Finally, we made the trip back to Fred’s NFL home!! Duuval!! And Not only did we make it to Jacksonville and get an inside look to the Jaguars organization, but we sat down with the man himself, Trevor Lawrence!
Coming off a wild run to the playoffs last season, Trevor Lawrence is confident Jacksonville is ready to compete with the best of the best in the AFC and have the talent and discipline to carry the team deep into the post season. Being named one of the top 10 NFL QBs heading into 2023, Trevor doesn’t feel pressure to win but welcomes the challenge of being better each time he steps on the field, capitalizing on the chemistry he’s building on offense and the team’s tough defense. Excited about the addition of Calvin Ridley, Trevor talks about his energy incredible talent & versatility he brings to the offense and just one more reason Jacksonville could be considered a Super Bowl contender.
From 5 star high school recruit to National Championship QB at Clemson and being apart of one of college football’s most talented teams, Trevor Lawrence is used to the football spotlight but opens up on how hard it was his first couple seasons in Jacksonville adjusting and helping to establish a winning culture. Sharing what kept him grounded during the roller coaster times, Trevor says how Coach Doug Pederson was the unwavering voice for him, never losing focus and approaching everyday with consistency and the same energy no matter if it was a 5 game losing streak or 5 game win streak.
Although football is his passion and fuels him everyday, Trevor fully understands it’s just a game and that there is more to life in which he finds his balance through his family and faith. His brother who’s his best friend is an artist and barely watches football which Trevor finds peace in that bond as well as with his wife Marissa, who has been on this journey with him since high school.

Lived in Jax since I was born in '84. This is the most excited I've been for my Jags since I was able to attend the AFC Championship game in 1999. Unreal how much this dude has brought to this city.
Big facts born in Jax and been a jags since 93. The is the most excited I have been going into a season. I think because Doug and Trev will be the best QB HC duo we have ever had.
True, it's just nice to know we should have this coach and QB for at least the next 5-7 years, unless something catastrophic happens. Nothing is guaranteed in the NFL, but it is damn hard to find a coach and QB combo that works.@@joserojo8663

The difference that Lawrence and Pederson have brought to the Jags can really be summed up in one sentence: until the clock hits 0, we still feel like we can win no matter what. That hasn't been present in Jacksonville in a long time, some years being down 10 at halftime felt like a death sentence.
Facts
Man you just triggered my NFL PTSD. There were games when we'd have a 1st quarter turnover and I'd be like "that's game" and be right. Now even with 5 turnovers in a half the stadium stayed packed and I didn't stop watching.
We've NEVER had that. This is amazing.

I'm glad Trevor spoke about not having to face adversity (football team wise) until coming to the Jags and hearing his response to that. I was worried about that aspect when he was drafted. It has to be difficult being amazing at something your whole life and having that stripped away. I'm glad he was able to have that experience and overcome. I believe that is how God blesses people.. first trials then help/growth. This shows a lot about his character, attitude, faith, and strength. So hype for this season to start! Go Jags! Very Skilled QB
One of my military buddies played HS ball with TLaw and had the rings to prove it. He obv said all the stuff about him being a amazing player, but he always talked about how he was a absolute stand up guy who always tried to do the right thing. I believe he said he even used to help other kids on the team that struggled with academics as the number one recruit in the country. He may not be a rah rah leader to the cameras but he is definitely a leader on and off the field.
Channing talking like he was about light Freddy T up, but we saw that spin at the end. Would've only been tackling air!

I remember watching that Clemson V Alabama Championship game with my dad and my brother. we are big jags fans and during the game i can remember us saying man wouldn’t it be cool if the jags got him as our quarterback and that came to be it’s unreal to think how lucky we got
