    Here is a rare bird - a doctor who understands ANATOMY and mechanics! AND is smart, a critical thinker and cares about people. Everything a doctor should be. So refreshing. Thank you for the video. This isn’t exactly my painful spot in the foot, but it is so encouraging to know somebody would know how to diagnosis what I do have. 😀

    I honestly can't thank you enough. I am a nurse and for the longest I have had this pain (on and off for 3 years). This video and exercise is the first time I have felt relief during a severe pain episode. Thanks again!!! Have a blessed day!

      I am also having problems with ankle pain ! Similarly it comes and goes with exercise, or when I am heavy lifting during work! I have tried various foot rollers, golf ball massage, ! Pain medication unfortunately has no effect as this is nerve pain within the foot ! I am going to carry on with Physiotherapy at home ! This video simplifies ankle pain as it is not easy to tell where pain is actually coming from ! 🤔😊

    I’ve been living with foot pain for almost a year after wearing a pair of heals. I finally figured out by studying foot anatomy what it was. But like was said whipping it in place was not enough. I was finally given the tools I needed to fix it! I am beyond grateful. I’m finally pain free. I’m an RN and I’m on my feet constantly. This has transformed my ability to be on my feet.

    Hi, I was suffering from the plantar fasciitis for about 4 years which happened because of the intense badminton I used to play. I consulted a physiotherapist and went through various treatments he used to give like russian, tense, waxing, IR treatments etc and many exercises. This helped me a lot and the main points of pain due to PF are gone. However, I am still suffering from the outside foot pain probably due to 5th metatarsal injuries. There are two points in the 5th metatarsals which are the centre of the pain, and the pain is not going. This is a really serious problem. I wear archfit slippers and shoes as per the recommendations of the doctor. It is very difficult for me to stand for long time even after wearing the archfit footwears. My X-ray and MRI reports are completely normal. One place of pain is just before the cuboid in the bottom, and second point of pain is after the 5th metatarsal bone. Could you suggest something?

    here's a few things for plantar foot treatments
    Try to rest your feet
    Try Wearing supportive footwear
    Try ice on your heel
    Take ibuprofen or another nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug to reduce pain and inflammation
    Wear night splints
    Do stretching and strengthening exercises.
    (I read these and the reasons they work from Rohon Foot Care site )

      Those are helpful but if cuboid motion is lost they will not restore calcaneocuboid mobility hence my video. Many attempt to just directly mobilize the cuboid such as with cuboid whip but a deeper understanding informs that the calcaneus has a significant influence on mobility of the cuboid and second to that is the navicular.

  • @jasekiely9761

    The talus bone is considered the keystone of the foot, so looking at its connections/relationships first, before worrying about other joints like at the cuboid, makes alot of sense to me

    Hello I have a question: does pronation have any influence in development of cuboid pain? I've been running for a while and I'm starting to feel this pain exactly where you show in the video, and I was wondering if it might be from the fact that I pronate a bit or maybe the shoes I bought are not adequate for me. Thank you!

    • @JerryHeschInstitute
      @JerryHeschInstitute  5 лет назад +1

      I see cuboid syndrome as being associated with a supinated rearfoot and midfoot, of which one would typically have hyperpronated forefoot. I hope this is helpful.
