole depth of them, like Ezra Pound's Cantos. Partly you have to teach them Ethos, too. That's a huge part of reading a book, is interpreting the work through the author's Ethos, rather than reading in bad faith.
The First part of the Bible that made me Cry was when Joseph forgave his brothers. That hit deep especially because I used to be the Youngest and sometimes me siblings looked down on me. That helped me to forgive. For me the best example of forgiveness in the old testament is the story of Jospeh and his brothers.
Her logic is this stupid: Imagine if she watched a news story on CNN about someone committing grape, and then she started crying because she thought it was CNN that was graping people.
Another contradiction among Bible skeptics is that they'll mock the Bible for being a fairy tale, but then cry about it being too dark (like the modern world).
@thatwifeofhis7815 The Bible is in fact the word of God, but God tell us what the consequences for sin has been for humans. Look at the book of judges, after every chapter, there is a sentence like this "in the land of Israel there were not kings and everyone did what was good in their own eyes". The pain and suffering was never God's plan for us, but humans doing what seemed good for them caused chaos and death.
Guess she didn't realize that all that mess was the reason Jesus needed to come. It is a fallen world where man is in control. She completely missed the point. Sin is death, it kills and have terrible ripples. God needs to intervene and does.
Not gonna lie, I always believed in God, and when I first read Genesis, Exodus and Leviticus. I was freaked out, I felt like dang I'm doomed for hell. Then someone with experience in the word of GOD, told me to read the Gospel. I felt soo much better after that. So give her a chance and we should guide her.
Which is sad most of the Churches that I have attended spend way too much time on Old Testament stories. Not enough in the New Testament. Sure I get it that we should be taught the history, but Christianity is about loving each other, not hatred.

There are so many evils happening now. They are also much worse than what the Bible recorded. She is so spoiled and ignorant.
You´re missing a VERY big and important step and it´s actually sad. History is full or horrible things...but did anyone say Hitler is good and merciful and our saviour? I guess not. So of course we´ll ¨judge¨ what God condones in a different light than history. It´s difficult to understand how a good and merciful God allows or orders for entire cities to be wiped out. If those passages didn´t strike a chord with you, it´s quite sad. Do those verses have a (possible, humanly found) explanation? Yes, but you need a teacher or more resources for that. Try to remember how it felt to read the Bible for the first time - before anyone came in and explained things. I hightly doubt you all got it from the first read, so....why don´t you extend the same grace to others?
To fear God means to love Him, respect Him, and honor Him. Most of us, including me, have failed to do this in life. It's the same with your parents. You love them and respect them but at the same time, you don't want to make them angry and get yourselves disciplined the hard way. So you honor them and do as best as you can. Our Father in Heaven is just the same - He loves us as His children and wants the best for us but we, out of our sheer ignorance, stand in His way. Trust me, it hurts when God disciplines us in a hard way but after reading the bible, looking at history, and reflecting on the things we have done ourselves, it's easy to see all the crap we keep throwing at Him and a good ol slap to the face is what's required to put people back in line.
i don't fear God and have commit majors' sin and have repented. what he will do to me is his will. i have full trust on his decision for me and for others sinner that it will be the best judgment. 9:40 I feel compassion for her. I read the Bible cover to cover 4 years ago, or started it 4 years ago. I read it “alone” & I say that because I was led by the Holy Spirit. I wasn’t in church, I was in the new age, grew up in a syncretic home for the most part. So my mind was already polluted. Looking back I could’ve used the church I’m in now but I chose not to seek out other Christians. Before I started reading the Bible I asked God to reveal to me who He is in the text. He walked me through & discipled me in my walk until I was ready to walk into a church. This girl has no idea how to digest what she is reading and it’s literally making her sick. I pray she pauses, seeks another Christian and that she even prays to the LORD for guidance. He’s a good father & will never leave His children broken over His word. But she has to seek Him. History is hard to wrap our minds around because we are so far removed from it. I just pray for her.
I asked where is the best place to start to read the Bible. I was told the book of John. I was told Psalms is encouraging. Proverbs is a book of Wisdom. She clearly is upset because she doesn’t understand God’s character. I hope she gives the Bible a second chance. The Bible is the Word which is a guide book for how to live.
The book of John (my name, interestingly), is known as the "Book of Love". I, too, many years ago, upon TRULY coming to faith, was advised to start there, as well.
She didn’t say she read it all, she said she’s read about 400 pages. I don’t know if she’s actually read those 400 pages, but she never said she read the whole thing yet
There are Descriptive and Prescriptive passages in scripture. Just because some things are described in scripture (sinful people doing sinful things) doesn't mean that God is prescribing that behavior for His people.

She’s only discovered WHY we need Jesus. She hadn’t yet discovered the love of our creator and Significance of Jesus sacrifice. She needs to keep reading and ask God for understanding or maybe even get some input from devoted Christians who can give her a better understanding of what she read. Yeah, it can get dark but it’s history. All history is dark and bloody. Even the history found in secular history books. Humanity in general is selfish and violent. It’s why we need Jesus. "Theres so many wars!" - exactly what my Bible study class used to complain. The ignorance is painful. What are the most important, world, history, and society shaping events? Wars. How many actually take place and over how long a time span in the OT? Not nearly as many per generation as just our country is involved in, thats for sure.
It’s amazing how she’s ‘crying’ with no tears. Girl if you don’t like God’s word, which is the truth, then walk away from the book. Open the Quran and see how ‘wonderful’ that is.

One of the main reasons why people react in such negative ways, is that they do NOT understand that LOVE does NOT mean APPROVAL ! Anyone that has been a parent knows you DO NOT approve of most of what your child does. You spend MANY years instead, educating the child in the CORRECT ways to do things NOT in approving the things they do wrong. On a side note... if RUclips will no longer even let people say certain words, how is anyone EVER supposed to use RUclips to help educate? I believe it is time for RUclips to be held responsible for using it's "algorithms" as a form of censorship. The PEOPLE need to start demanding better, and if we don't get it, STOP USING RUclips. If RUclips starts losing $ because people stop using it, they WILL change their course, or go out of business.

Yes. Judges all the way through 2 Chronicles is a hard read. Wars, corrupt kings, sin has a grip on the world. If she reacted that way to the law and historical books, Lord help her if she ever finds herself reading Revelation with that level of misunderstanding.
I just finished Joshua and he warned the people that they couldn't serve a holy God on the last page and they brushed him off. Then Judges started with the Jews following other gods and being diciplined for it. This is a cycle of them seeminf to get better and then learning nothing.
For reference I can see how quickly America has gone downhill in order of morals and ethics so I know that we are not better and human nature hasn't changed one bit.

Here's the thing, part of what she's talking about is for sure Biblical. God calls His people to fear Him. We even see that fearing God is the beginning of wisdom. One of the issues with the modern American Church is we have no real sense of the fear of God. And so of course she's going to be surprised when God demands people to fear and obey when all she knows of Christianity is a sort of pop picture of the modern, contemporary Church. Does God love his people and show mercy to them when they are undeserving? Absolutely. But He also calls people to fear Him and not simply in a way that would mean reverence and respect. All that being said, I'm sure she is also misinterpreting a lot and is missing a lot of what's being said. When I first read the Bible, I was the same in that respect. But we as God's people avoid the concept of fear.
Yes, very few "fire and brimstone" preachers around, anymore. Everyone is so "nice". 🙄 To quote someone from the secular world: *_“Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times.”_* (The quote, from a postapocalyptic novel by the author G. Michael Hopf, sums up a stunningly pervasive cyclical vision of history.)
I always find it interesting when people think they know more than God; are more compassionate than God; have greater insight than God. It’s absolutely incredible to me.
Just because “love” or “grace” are not present where you expect, doesn’t mean there is none. Much of the OT is narrative. So not sure how you can get thru the first few pages without seeing acts of love. Even among difficult passages there is the presence of grace and love. It is all about perspective - God’s not ours.
I don't understand how people like this exist. Either she's extremely immature or is completely disingenuous in her reaction. Only 3 year olds melt down like that.
Thats why you should read the new testament first as a new believer so you can understand how much God loves us ❤️ May God remove the cataracts from her eyes in Jesus name Amen 🙏 God bless 🙌

It is understandable and also unfortunate that some people first start reading the Bible from Genesis. When I have encountered an unbeliever that is interested in reading the Bible. I always tell them to start with the Book of John, then read the other Gospels then dive into Acts and move forward in the New Testament. I learned this from my dear late Bible teacher who always said, "The New Testament is in the Old Testament concealed and the Old Testament is in the New Testament revealed. True understanding of the whole Bible is only available to those who are born again. The Bible is 66 books penned by 40 authors over thousands of years, yet it is an integrated message system. What is available to unbelievers is the Gospel only. The Gospels are written to draw the unbeliever in to faith in Jesus. That faith is what unlocks the mysteries contained within and brings full understanding to the diligent.
Maybe I’m just desensitized or something but I can’t imagine reading through, being somewhere into 1 Samuel and *then* having a freak out. If she’d paused at the end of Genesis 19 to react maybe I could buy it, but everyone knows the OT takes its time, if it was nonstop action without the detailed ceremonial laws and genealogies then 10 year old me probably would have had an easier time sticking to my read the Bible in a year plan.
She didn't actually read it, she got caught up on a few passages she was likely told to look at & is acting like a child. I've been saying these young adults need to hear more Old Testament, instead of the Christian slogans they're convinced are Biblical Scripture("love is love", "Jesus loves you" & "forgive s ALL"--regardless of repentance, indecency, exhaulting yourself as your own god, etc).

She wonders why God is mad in the Old Testament. Well here is one example from a Christian apologetic website - The Bible contains the heart-breaking tale of child sacrifice practiced in the name of Molech (also spelled Moloch or Molek), a god of the Ammonites. Molech worship was practiced by the Ammonites and Canaanites, who revered Molech as a protecting father figure. Images of Molech were made of bronze, and their outstretched arms were heated red-hot. Living children were then placed into the idol’s hands and died there or were rolled into a fire pit below. Some sources indicate a child might also be “passed through the fire” prior to the actual sacrifice in order to purify or baptize the child. Molech worship occurred in the Hinnom Valley near Jerusalem. Because of this, the valley became associated with the idea of Tophet, or hell

This is just the start of many many videos that will be coming against Christianity. From the common man, all the way up to documentaries against our faith
Some of them will have legitimate insight we will grapple with…and a lot will be full of very basic errors and misunderstandings that could be resolved by interviewing a few pastors and priests. Most people will not get close enough for that because they are either so repelled by the idea of our religion or because they are afraid they’ll find out it’s true. We will need God’s grace not to react in anger; some of those same people will come to Him.

God created Adam from the Earth and said he's going back to the Earth to dust from which he came. So how was he a spirit? God created Eve from Adam's rib, a bone. A spirit does not have bones. If they were spirits there would be no need to eat, no need for food in the garden. After Jesus's resurrection in Luke 24:39 He he told his disciples touch me a spirit is not have flesh and bone as I do.
In Luke 24:41 he asked fo you something to eat. Why because he had a body. He wanted to demonstrate that he was not his spirit/ghost. The Bible called Jesus the second Adam.
If Adam was a spirit why would Jesus come into earth in a physical body. He had to succeed where first Adam failed. He had to obey perfectly in a physical body where the fist Adam failed to obey in a physical body. If Adam failed spiritually first and then became a physical body Jesus would have to come spiritually first. What then his success would revert us to disembodied spirits roaming the Earth. We have physical bodies because God put us on the physical Earth/creation.
We're going to have physical bodies in heaven, glorified imperishable bodies 1st Corinthians 15: 42.

2 Corinthians 5:2-4 NLT
[2]We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long to put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing.
[3] For we will put on heavenly bodies; we will not be spirits without bodies.
[4] While we live in these earthly bodies, we groan and sigh, but it's not that we want to die and get rid of these bodies that clothe us. Rather, we want to put on our new bodies so that these dying bodies will be swallowed up by life.
Please get with a Biblical church that can teach you properly please so you can truly know what you're putting your hope in Christ for. It's for immortality restored and being in the presence of HIS glory forevermore. Physical Adam and Eve had an intimate relationship with God Creator our God and sin severed it.

@lanazak773 Correct, that's why He sends the Helper to those who belong to Him. The Holy Spirit leads us and guides us to be like Jesus.
@lanazak773 remember the acts of Satan. Remember God gave us free will. When Adam and eve gained the knowledge of good and evil they didn't gain the ability to distinguish between the two. We are not the judge.

@@BKNeifertYou need a bit (or a lot) of the Holy Spirit.
That is an amazing story. He didn't just forgive them, he helped them when they needed it the most 🥺
Her logic is this stupid: Imagine if she watched a news story on CNN about someone committing grape, and then she started crying because she thought it was CNN that was graping people.
I don't support her, but she knows as much as anyone that the Bible isn't presented to the world as a corporate network news channel.
@jvdmeritt CNN =/= God, and everyone understands that, is what I'm saying. The "logic" of OP fails imho.
@@jvdmeritt Deuteronomy 28:15-68 doesn't describe God's punishment, but the consequences of human's disobedience

Well said...
Baby girl needs biblical counseling and possible some medicine...
Counseling would be the best option I believe.
No big pharma. This is what's helped exacerbate the madness we're seeing, in society. Too many drugs doled out by either lazy or corrupt doctors.
Polygamy was recorded as an example to all of us that it is neither productive or to be desired, and that it is not in Gods' will.
Side note, why do most American's say "all of the sudden"??
It's "all of A sudden".
It is “all of a sudden”. I don’t think most Americans, but I agree that a lot do. It’s one of our many problems
@@bruhhmomentumm I don't think I've ever heard an American say it the correct way so that's why I say "most". Seems like everyone over there has heard it said that way so often that they just rolled with it thinking it was right.
This is not the reaction of a "well" person.
She read 400 pages and found out just why man needs God. This is a seed sown. At least she read! It start by hearing the word.
Yes it’s horrific bc humans are horrible. That’s why Jesus had to show us that we don’t have to do this.
My Bible is all about LOVE
This is a skit
has to be
a minute and five, she forgets humans do this to themselves. this isn't god hating us, this isn't god oppressing us, this is god know what's best for us and him showing with unconditional love. Mankind has no idea what is best for them, their desires, morals, and sin will continually make life a living hell for everyone.
When I started reading the Bible I thought it would be about a bunch of goody two-shoes running around doing all the right things. Imagine my shock to find out that people have always been people.
Yes I said the same thing. People have not changed in centuries. I still read it and learn from it. 😊 I’m trying to find like minded people on it. Without preaching verses
@@brenda02756 Me too, hopefully, this young lady keeps reading, as well.
I mean to be fair, the Bible - the living word of the creator, well, its deep, and it takes some depth to comprehend. And well - I think we all know there are some people on this planet who just dont have the depth to comprehend it without a lot of help. Plus man, shes been so indoctrinated to see oppression in everything that she cant help but misunderstand.
Sometimes people look for excuses to find fault with something and a platform to virtue signal.
She’s reading the same KJV Bible my wife has 😭
I love the NKJV and have soft spot for the KJV…but it’s probably a tough translation for a young, modern person without a Christian background. I am a little suspicious of her claim she has read 400 pages, but that is unfair of me.
Truly (Amen). The mission has become a movement ✝️❤️🙏🏿 &✌🏿
Uh yeah, that’s why we need the last 400 pages. The Jesus part. The Old Testament paints the true nature of fallen humanity in vivid colours.
❤
Ahahahah more like yaweh true colors
There's no greater love than to lay down your life for a friend.
My goodness, where did she get her copy...the Dollar store?
I'm thinking she may be off her Meds too.
Her parents have failed
Try the Qur'an.
She is 400 pages in...in most Bibles that are like normal bookshelf size is about 9+ books. She's basically still 9 pages away from book 10 (1st Kings).
She hasn't even started realistically.
I missed the part where the tiktoker had a meltdown.
Video hasn’t started yet?
It's the whole video😂
Whoa that's weird. All there was, was him selling some organizer. It is now showing the correct video. RUclips acting weird.
@@l31007that’s called a “pre reel”; it shows before the video itself premieres
