After one of those 10-min sets, if your kettlebells are heavy enough, you’ll feel like you’ve been lifting for 20 min combined with 10-min cardio. It’s appalling.

@@austinclay427 I hear you. True; but most people don’t need to “test” themselves. They need to get healthy and maintain for a sustainable lifestyle! But yes, good test.
No, it isn't. If you can press the same weight you are squatting and rowing than you must either be severely disabled or you won't progress due to the lack of stimulus. It simply is not enough load to trigger an adaptive response. His shoulders will likely get a very good workout. His chest and tris might if he has the upper body strength of a toddler cause that few push ups really isn't doing anything unless that's nearly all you can do. His lower body and back isn't getting shit done at all, but maybe his heart is. Decent cardio I guess, but that could be improved upon very easily and clearly was not the goal. He obviously was aiming for full body, but got cardio with some shoulders.
@@JTP1999 Agreed. Looks like an engaging sort of cardio warm up I'd see firefighters do before training or a ten minute at-home total body for suburban moms before their botox and brunch.
@@CameronMcKean-s8x care to explain your reasoning? You have row, front squat, pushup, press, and clean. That covers every major muscle group in the body.
When the first one said "clean" I thought for a second someone was suggesting what i always think when i see people working out everyday....like go do something productive....instead of lifting a weight that helps noone but yourself, go do some manual labor that helps your neighbor. Just as good of a workout or better, and you make the world a better place too.
I detected about 0.5 seconds of eccentric control coming back down from the press, maybe the start of the squat, but that's about it. Also didn't detect anything above 3% range of motion before another muscle group kicked in. Still a tough workout, I just can't see it doing anything, at least from a hypertrophic perspective. Maybe my priorities are wrong.
Well you use an appropriate weight kettlebell, so that it's challenging but not impossible, and increase weight of kettlebell (or time doing exercise) as you progress. Simple.
These armor building complexes need a work song that guides the movements. I think the tendency is to push through too quick. Going into full fight mode isn't great to do regularly, and is hard to resist for those starting out. Needs routine could use more legs.

Oh how I wish I had two kettlebells. I’ve given myself so much of an excuse to just keep one around but now this workout is totally changing my mind.
Single kb exercises make a lot of sense as they train anti-rotational stability.
You could probably find another one at the store...
Just try it with one - harder and even better for you!

Great sesh for the whole body and a good cardio workout at the same time.

Throw some renegade rows in with this as a variable and it would be killer
