This is so funny to me because all I know about Zakk is from his post-drinking days, and despite his bad-ass image, everything I've heard is that he's a genuinely nice dude. Very respectful and all that.

Let me save you ten minutes- I was a nobody doing whatever VH1 told me to do when Zakk Wylde showed up drunk. He did stuff that drunks do. Oh did I tell you Zakk and me are very good freinds? It was crazy. The end.
Zack is still one of the best real Rock'n Fk'ers on our lousy planet.He has to be sober but has not lost a single bit of his insanity! I dare anyone to try and do a 1 on 1 guitar back and forth with em,it would be like bringing a slingshot to a rocket launcher fight. ;)

liquidvizions If you are old enough to have been a teenager or adult in the 80s, you looked rediculous. Plain and simple. You either were, or would have too. Zakk was far less rediculous looking than most guys in bands then. Never thought he had the "glam" look.
Come on. Be honest, No Rest for the Wicked Zakk was totally glam. Tight ass bell bottoms, teased up hair, bangs, etc. It was the 80s, and we all looked ridiculous with our mullets, cut off jorts, etc. Zakk has always coincided his look with what he is doing. When he did the Pride and Glory thing, he had the Van Zant look. He even played a rebel flag guitar, even though he was from Jersey. It's just part of the business.

liquidvizions it's called maturity. You should try it some time. There's more to life than just going out and getting fucked up all the time. Ask Duff McKagen or Dave Mustaine if they like their life better now that they're not wasted all the time.
