Reminds me of the Redmi Note 8 pro. Superior gaming performance via mediatek, fine IPS panel, great battery, decent camera and dirt cheap. Right around 300 clams now although I bet it drops in price soon.

Redmi was really good about continuing with security patch updates on that device so I'm not surprised you're still able to use it. I had purchased the Mi-9T at the same time (3+ years ago) and Xiaomi stopped all updates on that model long ago yet they kept up on the Note 8 Pro. Continued updates on specific devices probably correlates with higher sales worldwide. I have the Realme GT2 PRO and we bought a Google pixel 7 about the same time 3 months ago. The Pixel has a good camera but the older Xiaomi devices are far superior quality. The Pixel 7 has lousy touch screen response and far too often you have to double and triple tap the screen. The Chinese phones are just so much smoother than Samsung Apple and Google.

The car scene yes, it's unavoidable, the road was just too bumpy. The recorded clips in the hotel were mosty shot on 1080p @ 60fps and 4k, no stabalization features (steady mode) in effect. 🙂
Hello, I just wanna ask your opinion. I'm between three options. The first is samsung a52s, second is poco x4 gt and the last is poco f4. I would like a phone with a very good battery life (and to last for a couple of years, I've read about issues with the battery of poco phones after the first year), with a fast processor but with good battery management. Honestly speaking, all 3 devices are good interms of the battery. It just boils down to your preference between LCD : POCO X4 GT AMOLED : A52s and POCO F4 Then of course there's the UI either One Ui or MIUi. Amongst the 3, the X4 GT has the biggest battery, but because the other two has AMOLED displays, it also consumes less battery in certain situtions. And if you're looking for something that would last? This boils down on how you use the actual device on a day to day basis, hopes this helps 🙂

Between the two that you've mentioned, although the X4 GT is good, I'd still pick the POCO F4. in a general sense the Dimensity 8100 virtually performs just as good or slightly less than the Snapdragon 870 on the POCO F4. And if you plan on editing videos on your phone, the POCO F4's AMOLED display will give you more accurate colors. In terms of gaming, almost 99% of games on the playstore are more optimized and up to date with Qualcomm Snapdragon devices, so you wouldn't go wrong with the POCO F4.
For games, this is absoletely the beast for 2022 midrange range. Other than that, do not expect to much but its not bad at all. I would say, its an average compare to its price.

Honestly speaking, I'd go for the F4. Snapdragon 870 even to this day is very well optimized and powerful. It's not as powerful as an 8 Gen 1, but it is still an 800 series snapdragon chip that can handle gaming very well and any other task.

Ye know what, this phone is cool and all but im ok with the x4 pro 5g, im not really a heavy gamer who prioritize graphics alot, i only care about a decent fps atleast steady 30 to 40 fps
It is technically being considered as a gaming smartphone so the expectation is really geared towards performance and gaming. It is just that since it comes with the camera features, it might as well be talked about as not a lot of people can have multiple devices 🙂

Gaming is okay, I wouldn't push it too far since the direct counterpart of the Dimensity 8100 is the Snapdragon 870 which is just a refresh/updated Snapdragon 865. It'll handle any games you throw at it, but after a while (1-2 hours) there's a bit of throttling but not to the point that the game will be super laggy and unplayable.
nope, no issues whatsoever, if anything that I've encountered that's probably a bit of latency but that can be due to the network when playing games on mobile data which only happened once, other than that, no issues. 🙂

Depends on the room temperature. I've noticed more visible frame drops when the room is relatively hot and the graphic setting is maxed out. Though something worth factoring in is your internet connectivity, not the speed but the traffic of who is using it (if shared wifi) or on mobile data and how good the signal is.

I don't usually talk about battery life because the lifespan of a device on a single charge may vary depending on the activities done in a day. But during my testing, Light to moderate can last me a solid 1-2 days on a single charge. Moderate use (multi tasking, gaming, RUclips, etc), whole day with 10-15% left Heavy use, you're gonna need to charge it after 7 hrs.

And don't forget, when you actually use the phone for phone calls, the gazillion pages that are opened in the backround from your ear touching the screen. Not even the sensor can work as it is supposed to work and de-activate the screen. oh and don't let me start about the cameras at the back that are not fully and rigidly attached to the circuit and you can hear them bang if you move your phone up and down or very gently hit with your fingertip the lens. There is always a reason for the low price despite the impressive hardware specs.
Poco did a wonderful job with this smartphone and I think it is a smart option for gamers. Cool Mediatek chipset as well.
