John Doe I agree she looks past the judges bullshit calls especially San E's. She calls it how it is even if people think that she acts hard she says whats on her mind
teejvye alapol I completely agree with you, and I was very proud when she spoke her mind on certain things. It was satisfying to see San E and the other judges called out on their bias. Jessi is honest in a very endearing way... She can be confrontational, but she acknowledges another person if they do well. When Jolly V went up against her in the semi finals, Jessi praised her for being able to create such a moving peformance. And despite the belligerence that she initially showed, she is truly a caring person and acted as a mentor to Jidam.
You know what I really love about Jessi, is the fact that she takes care of Jidam so much. From the get go, she's always saying Jidam is her baby and always wants/helps Jidam to do well in every mission. And to be honest, I think Jidam was able to get into the finals because of Jessi.

Jidam did get a lot of help and motivation from Jessi but without her own mental preparation, dedication, betterment and improvement she wouldn't have reached the finals even with Jessie's help.
She favors Jidam for a reason. It pretty obvious why. Because at least she ain’t acting like she’s all this. Jidam voices is really it, and she doesn’t brag about it. She’s not bitch
They worked together so well here! Even though I thought teamwork battles in a show about individual talent was rather vacuous, Jessi and Jidam were amazing together. I hope that some of the rappers from this show collaborate in the future, especially Cheetah and Jessi. If they ever released an album together, it would be the most fierce collaboration that the world has ever seen. :)
Thy Dang Now that Cheetah has been announced as the winner, I think this dream may even come true. After all, Jessi, Jidam, and Cheetah are on another show together. They have a pretty good chance of continuing to work together occasionally, since Unpretty Rapstar boosted their fame. :)
Thy Dang They are going to be on a variety show called Taxi together. It's going to be released on March 31. :) The three of them were invited to talk about their experiences being on the show and as rappers. They were also filmed doing a outdoor performance.
Thy Dang Jessi's English has been useful to me as well. Honestly, the one of the main reasons why UNPRETTY RAPSTAR became a huge success was because of Jessi. She's badass in a goodway and very honest! She's very talented and her vocals are no joke!!! Jessi and Cheetah are my favorite rappers along with CL 💖 Collaboration juseyo!!!!
for all you people agreeing with kisum, about the whole jessie speaking English thing should stop and think for minute... the origin of rap/hip hop is english, so these people who consider themselves rappers should read up on the history, and creators of rap, meaning they should have listened and understood some songs from the people who created it. maybe it's different because korea has people who are considered Korean rap legends, so the newer school feels like they don't have to listen to the original hip hop/rap legends.... but still
+LucklessObserver but it's also a result of her not being able to speak Korean well. Also, if you look at rap from other countries, the songs are in THEIR language. In order to be Korean hip hop, it should be able to stand on its own language. Korea has a weird thing with the pop songs - there is so much English in them.
+jellyjay There's no rule that it should be "Korean hip hop" though. Every K-Pop song has English in it and it's still Korean Pop. Besides Jessi being a native speaker, English is still spoken in almost every country, so your statement about "the songs are in THEIR language" is wrong. I'm from Germany and every rapper here has English words/lyrics in their songs as well.
I really think that it made Kisum uncomfortable that Jessi and Jidam did so well. She was probably feeling rather superior from the events in the previous episode... But this performance was a reminder to her that Jessi is a truly strong performer. The only thing she could criticize was the swearing, which ironically was an element in her own performance.
Haha cause Jidam seems to really look up to Jessi like a real unni right? She really respects her advice. It's really quite adorable. She's like this nice, young talented girl while Jessi is quite the contrast being all in your face and *cough* "gangster". You kind of worry how Jessi will influence Jidam hahah but I love how encouraging and approving Jessi is of Jidam. It's mutual.
i love this two together seriously better than jimin and kisum and theyr "cute" performance that didn't make sense (they rapped for 30 sec and the rest was "say jimin say kisum") and it's funny how kisumsay that jessi should rap in korea but she also used tons of english... at least with jessi I CAN understand while with kisum she doesn't make sense

cindy soldout first of all this's just a reality show but you're taking it too serious, and lastly it was a competition and the two girls were using their best advantage to win, no one ever said they couldn't do a certain type of stage features, stop judging.

crazymnky99 It's not unfair that Jimin and Kisum were announced 2nd place. It was a TEAMWORK competition and they worked well together compared to the other two teams (CheetahxJollyV and TymeexJace). Their rap was good and it wasn't 'too cute'-- I personally don't see how being 'too cute' is a problem so long as their rap is good. Though Cheetah is a great rapper (better than Jimin), she is better off alone and Jolly V isn't on the same level as Cheetah, therefore their performance wasn't as good/powerful. Tymee was really, really good in her performance but, once again, it was a TEAMWORK performance. Jace did terribly and that dragged them both down. Jimin and Kisum, however, had good chemistry and stage presence, they engaged with the audience and their rapping was better. That is why they got second place. In my personal opinion, Jessi was being a bitch in this episode. There is no problem with having your own opinion but there is a problem when you start acting like a bitch, and that's what Jessi was doing.
Maro Jun so she's being a bitch by calling out how the judges are being extremely biased to jimin? i agree their team work was great and the other teams lacked a bit but the judges said that they gave a fun performance. they never addressed their rapping. its ridiculous to me how jimin always gets praised for her stage presence. like yeah the girl knows how to work the stage but they never say anything about her rapping abilities. Overall my main issue is that the judges seem to think stage presence triumphs skill. Jessi also called out how it was unfair how tymee had to be eliminated, i know it was a team work competition but was it really fair that a great rapper like tymee got eliminated when she slayed her performance? No, she wasn't being a bitch for addressing the unfairness (I do happen to agree that the judges are bias towards Jimin), she was being a bitch because she's rude and nasty to Jimin every chance she gets. She could've addressed the unfairness without being a snarky-ass bully. Jessi doesn't need to remind Jimin that Jimin is an idol everyday whilst putting her down for it. Give the poor girl a break! Jimin works just as hard, if not harder, than Jessi and for Jessi to single her out and downright bully her just because of her fame is absolutely terrible. And what makes this worse is that Jessi is friends with Tiffany-- Tiffany from Girl's Generation-- Tiffany who is an IDOL! But, yeah, I do agree with people when they say that the judges are Jimin biased but that's not her fault! And I hate how people put her down because she's an idol. So freaking what? Jimin has talent, sure she's not as good as the others but people keep dismissing the fact that does have talent just because she's an idol. And as for Tymee, she is a great rapper and she does deserve to stay but she should've picked her team better. But, as she didn't really have a choice in that, she should've helped Jace with her rapping. It was a teamwork competition so Tymee should've helped Jace so they could both do better. And, yes, I know that Tymee wouldn't have been able to properly help Jace improve over night but she could've given her better tips and not tried to make Jace do something that so wasn't her. I know that Jimin's rapping style (her voice) isn't for everyone but the girl does have talent, she's extremely talented! Remember that she also has to practise her singing and dancing, she can't focus on just rap.

What people pointed out is that she did worse, and should have been eliminated instead of Tymee. Most rappers go solo with their music so it's really stupid to eliminate them just based on teamwork when rappers don't really need it! I don't think so, since the purpose of this show was to choose the best rapper not performer.
I'm the most hardcore AOA fan and totally Jimin biased but I gotta agree wjth Jessi... I don't think Kisum and Jimin should have come second... not saying I think they deserve to go home but I feel like the producers are a bit too nice to Jimin? vivian L I like Jessi and all as a person but the english diss is a pretty valid one. (Good) Rap is a lot about the lyrics and conveying a message. It's pretty useless when not only the opposing rapper can't understand you, in a diss battle especially but the audience as well. Even the judges have called her out on it. How can they react when they can't understand? I feel like the only reason why Jessi gets away with it is because she's so charismatic and she has musical flow. People feel her presence even with the language barrier. You give the same rap to anyone else they probably wouldn't come close to pulling it off.

I don't know Kisum is hating on Jessi for swearing when she swears just as much during her performance with Jimin. I also think it's low of her to hate on her for rapping in English. I wish everyone on the show would be a little bit more cool and admit when someone is good, like Jessi admitted that Kisum did well when she beat her for the last track. But during this episode, Jessi kept hating on Jimin and Kisum too even though personally, Jimin's voice annoys the hell out of me, their stage was a good example of teamwork.. The older ones feeling tension because the young ones have game and are stepping on their level. Ji min and Kisum have talent even though it may not seem like it and have better luck than some of the other competitors, especially Jimin because she's an idol rapper in the judges eyes. ***** I didn't watch ep.6 yet but if Jimin and Kisum perform well as a team and this is a team competition, how are you going to hate on someone because another team didn't perform as well as a whole... even if that one person on the other team did exceptionally well... This is a rap competition and you really should be worrying about yourself trying to do your best even when on the same team. Its a dirty game and you have to play your best cards to survive. Tymee is a strong rapper and is sad she got kicked, but when you weed out the strong and left with the weak its like game over. Anyways just my thoughts.
I don't think it's wrong to rap in English on unpretty rapstar as long as the lyrics and presentation are good. Plus hip hop came from America and was originally English. Jessi couldn't speak korean before and she learnt it anyway so I think it's possible for the other "rappers" to learn English too instead complaining about people rapping in English

for all you people agreeing with kisum, about the whole jessie speaking English thing should stop and think for minute... the origin of rap/hip hop is english, so these people who consider themselves rappers should read up on the history, and creators of rap, meaning they should have listened and understood some songs from the people who created it. maybe it's different because korea has people who are considered Korean rap legends, so the newer school feels like they don't have to listen to the original hip hop/rap legends.... but still

+jellyjay There's no rule that it should be "Korean hip hop" though. Every K-Pop song has English in it and it's still Korean Pop. Besides Jessi being a native speaker, English is still spoken in almost every country, so your statement about "the songs are in THEIR language" is wrong. I'm from Germany and every rapper here has English words/lyrics in their songs as well.

i really admire how Jessi is quick to call out the unfairness in this competition when jimin and kisses were announced 2nd place.
crazymnky99 It's not unfair that Jimin and Kisum were announced 2nd place. It was a TEAMWORK competition and they worked well together compared to the other two teams (CheetahxJollyV and TymeexJace). Their rap was good and it wasn't 'too cute'-- I personally don't see how being 'too cute' is a problem so long as their rap is good.
Though Cheetah is a great rapper (better than Jimin), she is better off alone and Jolly V isn't on the same level as Cheetah, therefore their performance wasn't as good/powerful. Tymee was really, really good in her performance but, once again, it was a TEAMWORK performance. Jace did terribly and that dragged them both down. Jimin and Kisum, however, had good chemistry and stage presence, they engaged with the audience and their rapping was better. That is why they got second place. In my personal opinion, Jessi was being a bitch in this episode. There is no problem with having your own opinion but there is a problem when you start acting like a bitch, and that's what Jessi was doing.

No, she wasn't being a bitch for addressing the unfairness (I do happen to agree that the judges are bias towards Jimin), she was being a bitch because she's rude and nasty to Jimin every chance she gets. She could've addressed the unfairness without being a snarky-ass bully. Jessi doesn't need to remind Jimin that Jimin is an idol everyday whilst putting her down for it. Give the poor girl a break! Jimin works just as hard, if not harder, than Jessi and for Jessi to single her out and downright bully her just because of her fame is absolutely terrible. And what makes this worse is that Jessi is friends with Tiffany-- Tiffany from Girl's Generation-- Tiffany who is an IDOL!
But, yeah, I do agree with people when they say that the judges are Jimin biased but that's not her fault! And I hate how people put her down because she's an idol. So freaking what? Jimin has talent, sure she's not as good as the others but people keep dismissing the fact that does have talent just because she's an idol.
And as for Tymee, she is a great rapper and she does deserve to stay but she should've picked her team better. But, as she didn't really have a choice in that, she should've helped Jace with her rapping. It was a teamwork competition so Tymee should've helped Jace so they could both do better. And, yes, I know that Tymee wouldn't have been able to properly help Jace improve over night but she could've given her better tips and not tried to make Jace do something that so wasn't her.
I know that Jimin's rapping style (her voice) isn't for everyone but the girl does have talent, she's extremely talented! Remember that she also has to practise her singing and dancing, she can't focus on just rap.

Most rappers go solo with their music so it's really stupid to eliminate them just based on teamwork when rappers don't really need it! It's pretty useless when not only the opposing rapper can't understand you, in a diss battle especially but the audience as well. Even the judges have called her out on it. I feel like the only reason why Jessi gets away with it is because she's so charismatic and she has musical flow. People feel her presence even with the language barrier. You give the same rap to anyone else they probably wouldn't come close to pulling it off.

Why I found jessi so lovable is that she took care of people around her. And she was always 100% honest and fair. And in this case, she let yuk jidam go first like letting her child shine first.

I don't know Kisum is hating on Jessi for swearing when she swears just as much during her performance with Jimin. I also think it's low of her to hate on her for rapping in English. I wish everyone on the show would be a little bit more cool and admit when someone is good, like Jessi admitted that Kisum did well when she beat her for the last track. But during this episode, Jessi kept hating on Jimin and Kisum too even though personally, Jimin's voice annoys the hell out of me, their stage was a good example of teamwork.. AUGH STOP ALL THIS HATING GUYS ;_;
The older ones feeling tension because the young ones have game and are stepping on their level. Ji min and Kisum have talent even though it may not seem like it and have better luck than some of the other competitors, especially Jimin because she's an idol rapper in the judges eyes. I haven't watched the full ep. yet so I may not know what I'm really talking about.
I agree about how the other girls all they can talk about is Jessi rapping in English. Like excuse you girl, You're the one who can't even say "CLAP" right hahaha

***** I didn't watch ep.6 yet but if Jimin and Kisum perform well as a team and this is a team competition, how are you going to hate on someone because another team didn't perform as well as a whole... even if that one person on the other team did exceptionally well... This is a rap competition and you really should be worrying about yourself trying to do your best even when on the same team. Its a dirty game and you have to play your best cards to survive. Tymee is a strong rapper and is sad she got kicked, but when you weed out the strong and left with the weak its like game over. Anyways just my thoughts.

I don't think it's wrong to rap in English on unpretty rapstar as long as the lyrics and presentation are good. Plus hip hop came from America and was originally English.
Jessi couldn't speak korean before and she learnt it anyway so I think it's possible for the other "rappers" to learn English too instead complaining about people rapping in English
