I love this line of succulents. I had most of them once but lost them in bad weather 😢. Its ok ill have them again one day. Ive also heard of both names for topsy Debbie 😊
Thank you for sharing these interesting facts , eye-opening details about Succulent ancestory which is fabulous also for you time, efforts for the education. I hope you have a beautiful Sunday and a fantastic weekend ahead 🙏 Also a big thanks to Bob Foster for his remarkable work in the creation of one of the best creation of all 'G.Debbie'.
I always enjoy learning parentage, thanks! 🤓 It's great you have all the plants yourself to demonstrate (besides the mystery echeveria). I'm glad your lavendar pebbles pulled through too! Personally, it's one of my favorites. So chubby! >.< 🥰
Thanks! It's so much easier to explain when you have the plants in front of you! now my target is to find the succulents parents and get the whole family together lol hope i find them lol ...i love knowing the history of how the succulent came into being ..so much efforts and hard work put into it .. unfortunately the new generation of breeders just put out new hybrids no documentations these days ..yes m happy she got through the attack infact all the succulent on that shelf have recovered amazing well ...i love lavender pebbles too
@@LushGardener lol! Maybe you can get the family together one day 🙂 I love researching the backgrounds too. I can be a big nerd sometimes. Just can't get enough of this hobby! I don't know if you've noticed this too, but, I have the most trouble finding info on Korean succulents/hybrids. Language barriers maybe..or they're so new? Translations of Korean sites wasn't helpful either.
i completely agree…yes this hobby gets so interesting it’s like a sink hole you keep going in and there’s no end to it …Korean ,Chinese,Vietnamese …I couldn’t translate on my iPad but laptop did it…but it was disappointing lol …I could read lotus or land lotus lol …I have commented on many Korean pages for ID but they won’t respond 😆
I agree! It’s a learning curve, but once you get their routine, they’re beautiful. yes debbi is bit a task ..i usually have an issue of underwatering...if leaves are plump and they fall it can be due to easy watering
I unalived my E topsy turvey and I won’t buy another one as I am not a huge fan. I have also had 3 G Debbi rot on me. I think they like more water than I give my succulents. I noticed yours is in a plastic pot which means it gets a bit more water than in the clay pot so it is happier. I still bought more because I love purple succulents so much 😂 Lilac spoons is the hardest one to keep alive, even though it gives me offsets, after I water it the leaves start falling off for no reason. I struggle with all 3 except G lavender pebbles, they like underwatering because of their chubby leaves they like me 🩷 and they love sunlight so they don’t stretch 😅
Oh yes, it’s definitely a learning curve with each plant and we have to find their specific needs 🙂....i agree on that Debbi need water ..more often .....yes one is in plastic and the other one is in concrete pot ...now m more into practice of touching the lower leaves ...once i feel the lower leaves are soft no matter what i will water them on the third day ,,,correctly 95 percent of my succulent are nice and stiff ..also due to the recent rains and moist environment ,,,i love purple color too ...my pvn is always thirsty ...i should have given her a plastic pot ... i cant make more concrete pots so i will be recycling food containers which are plastic ...also i felt my soil mix and plastic pot combo works well because of the dry climate earthen pots need more watering
only you can share such in depth detail information about succulents ♥♥
