Hi Angelo, love your tutorials, easy to follow. I noticed that if I click on other buttons (the ‘Details’ buttons) without closing the prior open pop-up window then I can’t close them at all, goes into a loop. Wonder if you encountered this and know away around it. Thanks
the triggers for the buttons, can the same action apply to plain text? I'm working on a menu and I would like the same action but for a menu item on my menu pdf.
Hey is there a way to export this as a preview without having an adobe subscription somewhere on the web? like i know i can use epub and load to view it on my ipad, but i'm talking like having a link to it to showcase something like this in my portfolio, so that anyone can view it on a web page
Hello! Thanks for this video, very clear. I was trying to figure out if it was possible to make a drop-down menu with multiple choices appear using indesign.... Do you know if it is possible?
Thank you!🙏 i just have 1 issue! Please help.. when i preview, everything works, the rollover, the clicking to pop up the photo the close button etc.. BUT it only works once for some reason! When i rollover or click none of the actions show up again.. Do you know why??
@@kristenmoore4473 honestly i think some kind of conflict with the commands was happening.. I deleted it all and re did it.. and it worked.. but ye, i dont know what the actual problem was! Hope you can work it out too, the whole process has been quite frustrating ha and i also have a looot to go
Hey Arul! Yes, you sure can. Hosting on your own site is a little more complex. There is a File > Export > HTML option but this requires additional coding if you have that experience. There is always the option to subscribe to in5 - which allows you to go right from InDesign to your own site with no coding required. However, it comes at a monthly subscription cost. It's a very popular platform though so I would check it out.
angelo, can we click Detail button multiple times? i noticed that when i click detail button and everthings work properly, and then when i want to click that button again,. it wont show anything again
Hi Pieter, the only way of sharing this on social media - and something I do frequently - is screen record the portion of the screen. It's a great way to generate a video to share on social media. You can also convert the screen recording video to a GIF using Adobe Express.
Hey. Great video. But how did you get your Card Sets? Text and Image seem to be locked together? On my project, animation wont allow my to select the whole layer, and just allows the individual sections...Text, or image. Do I need to merge them as a layer? Thanks
Hi Jonathan! The key is to group the content for each card. For example, the Everts Winter Jacket (Card 1), the jacket, title, description text, order online button, colours, sizes are all grouped. You can do this by selecting the objects you want to group and going to Object > Group. A shortcut is Command + G (Mac) or Ctrl + G (Windows). Create 3 versions of the close button and place them on separate layers with the cards for each. I hope this helps you.
Hi Angelo, great tutorial. I have created a doc with similar pop-up boxes for information fields and will be publishing online. Only problem is, I need to give people the ability to download the pdf version, which means the 'view' pdf downloaded contains all the pop-up fields layered over one another. Is there a way to choose which page view you want in the download pdf? I would want only the base layer to show, without the pop-up boxes for example. Thanks
Hi Angelo. Great tutorial! You got yourself a new subscriber. Question - Has a pop-up window that appears/animates over a button ever disable the functionality of that button? I'm following your video step-by-step, but for some reason, my second and third buttons/pop-windows won't work once the first pop-up window animates over those buttons. Would super appreciate the help. Thanks!
Hi there. In this case, I would add an invisible trigger button on a layer that is at the top of your layer stack. You can watch that here: ruclips.net/video/Zevei94umko/видео.html
Hey Leone! From my research and findings, I think the best ones for Windows are Calibre and Adobe Digital Editions. I recently tested Calibre for Mac and it supported all the features I set. Someone mentioned Microsoft Edge EPub reader to me recently, so that may be worth looking into as well.

Can we create a live website in indesign?

Hi Lian! You should be able to click that button as many times as you'd like. It would just re-open the window each time.
How to do interactive PDF with this functions????
Yuri, this won't work for PDF Interactive.
great tut
I see that you are publishing this online, but is there a way to make an interactive PDF instead If I needed a document and not a website?
Hey there. No, unfortunately this won't work for PDF which it's Flash-based and doesn't support HTML.
Most welcome new video
when i export this as a epub file, how can I play this in social media advertising?

Hey Angelo this is an amazing video. Can I do all this in 2019 InDesign?
You sure can Eren!

it all works in preview. but after i export to pdf. the pop up wont work and just stand there
Hi Yopi. This won't work for PDF because Object States isn't supported from Interactive PDF.
@@AngeloMontilla ah.. that's a pain. Because (i think) not everyone have an epub reader on mobile and not want to install another app reader.
like your video 😊
very dumb question... did u made those "cards" on indesign?
Not a dumb question Herbert! Yes, I created them in Id. Rectangle shape grouped with all the text/image/buttons.
Hey Angelo awesome stuff here!
Is there any good tool/app to preview an epub on Windows systems?
Thanks in advance.

Is this accessible?
Nice tutorials, but is there a easier faster way? like a script/plug-in or AI lol! this is too much.
