    No matter how many clamps you have, you never seem to have enough. In this week’s video, I show you how to make clamp extenders for lengthening the reach of your shorter bar clamps. This simple add-on will make every clamp in your workshop more useful, even the mini clamps. This solution is a big money saver and can be built with whatever wood you have in the scrap bin.

    Hello Friends! I should also mention that these clamp extenders will work on some F-style clamps as well.

    Well, i've just finished making some wooden bar clamps and just came across this one today. No harm in making some of these. Great idea and video. Cheers

    Erick, this is a great design. It's functional and fairly easy to construct. You are quite a creative guy. Thanks for sharing this with us.

    These look great and I'm glad to see someone like you not using a dado stack, something that some of us haven't got access too. Thank you.

      Thanks Mark! My saw doesn't accept a Dado stack. Dado stacks cost almost as much as my table saw - at least where I live they do🙂

    Nicely done Eric! That is a great way to extend smaller clamps. I can also see making an add on extension to the original extender which would probably cover any length of clamp needed in a small shop! 👍👍

      Thanks Steve! I have a bunch of smaller clamps that I use mostly for quick hold downs. Now they can be used in larger glue-ups and it literally cost me $0🙂

    Awesome, scrap wood used and literally hundreds of dollars saved never mind the space on more large clamps. I wonder if an R style cotter pin and a clevis pin would work as well for a quicker change or if it'd be too sloppy?

    • @EricSorensenCanada
      @EricSorensenCanada  3 года назад +1

      Thanks Jeff! Yes, a clevis pin and cotter pin combo also works. I'm glad you mentioned it. I've used them many times for other bar clamp tricks.
