I got one in christchurch new zealand that im restoring.came from the desert in california.what an awesome car.americans sure know how to build the mean arced cool cars
You're very modest about what you have there. If you put a correct year 383 back in the car and rebuild the tranny, it's worth a lot more than you think. I love it!!!
Thanks Samster, it originally came with a 361, I am lucky to still have it after all the years. I just don't have time to work on it much, and can't afford /don't trust shops. Maybe someday we'll do more work on it.
@@richsadventures1889 well Sir, that's a very sweet paint job you got back on it after the wreck repairs. It looks like the same color that's on my Dad's old 64 Polara 500 4speed 426 Street Wedge. I am curious if you did the paintwork yourself? If so, what paint did you use? My Dads car is starting to wear thin on the corners of the roof from the years of polishing and waxing, and I am waffling over whether to repaint it or just keep it as it is. It is just gorgeous, as is yours, and honestly, I get just as much enjoyment out of gazing at it as I do driving it, but seeing a deep blue hue all over the car without the light spots like mine has, revives the old debate.... I suppose you might have been told by now, what makes that over rev on the 2-3 shift,,, it's a combination of the clearance in the direct clutch pack and the adjustment of line pressure in the valve body. I have been rebuilding 727's and 904's since high school and they are pretty simple to tighten up performance on.... if you decide you want to learn how to there's great manuals from ATRA you can get that will guide you step-by-step through the complete overhaul process. There's not much more satisfying than to take apart a slipping old transmission and put back in one that will squall the tires on each shift. Anyhow, thanks for sharing this gorgeous old gal with us!
Oh Richard, you're being too modest. It is a fine car. Straight, seams, doors line up nicely. I wonder if that burnoutitus might have something to do with the previous blown engine ectomies? Ever take it to the track? Mitch's GTO hit I think it was 12.55 seconds quarter mile. That was with slicks and headers, 455 and newer style stage 2 heads. How's the price of fir and availability these days?
@@richsadventures1889 I'm going to need some to restore an old fir floor. Remove a couple boards with bullet holes from a murder in 83, then weave in new pieces.
@@richsadventures1889 I'll know the size and how much the 9th when the tenants move out and I tear carpet up. I have a lead on a couple bundles now if it's the right size and I can take your stuff off your hands if it's just collecting dust, turn it into some cash.
Very nice Car , sweet mopar. At that. Run good 440 727. Blk interior clean Out side. You take good care of it. I had a 67 Coronet 440 318 block 340 heads and intake 273 Cam and lifters and dual-point distributor 360 timing chain and gears it ran strong a 727 tranny got stolen . Got back
If the transmission is slipping some it may just need some adjustments made. One outside the transmission and one inside when the pan is dropped for a filter and fluid service. Hard to find old head mechanics that know what I'm talking about and that could adjust the bands.
Yeah John, i know a good tranny guy, (Transmission) he said the same thing. I have a couple other trannys also, just been too busy to work on the car for a few years.
she's beautiful ! love the color . i've been building a '66 Belvedere with a 440 for several years . love these old B bodies .
Love that color also wheels

I bet it was a nice car. Thanks for watching.
Beautiful
Thanks Ricky, is this Ricky the Floor Guy?
@@richsadventures1889 No sir. I'm just a plumber from Georgia.
Super cool ride!!! Glad to see you enjoy it!!! 66-67 B-bodies always a favorite.
Nice car! Thanks for the video and the burnout!
Hell Yeah
Nice wheels. About your crash...
I'll bet there's a good story behind it. 🙃
Those caps are a one year only style ('68). Let me know if you ever want to sell them.
Love Coronet 500s,my parents had a '68 with a 383 loved that car wish I had it today.
The 68's were SO CURVY compared to the 66 & 67's.... love them ALL though!!

Not bad for a $130.00 compleat engine. Haven't looked for Fir lately, but oak is hard to get and the price has tripled.

Slipping like that, probably just needs the bands adjusted.
