Cut it down to the gravel you have a ice rink for a road

It's an asphalt paved road so that's as low as she goes it's just a thin layer of snow floor

Where's the wing and why are you straight blading so much ?

We don't own a wing if we're going to bench just unlock the pin and swing it over and I'm squared up because it's a 24-foot Road so I can have it finished down and back rather than having to go round and round

The next question is .Why is he going so slow ? To properly move snow you need some speed

You want to go slow plowing. It can cause a lot of damage to machinery and unnecessary damage to mailboxes and parked vehicles if you are going too fast. Plus the higher the speed, the more likely that the blade will just ride over and pack the snow instead of actually scraping it.

@@davidgrant8994 . You are correct , I did not say excessive speed. I am not a novice, enough speed should be maintained, if possible to roll the snow! I have been both the wing & plow operator in one of the county plows , & the grader operator rolling back the snow Banks with a 12’ wing & also equipped with a 4’high full width of the machine, Bull Blade punching out snow plow turn arounds, that got backed up with packed snow 4&1/2’ high, to the point of not enough room left, & then also then expanding & creating parking lots at Christmas for people to park going through 3’high snow bank & back into virgin snow 30” deep for 100’ making a parking lot of 50x100 ! Yes I have also had to re-secure a couple mailboxes that the snow blew off the post, but the fix for that is push the bank back before the box so the amount of rolling snow is minimal . All of this in rural Canada where we averaged 10’ of snow fall ; when the fresh snow fall reached 3/4” we started rolling & stopped when the snow stopped ! The longest I worked NON STOP was 37&1/2 hrs
I was also road maintenance , on both the black top, patching holes & grading the gravel ones, this taught me where the rocks & stumps were . A knowledge of the road & its dangers is an absolute must

@Robert Mintz I plowed for 2 years. I definitely wouldn't say I'm an expert but we are only supposed to go like 22 mph here. We can go a little faster at times depending on location and route and all that but I look at it as if I go slower now and do it right now, I won't have to make numerous trips to fix what I could have done in 1 trip.

@@davidgrant8994. Yes I would love to go snow plowing again !

@Robert Mintz I enjoyed it at times. Other times, I wanted to pull the parking brake and walk away. At times it was fun. Other times it was downright scary. Like everything though, management had to go ruin it and take the fun away and now around here they are wicked shirt handed because nobody wants to make barely above minimum wage and have all the responsibilities that come with it when they can make the same amount of money flipping burgers at McDonalds
