i was born 1987 so you earlier 80s kids seem like muppets to me hahaha i got the internet you just got boring carpet computers lol early 80s i know were better from what i heard and i missed oit but the whole thing feels like a frug withdraw

Oh man, I remember that American Werewolf in Paris commercial set to the Bush song so we'll. For 15 seconds, I felt like I was 16 years old, living in 1997 again. These are all great.

Does anyone remember the commercial where the kid is playing a video game and wins so he gets all excited jumping around saying "who the man" and such but he runs out of breath and the ad says "get up, get out" or something similar? Lol ive been hunting it for a while 😂😂😂😂

The Nestle ad at 39:10 is amazing. I would love to see that highlighted in a future 80s ad article, or future Purple Stuff podcast so more people can see it. Also the Xmen commercial right before is interesting. I know you love Infinity Gauntlet, but I don't remember if you ever talked about the Phalanx or the bad guy who wore glasses from X-Factor who became all techno-organic.

MATT!!! The commercial for “The Mill” at the Oaks mall plaza blew my mind!! That’s my local mall. I live in a pretty small town in Florida. I was also amazed to see it followed up by the TV 20 Regis and Kathie promo(my local tv station).... I did a “Dead Mall” video on my channel showcasing the Oaks Mall Plaza if you’re interested :)

as a child I thought that's where he lived due to this commercial - like if you visited, you would find him waving to you from the top of Epcot =/
My guess is yes there is really a person in that costume who is on top of Epcot.

I love that GI Joe was like....yeah, repaints are totally canon. Changing Cobra vehicles to Tiger Force like that....clever.

If we all concentrate really hard at the same time and hold hands across the world while singing "we are the world" and clicking our heels 3 times...I believe we can go BACK to the future. I mean back to the 80's where Back to the future was still in theatres. And theaters was still spelled theatres.
