One of my favorite/least favorite parts of being in Tanzania is when the mosque outside the window starts blaring the call to prayer early in the morning. And then on Sundays the church next to it will start blaring church songs as if it's a sadistic version of a Who's Got Talent competition, religious edition
Ouch! I lived in Istanbul for a while, not far from Taxim square. There were no mosques very near the house, but it was in a place you could hear calls from four different mosques in mornings. After a couple of months I noticed I had started to compare the muezzins, which one has nicer voice and rhytm etc. )))

Simon is the type of driver I’d happily travel with anywhere, as soon as he gets behind the wheel he drives like a local, he’ll get to where you want, plus he’s driving one of the best cars on the planet
Simon's driving is fine. just a bit quick, as it should be. No need to slow down to walking pace every time you see something on the side of the road like a grandma.
Simon is gonna lose weight, because there are no fast food restaurants. Simon will also make a bug proof jump suit that will keep bugs out, and some snake boots so he doesn't get bit by snakes, scorpions, or any other potentially dangerous biting animal's. He probably will have to eat hospital food at the nut ward Bald and Harald have to commit him to for losing his mind over the locusts that are going to swarm him because they sense the fear lol.

Fyi: The time of your recording is in one of the Holiest times amongst Ethiopian Orthodox Christians, being the week of Easter. It is because of this you were hearing the Church worship all night long. Orthodox Christians are supposed to spend this time with lot of fasting, worship etc to remember to suffering of Jesus until his resurrection. I'd say it's just a coincidence you happened to be in Ethiopia in this Holy time, and near a Church at the same time.
The hotel actually looked quite good compared to many I've seen on these videos and in real life. But of course, it was not the best time to arrive there and expect to get a good night's sleep.
