Its too bad Terry didnt have more opportunities to work different programs in wwf besides Jyd. I think thats why he left

On a shoot I heard that Terry said to Jimmy Hart "I can't take it anymore." He saw a direct flight to Amarillo, TX, and left the WWF due to working so long with the JYD, and how stiff he was. Not sure but it might have been the time Terry wrote Vince Jr., a note that he had to go home to the Double Cross Ranch in Amarillo as he had a sick horse.

Yeah, other than a short house show run & SNME vs Hogan, he worked almost exclusively with JYD

Terry Funk is one of the all time legends of wrestling and a truly unique individual, but his time in the WWF/WWE are the low points for me. It seemed that he was caught between being his usual insane character and a cartoon version of himself. Still good, but nothing like when would go off on Lawler ,Flair or Dusty.

The WWF style was to soft for funk.

Very toned down compared to his time in Memphis. Guess when your not dealing with the clearly corrupt Memphis wrestling which favors that no good Lawler, you get to be less emotional.
Somehow he aligned with Jimmy I see, another victim of the corrupt Memphis. Suspended over a lil' flour, while their lil princess Jerry Lawler gets to tar and feather others yearly, including Jimmy, and never pays for it at all.
