Because those of us that don’t work at McDonald’s don’t have all day to resell stuff. If it takes me an hour to list something on eBay, pack it, and ship it, and I’m not making bare minimum $200, it’s literally not worth my time.
lol at people always complaining about this guy. He does the research and puts in the work to get eBay money for these items. The people selling at these garage sales are just trying to get rid of stuff most of the time. Even if you told them what it’s worth on eBay, they’re never going to put in the work to get that amount for it. It’s not his job to educate everyone.
I do this at estate sales. I find plenty of vintage stuff to flip for 10x-20x what I buy it for. I'm upfront with the sellers and let them know exactly what I'm looking for and what I plan to do with it. Often, they point me toward stuff simply because they know I'm almost guaranteed to buy it, and they'd rather have it gone. One time, I even told a family that a large cabinet they had priced at a couple hundred dollars was an antique worth at least a thousand dollars, if not more. They still didn't want to mess with trying to find the right buyer at the higher price because they needed everything gone from the house so that the buyer of the home could move in.
That's a lie my uncle took over my grandparents house when they passed away he wanted to just throw everything away but I've slowly categorized everything amd have posted everything for sale now my uncle doesn't mind have pules of junk in the yard that he can make money off of. Does he want his yard cleared already? Yes. Would he prefer to yard sale or throw everything away and make no money? No. So now he has to put up with everything so he can make money
I tend not to buy any cosmetics that could be separated in the containers such as creams and lotions. Even if they're in date, you don't know how they were stored previously.
Because people who go to yard sales will not pay whatever EBay value is that’s why they go them in the first place. People who shop on EBay will obviously pay more money based on other sold listings, just the way the world works and it’ll always be that way
