After going to the person that helped me out with process, I was told that I couldn't re-instate my authority. I had to completely had to start a new company. Can I re-instate my old company with my old authority numbers?
Hi Moses. If you are getting your MC Number(motor Carrier Authority). You will need the boc-3 and insurance on file with FMCSA to activate the mc#. Let me know if you have any additional questions.
Sorry for the late reply, you can just google it and there are several. Here is a video I made on how to get your BOC-3. Thanks 2E - ruclips.net/video/3Y6AWJVoLmA/видео.html
Hello Oscar, I filled out the FMCSA, they assigned a DOT # right away. About how long should I be waiting until an MC # gets assigned so I can file for BOC-3 and UCR?
Hi there, just 1 day. The next day you can file for your BOC-3. For the UCR sometimes it can take up to 2-3 days for UCR to see your MC number. It can all be processed within the first week.
Hi Hua, the boc-3 companies send it in automatically. Once you have the confirmation back that's when its filed. You can also see it posted in the insurance and license section. Thanks Hua.
I'm in a process of opening a intrastate trucking for the state of California only. Do I need a BOC3 Number since I will only drive in California, so I don't need a MC number. Pls help.
No the boc-3 is your agent. The BOC-3 is the form and its giving to you by the company you purchase from. That company is your BOC-3 agent. Hope that helps.
Hi Mr. Oscar, I’m back again. I just got my commercial insurance, please how can I submit it and how can I get my authority to be active? Once again thank you so much, really like watching your videos. Really helpful
Hi Moses, glad to hear it, I hope you gave us a shot at an insurance quote. As for what you do next, the insurance with FMCSA does take about 4 days to process. As long as you are at or passed the 21business day waiting period you should be good to go. The insurance company are the ones who send the proof of insurance over to FMCSA and if needed the state. Your authority will show active after the 21 business day waiting period, insurance is on file and you have your boc-3. That's just for the authority, make sure you have all required permits and enrolled into the consortium if needed. Thanks Moses, wish the best with your new transportation company!
Thanks for the straightforward answer to this. I'm new to the game and didn't know this would be so many forms.
