Looking forward to the vehicles. All your videos are great, but for me, the vehicles are the very best toys Kenner made. They look so much like the ones in the movies and some were even made in the USA.
I really appreciate all the knowledge on obscure facts and pricing for these figures. I myself am starting a MOC collection and had no idea why Yakface was so expensive. In my eyes if you have the budget and space for it the coins are just as important as any accessories released with the figures. Having everything together from the original package is way more important then collecting every variant in my eyes.

when my dad and i sold off my mom's entire vintage collection of all the vintage star wars stuff, she had the final 15 and they didn't have coins with them, the place we sold them to still took them but, for half the price we would have gotten them for if they were complete with the coins. so, i understand the frustration with getting them or not.

My best wars to tell Lumat and Warok apart are: Lumat has one arm bent, Warok has the head slightly tilted and most importantly... Warok is the one I'm missing.
Never before had I seen Warok's card art and I must say, it's probably the cutest after Wicket.
About the coins, I think they are not necessary, although they are really pretty. Although if you really want to spend on those two coins, I would encourage you to collect at least the other common coins
Those are great tips to tell them apart Aaron! I only want to collect two more coins. Those being the anakin and yakface coins. I have the other 15, and don’t think I’ll ever collect ALL the 63 entire set. I’ll be happy with the 17 coins :). Thanks for watching my friend
I agree with the other comments saying get the coins for the figures that ONLY were released with a coin. IMO a Star Wars coin collection would be a whole other journey. Cheers 🍻

Another great episode that poses the question of what constitutes a complete collection? I try to collect the figures/playsets/vehicles I had growing up (with a few exceptions). I am a bit older than you and was not into collecting when the last 17 came out so I have no desire to purchase them. WHEW! Gonna save me a TON of money! (No desire currently*) Glad I came along for the journey and will try to keep it together next Sunday during your last episode.

When I competed my set of loose figures, I decided to get the coils that came with the last 17 (PORF) figures - it was a lot less expensive then (like 15 years ago) than it is now :-)

Power of the Force Coined Figures available in the UK too! In London in Particular towards the end of the line. I have at least four, five or six Coined Figures. Off the top of my head, Popup Lightsaber R2, Luke Combat Poncho, EV-9D9, Imperial Dignitary, A-Wing Pilot. But they were sold in the UK too. I Remember thinking to myself about having to pay more because of a coin. And then everything hit the Basement Baskets!

I remember when the Tri Logo Cards first hit the pegs in the UK. I thought that they were weird and ugly? They just look so random. I was so enamoured of the original Card Backs. They encapsulated everything that is the Star Wars Aesthetic. Clean and to the point. You didn’t need to see anything else. The Power of the Force Card Backs were a Return to Form. They were just good looking and exciting!
I never was big on the coins anyway, so I never worried about getting a loose one to go a long with my loose figure for display. Mostly because I had them anyway on my carded packaged figure set.👌😉 But you collect what you love brother.👊😎✊

Guess it really depends on the collectors. Personally, I was never a fan of the coins and originally opted not to go back and collect them. I finally caved, but set a strict budget per coin. The prices are all over the map and fluctuate like crazy, also adding to the insanity. Wait long enough and you’ll usually find the price point you want. Also: Paying for Anakin’s coin seemed unnecessary - virtually everyone I knew ordered the mail-away Anakin, and he didn’t come with a coin. That seems like ‘original state’ to me. Yak Face is just a pain all around.

I had a few POTF figures as a kid but personally I don't feel I need the coins. I have them for Amanaman and Royal Guard which I graded but I just don't have the itch to go getting coins, just figures. And I'm more of a Luke focus collector too. Great video!

I'm way ahead of you on vehicles & the playsets. I'm missing parts on certain ones no biggie. The parts themselves sometimes can cost more than The playsets & vehicles. I'm waiting patiencely on parts to find them. Good luck hunting the vehicles and playsets. They can get really expensive. Shawn

I haven’t seen any coins in the wild where I look yet but I’m not sure I want them for the last 17 or all that were released or at all. Seems like a run as hard as the last 17 with some of them priced in the same range. We will see where the journey leads tho and if the deal is right you never know. Great video.

Completing the coins 🪙 is very tough! I only have a few on card and a couple loose! My Yak Face is on Trilogo so no coin 🪙 and my Anakin Skywalkers are all Trilogo! Warok I have on both cards! I will drop a short for you in a jiffy! Cool video and keep up the fantastic work!

I consider the coins as a separate thing. Since the POTF figures didn’t have coins outside the US. and most of the coins only available as a mail away, I don’t count them. That said, I am still collecting the coins, just with less aggressiveness than the figures.

I think if the figure came with a coin, you have to get it. Just like any other accessory. Maybe do a future run of getting all the coins? Just a thought

I'd definitely finish up the POTF figures with coins, but I'd go after ALL the coins, not to throw you in a deeper hole. :)
Me personally, I'd want them all, but I'd go after coins that would commemorate certain characters, or figures in some way.
This is strange to me, I've seen Anakin coins on the net for $30.

Thanks T! Yea the anakin coins that are 30 bucks you have to make sure those aren’t reproduction, that is, if you are trying to get the authentic coins. If you don’t mind getting a knock off, then that’s no problem, but just don’t try to resell them and pass them off as the real deal. Thanks for watching my friend

Alright Joey, you asked us at least twice in the video if it was necessary to get the last two coins to complete the loose run - but you also answered your own question and know that yes, it is 100% necessary to have those coins to complete your loose run. You're stuck now buddy. 😂
So while you might have all the figures as of episode 100 (which by the way, I was a bit surprised you let the cat out of the bag about getting your VC Jawa in this episode about it, but numerically it makes sense so I'll let it slide), you'll definitely need those last two pieces of aluminum IMO. 😉.
I counted in my collection and have 24 loose coins & 25 coins with their MOCs, but no Anakin or Yak Face either. Looks like those were even elusive way back when I was deep into my purchasing run in the late 90's/early 00's. But I'd love to have a full set of all 63 coins in their display. How cool would that be? One can dream.
I've got a bunch of other things I could comment on, but I think I'll leave those for episode 100 as they might be even more relevant in that comment section. Until then, I'm just happy to be part of the community and really have been enjoying every episode that you've put out. Looking forward to your next release already...
Thanks Mopar :). It’s no secret that I have to collect the VCJ for the journey to be over, it’s been on my list from the beginning. Those little discs however… man I think those are going to be harder to get than anything. The anakin disc is super easy to forage. Thanks for watching my friend

Awesome Joey. Can’t believe it’s episode 101 already! I’ve never been that interested in the coins. Coming from the UK we only had tri logo cards. I only own one now which is a carded potf B Wing Pilot. In a way I’m pleased because I could never afford to get them all lol. I think if you’re going to get the Anakin & yak face coins you should collect all the coins! But if it were me I’d probably just leave the collection as is with out those two coins just because of the price… but that’s just me😅
Hey SSW! I think you are right. I am fine without them in my collection. If I find them for great deals, I wil get them. For instance, I saw a coin for 350 and passed on it. I should have considered that one. But then I saw one for 1200 graded at 85. Those prices I am going to stay away from like the plague, when I can buy a coin at 350 that is already an 85, then grade it for 35 bucks, then boom it’s worth about 800 automatically. 1200 was too high and that’s a little over retail at the moment. Sorry for the rant, but I was thinking out loud. Thanks for watching my friend
you seem to be on the road to collect the entire collection so for you, it may be necessary, so yes you should at least start with the 17. Anakin and lumat and yakface of course are pricey

Interesting subject. For me, I feel that if you are a completist, you can stick with a 1st issue philosophy and only get the coins of the last 17 (technically less but we won’t go there). Especially if you don’t have a connection to the coins themselves. I know collectors who love the coins because those were the first figures they collected. So of course there is an understandable attachment. I know there is a segment that feels you need all the coins to be a “real” completist but I disagree. Most 1st run figures never had them. So a complete figure wouldn’t have the coin. Just my 2 cents. Congratulations on your journey. You have come a long way.

Lke most, l only ever got the figures and coins from the first release run cards. If I could find coins for cheap I would pick them up. So while I do have all the coins for the final 15, I only have a few for the rest. No anakin or yakface. Was never really impressed with them. Good luck on your last figure. I would hate to have to get a VC jawa in this day and age with all the fakes out there. Glad I got my 3, one still in the bubble, over 20 years ago. Today I would only buy one graded, and I hate graded figures, and only from a trusted source. Good luck.

I don't think the coins are necessary. They are cool to be sure, but not worth paying dearly for. The only coins I have are for a few figures that were based on Ralph McQuarrie designs. I don't have any POTF coins.

Nice episode (4th episode I've watched). I only bought the figures before, but started going for coins during Covid period, which wasn't the smartest time as that's when prices sky-rocketed. Now I would like to get all the figures with their coins as that's preferable to me, but I need 10 more and they are mostly Level 5 coins so seems unlikely in near-term. Also don't have the same type figure case you do, but I do have the coin case/holder you use and I display my loose with their coins where I can (don't always fit on the spaces). To each their own. I notice you have some figures with the coin in your case...how did you get the coin to stay on same level as figure? Do you have a long stand wedged in there?

Since they were not only released with the coins I would not worry about it. But saying that my Anakin came with coin. When I was younger.
