This I like. This is great! If your unable to buy these minis, a person could use different color bottle caps, I would imagine. Or maybe print some copies off ihe computer printer. The way you explain and how upbeat you are makes these games so exciting!! Thanks for this.
This is a good presentation, thanks to the House of Wargaming. I always think the scenario (objectives, timeline, forces, terrain) makes a tactical puzzle for each side to “solve”. The unknowns and dice give you all the many variables No ruleset can provide.
Agreed, which puts the game out of reach for me. Three corps to a side , I think, to a much longer battle. You would wind up with a solid two to three hour game. That's great for a convention, but doesn't really fit in with the offerings of this channel. Hopefully, the little taste I give of corp versus corp is enough of a taste.
I do enjoy these thought exercises.
I don't play Absolute Emperor, but I DID learn something! 10/10, exactly as on the tin. Great vid!

Lego pieces work well too.

Infantry is the rock, Artillery is the paper, Cavalry is the scissors.
While I havent played such a large battle I feel 3 corps is the natural number once you have learned the game - a center and each flank.

Thanks :)😊
When your BME is a division, yeah, one corps on a side is not getting it done.
I Enjoyed this
Poor rulebook organization makes a game better! That's why AD&D 1e, especially the DMG, is the greatest game of all time!
wargamers VAULT has printable counters or use LEGO pieces
Can you give us a link or something to Jim's Channel?
