🌸Pujya Swami Chinmayananda Ji🌸
Hailed as the second Swami Vivekananda, Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda (1916-1993) is an orator, writer and leader par excellence, a patriot and spiritual giant, one of the finest representatives of Indian spiritual heritage who spearheaded a global Hindu spiritual and cultural renaissance that popularised the religion's esoteric scriptural texts, teaching them in English all across India and abroad.
He worked tirelessly with tremendous energy for more than four decades to spread the message of Vedanta, leaving behind a great legacy for man. He has authored 95 publications, including commentaries on the major Upanishads and Bhagavad Gita. He was a visiting professor of Indian philosophy at several American and Asian universities and he conducted university lecture tours in many countries.
The sprawling worldwide, spiritual, educational, and charitable organization of Chinmaya Mission that encompasses more than 300 centres in India and internationally, carries on the bright torch lit by this great saint.

V.12 contd: Every individual has varying proportions of the 3 mental moods forming the human personality. Whenever thoughts, arise, we get conditioned by them, creating sorrow, instead of staying detached, while He is unaffected by them "They are in Me, I am not in them." The lower is in me, but the Higher is not affected by them. Anger rises in me, but I am not anger. Stand apart and watch! By practising this, one master the mind. Thoughts are nothing but disturbances arising in Me alone, but I am not them. Relationless relationship between Higher (Reality/Infiinite God/Pure Self/Cause) and Lower (Unreal/finite jiva/jagat/Realm of matter/Effect). To abide in this attitude of Consciousness is the highest Meditation. Such an individual will never lose his balance in any temptation/situation. 🕉shree Chinmaya sadgurave namaha🙏🏾

Sanskrit word meanings from Gurudev's Talk - 15th and 16th May 2021 (yesterda’s and today’s)
Verse 11:
धर्माविरुद्धो भूतेषु (dharmāviruddho bhūteṣu ) = a desire that is not contrary to righteousness
कामोऽस्मि (kāmo’smi) = I am that desire / kama
भरतर्षभ (bharatarṣabha ) = O best amongst the Bharatas
Verse 12:
ये चैव सात्त्विका भावा राजसास्तामसाश्च ये।
मत्त एवेति तान्विद्धि न त्वहं तेषु ते मयि
ye caiva sāttvikā bhāvā rājasāstāmasāśca ye,
matta eveti tānviddhi na tvahaṁ teṣu te mayi
Translation: Whatever beings (and objects) that are pure, active and inert, know them to proceed from Me; yet, I am not in them, they are in Me.
Sanskrit words:
ये (ye) - whatever beings (and objects)
च (cha) - and
एव (eva) = only
सात्त्विक (sāttvikā) = pure
भाव (bhāvā) = nature
राजस (rājasās) = active
तमस (tāmasāś) = inert
मत्त एवेति (matta eveti) - They are all rising from me alone
तान्विद्धि (tān viddhi) = you understand
न तु अहं तेषु (na tu ahaṁ teṣu) = I am not in them
