One of the first females in my youth that "Made me feel funny" Thanks Edie :)
😂😂😂
At age 7 when these came out, I thought Edie Adams was the cat's pajamas. ❤
we used to sing these Muriel ads around the house as kids ... "why don't you pick one up and smoke it sometime?"
🎶 Muriel Penatella Extra! 🎶
Edie was beautiful
Indubitably
A beautiful and classy lady
I loved watching the beautiful Miss Adams in these commercials when I was a kid.
Me too. She was the hottest thing since sunburn.
@@jonchrysostom The hottest thing since The Blob (Erik Cigars Commercial).
I still enjoy IAMMMMW, and she was great in that movie.
she was hot. i was 16😮❤
Very classy 😊
What great commercials one is better than the next was about 5 when they were on but never forgot them' No wonder I became a cigar smoker. Sure a lot better than watching ads for life insurance . lawyers and medications
It’s ironic that her husband Ernie Kovacs promoted Dutch Masters and Edie promoted Muriel cigars.
Not ironic, just a bit disconcerting.
I remember these.
I just started smoking Muriels, thanks to this vixen. 😉
Make West and
Edie Adam's. She had the attention of Every Male from 7 to 70.
Even in our dreams
half a century later.
Don't you mean Mae West?
As a 7- 8 year old boy I remember these commercials on TV and Edie Adams very well. Today at 65 years old I can honestly say I have never smoked a cigarette or a cigar; and have never wanted to.
Ok ..good for you ! But Edie was GREAT...I barely remember
moi aussi...I'm 73 - almost (wouldda been 12 or so at the time)
40 years old quit drinking and started smoking cigars instead
I was a teenager in the sixties and oh what a time it was to be a teenager.
I remember these commercials as well as Miss Adams and all the television sitcoms of that time that had hot beautiful women as part of their cast.
"I Dream of Jennie" anyone?
Back then teenagers where smoking more than cigars if ya wanted to hang with the "cool crowd".
Fortunately I didn't caved and never got involved in smoking cigars or anything else... Edie or the "cool crowd" not withstanding.
Like most boys at that age my hormones' where jumping all over each other like a raging fire inside of me.
The good news in all of this is, I was blessed genetically and didn't have much trouble attracting women whether I hung with the "cool crowd" or not.
Sometimes the cool crowd wanted to hang with me.
It was a good time and a good life.
I've been a "Chad" most of my life, single most of my life, have no children by choice, and now being almost in my sixties have few regrets about my life choices. The few small regrets I do have, I take ownership of them and blame no one but myself. Even at this late age, I can still turn heads when I walk into a room.
Good memories, great times.
@@im1who84uyou were a teenager in the 1960s and are "almost" in your 60s now? I think your math skills are about as faulty as your self perception skills - you're almost 70, gramps, and you ain't turning any heads when you walk into a room!
p.s. you do know that being described as a "Chad" is an insult, don't you?
Class and smouldering sexuality.
A combination sorely missing today.
That's around the time her husband Ernie Kovacs died tragically.
sadly yes it was, she made due the best she could. They are buried side by side today.
I thought the second commercial was going to be the Beverly Hillbillies for a minute.
The hottest thing since The Blob (Erik Cigars Commercial).
Sex and elegance, what a great combination.
There's nothing elegant about smoking.
And you smell like a dogs butt 😛where do I sign up?
I remember the chain of beauty shops “Edie Adams Cut and Curl “
Excellent!!!
Gilbert brought me here!
Were those not the good old days?
hermosa
Nothing like this anywhere in 2018.
k
Do you have Jan Daley's?? 1970s
Now you can buy a silver dime for a buck.
rupaul brought me here!
Me too! 😄💋
They inspired the Village People. (2nd spot)
That is my wife, miss Muriel
Does she smoke them herself, or only the men?
Back in the day, women smoking cigars was not socially acceptable. Edie was allergic to smoke but was in trouble with the IRS over her late husband (Ernie Kovacs) tax debt. So she took whatever roles she could to pay the debt. Really curtailed her career in that she was a genuinely talented and attractive woman but was cast in a lot of supporting roles when she should have the star. The Muriel ads ran for the better part of ten years....and, of course she never smoked one.
Edie also got 82 years old.
Great to know, but
How do you know she was allergic? Is it mentioned somewhere on the Internet?
It's mentioned in her biography, "Sing a Pretty Song"
Great to know, thanks.
she dont smoke the men
A shame that such a disgusting product was hawked by one of the sexiest gals ever.
