PAUL VAN HIMST TURNS 80 I A tribute to an Anderlecht icon.

On Saturday, Paul Van Himst's 80th birthday was celebrated with a light show, unprecedented in Belgium. This is how the Golden Shoe of the century experienced his tribute at the Lotto Park before the match against KV Mechelen.

Saturday's light and sound show was created in collaboration with MaxAmaze. The Belgian company replaced the outdated stadium lighting in the Lotto Park with modern LED lighting. These lamps are not only energy efficient, they can also be turned on and off individually. Against Mechelen, our fans how this can completely change their stadium experience. In 1954, RSCA became the first Belgian club to play a game under artificial lights in a friendly against Racing Club Buenos Aires. On Saturday, purple and white demonstrated its pioneering spirit once again with a unique light and sound show, thanks to a brand new LED lighting installation. It resulted in a beautiful evening under the lights of the Lotto Park.
Thanks to a collaboration with MaxAmaze, RSC Anderlecht had the entire lighting installation in the Lotto Park renewed after the last game in the Jupiler Pro League. Our RSCA Futures’ game against Lierse served as the first test case. In the operation, the 200 traditional gas-discharge lamps were replaced by much more modern LED lamps.
The advantages are numerous. The system is eco-friendly and economical. At full power during a game, consumption is over 30% lower. The brightness can also be more easily adjusted according to specific elements before and after the match and to duels played during the day.
The new LED system offers 50% more light output than traditional gas-discharge lamps. As a result, the lights can now operate entirely on electricity generated by the solar panels installed on the roof of the Lotto Park.
As everyone could experience on Saturday night, the LED lights also provide the possibility to switch the lights on and off quickly. The result: spectacular lighting effects that provided a unique match experience. The whole experience was topped of with music carefully curated by the Brussels music venue Ancienne Belgique, who have been putting together a special playlist for each game since the start of this season.
For the tribute to Paul Van Himst, one of the greatest legends in Belgian football, our club went the extra mile. Thanks to a series of supplementary lights and spotlights, an extra dimension was added to the light show. This unique light and sound show will be reserved for exceptional occasions in the future. Like the one on Saturday, where everyone in the Lotto Park enjoyed a truly great night. For Paul.

met die half miljoen investering. bespaar je jaarlijks aan miljoenen elektriciteit. en plus wordt de verlichting geheel of gedeeltelijk gevoed door de zonnepanelen. dus dan kan je uwe verdediger kopen van meer dan een half miljoentje ;)@@dallascowboys9956
