I really appreciate this video. My mom is a vet and too many times people adopt animals because they think they’re cute and fun without realizing the amount of work and effort it takes to take care of them, and don’t do any research, and in the end it ends up hurting the animal. Glad u made this video!

Ghost is so happy with you, keep him. You’ll take care of him, and loves you. I know the idea of a big dog in the apartment is not ideal but with his trauma I think him staying with you would make him happiest. I also think he’s adding to your and Tom’s life in a lot ways you weren’t expecting

I couldn’t agree with you more. I have a husky and a border collie and they are hard dogs and it’s a lot of keep up with but it’s so worth it. I had a “friend” had a husky cuz she thought they where cute and she would just keep the dog outside all the time EVEN at night time and the dog ended up being attacked by coyotes 🥺. Having a dog especially a big one is a lot of responsibility. So thank you for being a responsible owner 💕✨ dogs are family
not giving the dogs a safe space to sleep outside at night is irresponsible but i have two outside dogs (a lab and an aussie shep/ dixie dingo mix) and they love it out there, they come in sometimes when it’s cold but they prefer the outdoors, not all dogs like to be inside dogs :) we also live on 10 acres though so the dogs have plenty of room to run around and play, if the friend that you’re talking about doesn’t have much space for them to play i can see how keeping them in the yard all the time is an issue

This makes me so mad, how can you give up a dog? And even just after a day?? My adopted dog didnt let me even touch her for 6 months when I first adopted her because of her past traumas, it took a year before she took a treat from me. It takes time to build trust I worked with her everyday, it wasnt easy but we are best friends now. And I cant imagine how people just "give up"
Have a blood test & get your hormone levels checked. The medication might not be agreeing with you and you should definitely stop using it or switch back to what you used before it gets worse. Always be careful with taking medicines that play with your hormones, as the whole endocrine system is connected and one hormone that is screwed up might affect the rest. So be careful lovely
When I was in 6th grade, my uncle “couldn’t afford” to get his male and female cat fixed, so they then proceeded to have a litter of kittens which then proceeded to all mate with each other. Then he has like 30 incest cats to feed AND get fixed. Great plan. I felt so bad for these cats that he just didn’t have the resources to properly care for and love. So I begged him to drive 3 hrs to take 6 new kittens to a no-kill shelter near me so they could have better lives someday. Shelter wouldn’t take them because they were like 5 months and were “too old”. So we ended up taking them to another shelter because he really couldn’t handle these cats but it wasn’t no-kill. The shelter workers took one look at those kittens and said “don’t worry they’re young and cute, they’ll get adopted right away, there’s no way they’ll get put down.” So we surrendered them. A couple hours later my Aunt felt so bad for surrendering them she wanted to drive all the way back and pick them back up and find some way to make it work even tho they’re pretty poor. I called the shelter back to tell them we were coming back for them because my Aunt was worried about them. The shelter lady on the phone said, “we don’t have any kittens here.” And I was like “what do you mean,” and she said “oh do you mean those feral ones dropped off this morning?” I said “no? They’re not feral, I’ve played with them and held them and brought them all the way there no problem. They trusted me” and she said “they hissed at us when we tried to remove them from the carrier and we put those nasty ones down right when they got here.” I was traumatized and horrified. I felt despicable and I had only wanted to help them. It makes me so angry when people don’t fix their pets because they think it’s cute to have kittens or they can’t afford it or they’re like “someone will want them”. They think it doesn’t matter. But there are so many kittens getting killed because they don’t have a home and you’re just popping more out to go to you don’t even care where because you can’t be bothered or it’s kinda neat to have tiny versions of your cat to then casually toss aside wherever. ITS NOT CUTE ITS A BIG DEAL. Usually people with the fucked up mindset toward not getting their animals fixed are poor people who just haven’t really thought about the end result or the impact so I feel bad for being mad at them. But if you can’t afford to fix your pet, you can’t afford to have a pet.
please please please, if he has kittens again see if you can take them when they’re around 7 weeks and if the shelters in your area are that horrible, you can rehome the kittens on craigslist and sites like that. this is so heartbreaking to me bc i live on a decent amount of land and we have stray cats that pass through, we put a cat door on our barn and we have a couple strays living in there. i feed them and they’re starting to trust me, haven’t gotten to the point where i would be able to get close enough to have them fixed but they have kittens sometimes, and we don’t have good shelters in my area either but i promise u there is always people that will want a kitten. when the strays had kittens we would “rehome” them on adoption sites, or craigslist, and charge just enough to know that they’re going to a good home (because if you put them for free, you never know what kind of sick people might take them) we’ve rehomed a few litters of kittens this way and in my opinion, it’s a lot more humane than bringing them to a shelter because with shelters, you never know what they might do with them 🥺

I think some people grow up in animal-less homes, always wanting one but not knowing how to connect with them, since they didn't learn it growing up. Guys actually stop telling her to adopt Ghost. Fostering saves lives and they would have just adopt a dog if they wanted to. Stop saying " hE's sO aTtAcHeD tO yOu, aDoPt hiM" Ghost wouldn't be alive if they hadn't fostered him and they can save more lives now.

To teach your dog to let you brush his teeth, first start with your finger. You don't have to brush the inside so he can keep his mouth close. And when you do it come from behind. So sit him between your legs and gently rub your finger against his gum and teeth for few sec and then give a treat. Repeat everyday until he is very confortable then you can ad the toothbrush :) And use some dog toothpaste it will help a lot. Words of a vet tech ;)

I wish that guy were banned from ever getting a dog. That's so horrible and irresponsible. If I knew at the time, I would've come to Ghost's rescue right away. I live in Oregon and have fostered a few dogs myself until recently adopting my own black rescue lab. I've also had my heart broken giving away my very first foster that I didn't realize I became so connected to. I cried for a week.
Hailey i had a dog and one day he went missing and i was so sad like... i cant explain that feeling. I kept him for 10 years. He was found 1 week ago but dead. Keep that cutie he deserves to have an owner like you idek if you are reading this but if you are.. i can see the love between you both and please keep him at least for my dog goldie i miss him so much and i would give my EVERYTHING for him :( please keep ghost
I have a husky and I’ve lived only in 1 & 2 bedrooms apartments in Louisiana with her so far (one day I hope to have a real home for her!!) y’all should just keep him!! he seems to really love y’all and huskies don’t do well with just anyone💛 also you can just given him greenies daily for his teeth/breath!!
Tip:if u are ever fostering dog/any animal- sign/make a frikin contract! As soon as you mention contract to suspicious person they will drop out and won't want to foster. Facts. Plus, if they broke contract you can sue their ass.
As an animal rescue employee, people can be the worst. We check all the references and ask all the questions and still end up with people like this guy ready to give up at the first moment of difficulty. It's heartbreaking that people think its ok to adopt an animal and then just change their mind. It's always the people never the dogs that are ridiculous and the worst part of the job.
Ghost looks exactly like my baby Blue! He was hospitalized for a week last October due to epilepsy complications and he died during the night without me because of covid restrictions (Portugal) in the veterinarian hospital... It hurt so much imagining him all by himself in a cage and probably so confused with the drugs they gave him.. seeing Ghost just brought tears to my eyes... Blue was a 15 year old husky-lab mix and was with me since I was 9 (I'm 23 now). I miss him everyday ❤️ Funny thing is.. I also had an argentinian dogo named Ghost when I was 4. He was much bigger but very gentle with me and loved to play!!
I'm so sorry Sara :(( I think dogs have a way of connecting with you and picking up on the energy that surrounds them. So when he was in the vet, I'm sure he still knew that he was there bc you decided it was the best decision for him. Sending you lots of love angel 💗

About the hair, my mom went from blonde to brunette post-pregnancy because of the hormonal change, so I do believe a switch of birth control could do that to your leg hair as well. Altough, you might want to verify with your gyno out of curiosity.

Hailey i had a dog and one day he went missing and i was so sad like... i cant explain that feeling. I kept him for 10 years. He was found 1 week ago but dead. Keep that cutie he deserves to have an owner like you idek if you are reading this but if you are.. i can see the love between you both and please keep him at least for my dog goldie i miss him so much and i would give my EVERYTHING for him :( please keep ghost

I have a husky and I’ve lived only in 1 & 2 bedrooms apartments in Louisiana with her so far (one day I hope to have a real home for her!!) y’all should just keep him!! he seems to really love y’all and huskies don’t do well with just anyone💛 also you can just given him greenies daily for his teeth/breath!!
Tip:if u are ever fostering dog/any animal- sign/make a frikin contract! As soon as you mention contract to suspicious person they will drop out and won't want to foster. Facts. Plus, if they broke contract you can sue their ass.

As an animal rescue employee, people can be the worst. We check all the references and ask all the questions and still end up with people like this guy ready to give up at the first moment of difficulty. It's heartbreaking that people think its ok to adopt an animal and then just change their mind. It's always the people never the dogs that are ridiculous and the worst part of the job.

Ghost looks exactly like my baby Blue! He was hospitalized for a week last October due to epilepsy complications and he died during the night without me because of covid restrictions (Portugal) in the veterinarian hospital... It hurt so much imagining him all by himself in a cage and probably so confused with the drugs they gave him.. seeing Ghost just brought tears to my eyes... Blue was a 15 year old husky-lab mix and was with me since I was 9 (I'm 23 now). I miss him everyday ❤️
Funny thing is.. I also had an argentinian dogo named Ghost when I was 4. He was much bigger but very gentle with me and loved to play!!
I'm so sorry Sara :(( I think dogs have a way of connecting with you and picking up on the energy that surrounds them. So when he was in the vet, I'm sure he still knew that he was there bc you decided it was the best decision for him. Sending you lots of love angel 💗

About the hair, my mom went from blonde to brunette post-pregnancy because of the hormonal change, so I do believe a switch of birth control could do that to your leg hair as well. Altough, you might want to verify with your gyno out of curiosity.
Hey, protip for toothbrushing... just try to boil some lamb or cow bones and give him to chew them. It’ll make his teeth cleaner and better
