I worked for a large window manufacturing company in the midwest. The executive department told department heads that they had to lay off a certain number of people by seniority. In the past it was always to lay off people by seniority throughout the whole plant and people would be farmed in to fill in those spots which was easier because people with the lower seniority didn't have the experience. But the way they did it was a huge disruption to the overall plant. It took 2 to 3 years of permanent overtime to build up enough experience to go back to regular production. The layoff what's up to 1800 employees many men who had years of experience and had to cash in any benefits and if they wanted to work their had to start over at minimum pay. Needless to say they could not find anyone that was willing to work there except immigrants from the cities Manny who did not understand our culture and our language. That was the result of Obama giving the company a certain amount of money for hiring immigrants. I was one of the many older employees that had to train them and found that many of them we're very good employees but a significant number of them didn't understand the concept of being to work on time and getting back to work after breaks. Another thing that I feel impacted the production was that many of them were Muslims and decided that they must take time to pray which would shut down the lines for a short period of time. Personally it didn't bother me but I did talk to one of them and asked him why he did not pray and he said he chose to do it after work. So it sounds to me like a personal decision which I feel many of them took advantage of the company. Although I did not let it bother me because I knew I would soon be retiring there were many many older employees who were both white and Hispanic that were not happy. This was a company that became disconnected from its employees. Excuse the spelling and punctuation. It is Google voice typing because I cannot type with my arthritis.

Upon removing the converter, I discovered that with a wood chisel I could reach in and shave off enough of the clogged converter to make it “like new” as far as air flow goes. The catalytic convertor was the honeycomb ceramic type. It took a while, but I got the majority of the front face of the converter cleaned off (about a half inch or so). It ran just fine after that, but it was still a gutless wonder with that air cooled boxer engine.

The range in the mountains is 100 miles maybe, no place to charge. You can’t buy parts except from them if they want you to. The people that fast charge them ruin the battery in 50-60k miles but you can only buy the battery pack from Tesla $20k. The depreciation in the first year is 40%. What a salesman. hey scotty, I am trying to learn about cars so i bought a 2009 escape 2.5l 6f35 trans. i am stuck on something stupid, my cruise control doesn't work and my Manuel says to take it to a dealer as repair is outside the scope of the Hanes manual. well, taking it to a dealer defeats the learning. i replaced the steering wheel so i have new buttons, checked the fuses, and the brake switch tested ok with my multimeter. the brake lights are good, what other parts help control cc? please, anyone fell free to help answer this question.

Cut costs: Lay-off workers, move production for less expensive labor and by all means implement "VALUE ENGINEERING". You may ask, what is "Value Engineering"? A committee of likely inexperienced foreign engineers review an existing design that works and reduce the cost by a few more cents. However, they may unwittingly compromise the working design to the point that it may still function (hopefully through the warranty period) but may fail too soon. Happens all the time. Or, simply buy cheaper parts from China. Chinese specifications may be different and your quality may vary. Be careful.
