Hi Uncle Jessy! You sure can. And you can also install on the OG "Cool Plate / Engineering Plate" flex plates. Just yank off the old Cool Plate sticker surface.
@@BV3D@BV3D That's Great news to my ears, I just bought 2 sets, so that gives me 2 plates with 2 different ones on each plate, So I can install one of each and have a backup sheet when needed. I am getting ready to install them now. Thank You
Subscribed - Thank you for going straight into the details without annoyingly long fluff talk. Had no idea not to put glue on and would have ruined my print if you hadn't have explained it!
I bought the Ideaformer full collection of plates and they work just fine although the PEY has to be heated to 65C. Unlike this BL offering you don't have to apply the stickers and they are double-sided and work out cheaper. I cant figure out why BL did not supply a 2 plate option so all 4 stickers can be used!
@5:19 THANK YOU FOR MENTIONING THAT....THATS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING AND LOOKING FOR A ANSWER....ILL PROBABLY PURCHASE MORE BLANK BEDS SO I CAN HAVE THE OPTION OF ALL DESIGNS
I bought two of these for my A1 mini. That way I get two spring steel sheets and can use all 4 patterns. Plus I get spares. Bambu also gives a 25% discount for buying two.
Respect Bryan, but I've been using these for about 3 years now. They were once known as PFLAT. Oh, and BTW Tommy Liao, the originator of PFLAT is now offering his stolen product with a magnetic bottom now, so no more adhesive headaches. Thanks for sharing sir!
He Bryan, thanks for the review. Been using 5 double sided alie plates for some time now and they work great. Costed a fraction of the BBL versions. Its cool BBL offers a 1 stop shop for their products but if you feel adventurous and want to save a few pennies here and there Ali isn’t that bad.
I found that the effects easily rub off of the print when touched. I printed three sparkly prints for keychains - and all the sparkle effects came off just from me grabbing them to put on a keychain. Is that normal? I've used different PLAs and each print had the same issue, kind of disappointing after the trial and error of getting the print to finally adhere to the sheet. :/
I'm still using the blue phone case I printed, and what seems to happen is that finger oil and stuff fills in the microscopic grooves, I just gave the phone case a quick wipe with a paper towel and isopropyl alcohol and the stars are back.
Hi! I thought it was there, but you're right, it wasn't. It is now, but I'll include it here, too: makerworld.com/en/models/470778#profileId-380298 Thanks!
You could probably do that to a certain degree. There are companies doing that sort of thing to put logos on the build plates that transfer to the prints. But I don't think you can do it with high enough resolution to get the rainbow effect.
It had been on the support page with the installation instructions, but it looks like they've got it up on MakerWorld now. Here's a link: makerworld.com/en/models/470778#profileId-380298
I would love to know how many successful prints you have got with these because I am having such a hard time with these, I’ve used numerous effect plates and these are terrible I’ve done so many adjustments and nothing works but I can use my Amazon effect sheet just fine lol
I ordered these on Amazon and they came pre-installed on a steel sheet. Is that new? Seems much more user friendly than a sticker? Or did I over-pay for these?
Does anyone know where to download the alignment jig for the Plate and Sheets Combo? The only alignment jig I can find is for Bambu Labs cool plate and high temp smooth plate and it will not work with the combo kit.
The bar code on the front of the packaging just takes you to the front page of the Bambi Labs Wiki Page and if you try to search for the install instructions nothing is found.

This is the number one question that is not posted anywhere on the bambu website lol.. Are they one-shot like transfers or are they reusable? It is crazy how businesses fail communication 101. Thank you for the great video BV3D
Hi! There are alignment jigs for A1 (non-mini) and X1/P1 series (all the same build plate size) and for A1 mini (smaller plate). The links are on this page, below an installation video: wiki.bambulab.com/en/filament-acc/acc/3d-effect-sheets
You never said one way or the other, but couldn't you put one sticker on each side of the spring steel plate? Then at least you wouldn't have to swap as often. Get ya a spare plate with one sticker on each side and you're golden.
You could indeed. I was waiting for confirmation from Bambu that you could do that. They DID confirm, but I had already recorded the video. So I'm confirming in comments that yes, 100% it can be done! Thanks for asking!
@@BV3D this got me thinking... If putting a sticker on one side requires an extra 5 to 10° heating, I wonder if two sheets would need 10 to 15° for prints to stick
Haha! Thanks for noticing it. It's a slight remix I did to an existing model, adding alignment pins to make assembly easier. You can download my remix here www.printables.com/model/499365 and you can find the one I remixed here www.thingiverse.com/thing:5545033
The jig for the original Cool Plate sheets aligns on the two little holes in the front of the build plate. The new jig aligns on the back corners of the build plate and actually clamps it in place. I think the new one provides a better chance of success, but that's just my opinion.
Hi! Like Andrew said - They're sized for the X1 series, P1 series, and A1 (all the same size, 257mm x 257mm. They also have them sized for the A1 mini (183mm x 183mm).
@@BV3D ok thank you Bryon. I’m considering one for my 300 x300 bed. Fulament system and already have magnetic bed. Just have to adjust in slicer and watch where I place piece on bed
I guess? I remember a while ago people were taping down diffraction grating sheets to their beds and printing directly on them. I knew there were similar sheets for other printers, but I didn't know they had them sized for the Bambu Lab printers.
That looks awesome. Ordering a set now! Dumb question. Can you install one side with one sheet and the other side with a different sheet?
Hi Uncle Jessy! You sure can. And you can also install on the OG "Cool Plate / Engineering Plate" flex plates. Just yank off the old Cool Plate sticker surface.

Very useful and detailed, love your energy! Mine arrive today, and I'm preparing for them 😁 I think I'll be using the Starry and the Diamonds mostly
I like that there's a jig to print.😁
Hi Denise! Jigs are cool. I like that it has threaded parts, and the threads print without needing supports.
woah now that is clever. thanks for showing this to us all.
Sure thing! 😊 Thanks for watching (and being a channel member for the past two years)

Hey do you have an update on how long they last?
I bought my first (maybe) C1 yesterday (maybe its even coming today already 🎉) and im super excited
Is there a link to the jig? I couldn't see one in the description

@@BV3D Awesome thanks for the response! I did throw in a bunch of searches but turns out "jig" isn't in the print title. Thanks again for the link!
@@Webbsy You're very welcome!
A maybe stupid question: Could you actually use a plain PEI sheet and an engraver (laser or mechanical) to do your own pattern as surface?
You could probably do that to a certain degree. There are companies doing that sort of thing to put logos on the build plates that transfer to the prints. But I don't think you can do it with high enough resolution to get the rainbow effect.
Bambu suggested buying 2 combos - so you have have one of each sheet ready and one extra of each sheet. That's what I plan to do with mine!
Where can I find the jig? I’ve searched maker world and can’t find it. Found the PEI sticker tool but not the jig you’re using.

but you not say in video the stars will hide when u touch it there any way to keep it ? not hidden in future ?
Can u put an effects sheet on both sides of the spring plate?
Yes you can! I checked with Bambu Lab and they said it was OK to do that.
Can I put an effect sheet on each side of the spring steel plate?
You can. Also, you can use the old "Cool Plate / Engineering Plate" flex plates.
So does this work with non-resin printers ?
Hi, this specific product is for Bambu Lab printers, which are all FDM and not resin. So...Yes?
Does anyone know where to download the alignment jig for the Plate and Sheets Combo? The only alignment jig I can find is for Bambu Labs cool plate and high temp smooth plate and it will not work with the combo kit.

Maybe im thinking outside the box but if you have other build sheets you could use then to put the other pattern sheets on.
Where can I find the download for the jig. ty
Are these consumable or can they be used perpetually?
These are consumable. They'll eventually wear out.
This is the number one question that is not posted anywhere on the bambu website lol.. Are they one-shot like transfers or are they reusable? It is crazy how businesses fail communication 101. Thank you for the great video BV3D
These are available for any printer on ebay and amazon. Not just a Bambu Lab.
True, but the specific product I was showing is a Bambu-specific size.
Can you buy a steel sheet on its own, that way you could stick all four sheets then
is this alignment for A1 or X1/P1P only ? can you share the link

i dont understand what makes these better than the allie express plates with the same patterns?
I have adhesion issues. Do you use glue on this?

whats the recommended plate temp for pla?
Hi, Bambu Lab says to set it between 60˚C and 65˚C for PLA.

I can't print with my a1 mini, the nozzle stays too high
Would be intelligent if they'd add a tap for the effect sheet in the filament settings so one has not to manually change that every time.
I'm embarrassed to admit I just got the joke for the "@@" AT-AT model in the back left. 😂😂😂 😔
