IMO, start off with premiere then try learning After Effects I felt the same as you 6 ish months ago now I'm fluent in Vegas, Premiere, After Effects, and Cinema4D. Justin has more than enough to get you started. Once you learn the basics you can learn a lot from there on your own.

hey justin quick question. how do you work around the masks when you want to add camera movement or any movement then ends up being interfered with by the masks? is there any wayor is this supposed to function only as a stagnate effect

Hello! It may be a dumb question but I cant find the "trackmat" section, and the drop down menu where you chose the alpha matt ! It doesn't appear on my layers, can someone help ?
render in sequences, use a patch that will enable mpre than one thread of your cpu and look your cpu usage go up to 100%.. Youy will gain the 1/4 of the total time of your simple render
If you're missing the Track Matte column like I was, hit F4 to un-hide it.

You can do this in Premiere Pro. It looks easier there as well because you don't need to mess with track matte.

On the botton left you have to click on "toggle switches / modes" then the option appear.
