    Nonstop Sports you need to check your facts. Rodgers has made several laser throws from even more awkward angles than that one Mahomes made in the Super Bowl loss to the Buccs. Mahomes is a top-2 passer of the 21st century but Rodgers is clearly number 1. Favre had velocity, and momentum, on his, "rocket balls," (a term Holmgren invented for Favre), which are low trajectory finger breaking Scud missles. Rogers can rip a fastball that somehow has arc, which rises like a normal pass, but much faster. The crazy thing, is that the balls screams out and up, very impressively, but then starts a sharp downward dive, like a peregrine falcon that sees its next meal a mile and a half away, and the ball will travel as fast as another strong-armed quarterback throws line drives, but Rogers will put a picture-perfect arc on a ball that travels just as fast. I've only seen two other quarterbacks that could do this in my entire life, but Rogers has better velocity. And just so we don't get confused at a strong-arm being everything, JaMarcus Russell was drafted by the Raiders number I don't know I think he was the number one pick in the draft and that guy could throw a ball through the uprights from the 50-yard line while sitting on the grass. He can throw it within a yard or two of the corner pylons from one knee while on the opposite 40-yard line. There are videos of that guy throwing football 80 yards without some ludicrous running start, just normal hop step throw, 80 yards. Too bad his work ethic didn't match his talent.

      Nice write up!
      I watched all the greats starting the late 80's. That said, Josh Allen in todays game might be strongest arm I saw. The ease with which he zips it is very effortless it so seems! Sometimes I wonder if we will see a high velocity 90 yard arc from him slowing only for the receiver to catch up!!
      Speaking of arcs, Rodgers might be the most beautiful as you say, Moon was not bad. Elway, and Young are honorable mentions.
      But darts? None sharper or more dangerous than Marino. Rarely saw an arc from him though. Another quick release QB I love to watch when he is on was that left handed zipper and work of pure artistry, Michael Vick. If he only he did not mess with the dogs and stayed normal...

    • @Metalbass10000
      @Metalbass10000 Год назад

      @@TakeAbackPak good call on Josh Allen. Not only does he have a strong arm, but his mobility for a big man, and his sheer competitiveness, the will to win, is very impressive. Agreed on the greats of earlier years. There's certainly some more, but you have to include those you mention from that era. I have wondered what Elway would have done had he played on those 49er teams. I doubt those Bronco teams would have made it to the Superbowl without him. His arm, the strength and accuracy, his mobility, competitiveness, and read and recognition would have been something to see on those teams.

    Having the strongest arm In the league isn't just about how far you can throw. It's about how fast you can get the ball to a receiver down field in a small window. The drive and velocity of the ball. And nobody does that better than Arron Rodgers. He wins games in the last 30 seconds by doing stuff like that which no other active QB can match.

      Rodgers has the fastest release in NFL history. That is from the time he releases his second hand from the ball until he releases the ball (called load to release). Rodgers is at .30 seconds and Marino was .31. Most QBs are at around .38 seconds. Plus when you add Rodger's crazy velocity, he gets it there quick. Now I'm talking prime Rodgers. There was never and still nobody better than prime Rodgers.

    I keep seeing all these comments saying "Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Brett Favre, or Aaron Rodgers has the biggest arm in history rubbish." As a guy who used to work for a well known NFL scout who is still active? I can tell you wholeheartedly the greatest arms that have ever been seen by scouts. They are as follows: Jeff George, JaMarcus Russell, Dan Marino, John Elway, Josh Allen, Michael Vick, and then Brett Favre in that order as far as the strongest that the scouts have personally ever seen. I don't think people truly understand just how strong Jeff George's arm truly was. Like it was just not real...for anyone human or not to be able to throw an NFL ball as hard and as far as he could. By no means was he the best thrower. That means pretty mechanics, accuracy, and strength combined. I'd say that is either Rodgers, or prime Drew Brees if we are being honest. I always try to explain to people just how strong of an arm that Jeff George had when he was young and in the prime. In baseball type of thinking? Think Aroldis Chapman, or Nolan Ryan type of elite arm. I will always laugh when I hear people say "Aaron Donald, JJ Watt, or Miles Garrett are the league's strongest players in history" as well! Lol😅😂. James Harrison, Larry Allen, John Randle, Hugh Douglas, and Dan Saleaumeau laugh when they see those types of statements. All the scouts throughout NFL history know who is the best all time at everything.
