A clarification: you don't actually get extra clicks the further you get (actually, I'm pretty sure clicks scale differently to different actions / rooms in terms of how much of your timer they cut, so if anything I think you get less clicks the further you get). The extra animations are handled, in general, by starting sooner and / or having less clicks between animations. But, I believe that you get less clicks total on the wine rack puzzle than you would earlier in the episode; similarly in E2 I think you get less room for error in the statue puzzle, etc. And, this is not in fact the only episode to do this! S2E1 actually has dynamic animations as well, with the following variations possible: -The monster only kills the drunk guy if you've already gotten the item you need from him; it spares him if you somehow trigger the animation before even performing that action. -There's extra animations depending on which room you're in once again- most notably, if the monster chases you to the final room, you get this terrifying animation of the sewer water rising up through the ladder hole and the monster's shadow visible inside said hole
That is prette weird. I triggered the scene where he saw the shadow monster and he was still fine since I was right next to him. Guess I didn't want him dead for some reason.
Ye, this shit was my white whale for years. It's been a few weeks and I'm still euphoric over finding it. Now that it's there I can't imagine going back, the episodes just sound wrong without it now.
finally i've found it ahahaha i remember this fucking game since i was a little kid, oh gosh i had the worst jumpscare of my entire life ahahah and now i wanna really watch it all complete ahhaahha i don't even know how i find it....but i did ,and now let's enjoy this journey into some good old memories. P.S. it's also awesome to read some comments same as mine where people played it as kid and searching for it as adults guys we are like a weird little community ahahahah
3:00 I think you're wrong about this, I still have the old swf files from the mid 2000s, recovered from a game disc I had. They never did have any music.
That's because they were completely separate MIDI files that would play alongside the SWFs. They weren't part of the SWFs themselves. The way they had it set up was at certain points, the SWF would call for a specific MIDI track. And then that track would play in a completely separate tab/window. I know, it's weird.
The fact that it doesn't have any music is what makes it spookier, in my opinion.
Took me forever to find this game again! I remember this scaring the hell outta me as a kid. Thank you for uploading this!
It's interesting to know that the original bgm in the very first episode is roughly the same as the first episode of season 2.
Also, a correction: you don't have to restart from the start of the episode if you're playing my restored build, since save games actually work there.
As a kid, i was very scary whenever i play this game
IM BACK FOR REWATCH LMAO. 😭
thank you so much for making this video. the only game i ever played of this series was season 2 episode 4, but now i can know the whole story!

It was actually TheJoker who found it. He was nice enough to then spread it around! 😊

Wait a minute. That music is a variation of the one in The Stone Circle. So that tune is Prescott's theme, technically?
Yep! And likewise, the themes you hear in Episodes 2 and 3 of this season are Ophelia and Gregor's themes respectively.
