sorry to be so offtopic but does any of you know a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I somehow forgot my account password. I love any help you can offer me!
hi sir i am waqar from kashmir i am 2022 b tech passout and currently learning staad pro Sir your videos cleared all my doubts about siesmic analysis sir you are doing a great job god bless you
Thank you for the excellent tutorial... I do have a doubt... @16:36 on the video you have selected the seismic load factor as 1.... Can we tinker with that value to compensate for the importance factor ? If I wanted an importance factor greater than 1.5, could I increase the seismic load factor ? Or am I interpreting the whole seismic load factor wrong ? Would be really grateful to hear back from you on this...
There are 2 things to understand here. First, since this was an example I have not considered any DL, LL etc. and hence I have not taken the effect of load combinations which uses the factors of 1.5, 1.2 etc for different combinations as per Engineering Codes. Second, the seismic load factor should invariably be kept at 1 during load creation. The factors of 1.5 etc. should be placed only when your are going for load combinations. And as I said, this is just and example and that is why I only talked about Seismic Loads and not the load combination effects. As for giving the Importance Factor greater than 1.5 there won't ever be a need. The IS Code is clear about providing the values of 1, 1.2. 1.5 for different types of buildings and hence you will never need to go above 1.5. I hope I have answered the questions to your satisfaction.
@@CivilBlackBox Thanks for the reply... I really appreciate your efforts.... Sorry for the delay in my response...was caught up in family functions etc.
Sir can you please explain about wind load also. Most of the people blindly assign wind loads without even using IS 875 Part 3 and don't even know its significance. Hence it would be very useful for students as well as professionals if you could do a video on wind load too sir. Thanks and great video as usual.
thanks for this video your the way you teach is great . if possible can you please upload full complete video on residential building with complete report
I haven't created videos on WL, DL and LL on this channel. They are however available on the premium version of the course. contact me at kushal@civilblackbox.com if you are interested
@@CivilBlackBox I would appreciate if you could post a session on comparision between member load and physical member load in staad pro, and their significance.
Member load is for simple beams. Once you dwell into the options of physical member creation you will have to create physical member loads. I talk about it in very much detail in my Online Course www.civilblackbox.com/structural-consultancy-blackbox
This is very good video for us .and correlated manual calculations step by step with staadpro is super to provide understanding the problem in real practicing engineer. Further we hope you make one video how to apply joint weight in earthquake irregular building shape either static or Response spectrum method. Thanks Er.vivekanand Mehta
Bro I don't know how to thnk you, please can you make full multistory building with all the workflow sequence. Like complete staadpro analysing and designing with seismic and wind also
Sir you are a genius. This is a wonderful and best video on staafpro. I have some confusion that this analysis is done only for seismic load. But how to add static load also with this seismic load? Please make a video.
Hi sir, What is the difference between Node displacement and Max relative displacement in Staad pro. Can we follow deflection limit in node displacement or max relating displacement .
Excellent Video as per norm Dr. Shravan! Do kindly at your earliest, execute a Video wherein you INPUT the ACTUAL Forces (F_x or Nodal) into STAAD Pro for the Analysis of the Structure.
Sir could you please make a video on how to install staad pro v8i ss6 installation process when I turn off my internet and anti virus during installation
Of course you will have to assess all the dead loads, live loads, wind loads and earthquake loads. This was just an example and hence I skipped over them.
I really like and appreciate your explanation. Please make another video for G+5 building design with Staadpro incorporating with Seismic and Wind Load cases as well.
You should consider X and Z direction as the EQ waves are most prominent in these directions. However, you should also consider -X and -Z direction especially if your structure in unsymmetric.
Sir you have added only the floor load in seismic definitions. why self weight is not added? how to add wall load to the seismic definitions? Shall we use reference load definitions for this ?
This was just an example load. A combined value was used to make the manual calculations easy. You should ideally be taking all the necessary loads on the structure.
Sir Also if you could make a complete video of complete analysis of g+5 structure, it would be awesome. Waiting very eagerly for the same. Share with many of my friends.
If one wants to design a structure that can withstand the highest potential earthquake loads for heritage buildings. So how can we achieve it using Staad Pro?
If you are talking about this particular video, the member weights have been presumed to be taken care of in the Dead Load provided in the example. In a real case scenario you will have to include Member weights separately along with all types of Dead Loads, Live Loads etc. This was just an example and hence the values have been assumed.
I will try soon. You must join our FB group and conduct a survey there. If more students are interested I will definitely consider ETABS too. facebook.com/groups/staadbeginnner/
Please Explain how to calcualate 1) Torsional irregularity 2) maas irregularity 3) Maas contribution (X and Y transational direction) 4) Story stiffness 5) Story drift by using STAAD software
Sir As per observation, I didn't see you have provided the value of time period in staad px & pz .but In out put it is showing. Is it required to give or not in staad?

Sir can you provide Design Basis report for any residential building as per Indian code ? Actually I need this for my college project
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it😊
hi can u post videos related to wind analysis as you have done for seismic loads
Whether I have to take self load also into consideration when I am done it for a actual structure
Of course you will have to assess all the dead loads, live loads, wind loads and earthquake loads. This was just an example and hence I skipped over them.
Good one...

Very helpful
Thanks.
I really like and appreciate your explanation. Please make another video for G+5 building design with Staadpro incorporating with Seismic and Wind Load cases as well.
Thank You. Will try!
Nicely explained Sir. Kindly upload seismic analysis by etabs also. Thanks a lot .
Thank you for your kind words. Will upload soon.
Could you please explain how to use the results of this analysis for the seismic design of the structure? Love your channel, keep it up!
Thank you for your appreciation. In this example you could simply use the additional stresses generated due to seismic loads to design your structure.
Sir, Video is useful, but why we have not applied self weight of the structure under dead load in defining the load and Load case
Kindly make a complete video on seismic design of building
sir earthquake load x or y direction ke liye bas calculate hota hai ? or aapne 4direction show ki x y - x - y ?
You should consider X and Z direction as the EQ waves are most prominent in these directions. However, you should also consider -X and -Z direction especially if your structure in unsymmetric.
brother what about the warnings u got in analysis
Upload video on dynamic analysis.
I will do that soon.
Sir you have added only the floor load in seismic definitions. why self weight is not added? how to add wall load to the seismic definitions? Shall we use reference load definitions for this ?
Please teach dynamic analysis also on staad.
Thank you sir ,, did you complete calculation mean caclulate selfweight , dead & live load with load combination overall loads include secimic load 💖💖
This was just an example load. A combined value was used to make the manual calculations easy. You should ideally be taking all the necessary loads on the structure.
Great tutorials sir..Take one G+3 story and make a design in Staad sir
As soon as possible
Sir pz make a complete vdo for each loads
As soon as possible
❤️thankyou sir
You are most welcome.
Do you have a video on dynamic analysis as well, can't find in the channel.
You can find the everything about Dynamic Analysis and other structural analysis concepts & entire course here at : www.civilblackbox.com/sca

If one wants to design a structure that can withstand the highest potential earthquake loads for heritage buildings. So how can we achieve it using Staad Pro?
hello sir , i done seismic analysis in school building and i got more load distributed in ends of building , what the reason? pls reply it
Please upload video on wind load and design of structure.
Can you please explain about the Member Weights
If you are talking about this particular video, the member weights have been presumed to be taken care of in the Dead Load provided in the example. In a real case scenario you will have to include Member weights separately along with all types of Dead Loads, Live Loads etc. This was just an example and hence the values have been assumed.
Please make same kind of video on Linear Dynamic Analysis..
Hello sir can you make videos on Etabs software also please it will helpful for students
I will try soon. You must join our FB group and conduct a survey there. If more students are interested I will definitely consider ETABS too. facebook.com/groups/staadbeginnner/
Sir wind load pe bhi video banaye🙏
Surely
Sir pls explain load combination in staad pro....
Sure. Soon.
Thank you sir great videos 👍
Can you make the same for wind load it will be helpful 😊
Thank you so much. I am working on that video too. Meanwhile please help out the channel by sharing it with your friends on social media. 🙂
sir plz make video on seismic analysis of water tank
Perfect
Thanks
pls upload the dynamic analysis method in staad pro with manual calculation.
Will try
Sir may I know why I am getting as creation failed while I am trying to generate after selecting the type in seismic parameters
Please Explain how to calcualate 1) Torsional irregularity 2) maas irregularity 3) Maas contribution (X and Y transational direction) 4) Story stiffness 5) Story drift by using STAAD software
I will keep that in mind for future videos.
Plz make a tutorial on wind load also, on staadpro
for SL-X wll the factor be -1?
Do make Vedio on perform analysis pdelta and also on dynamic analysis
Surely in the future.
Wow el video esta fabuloso, como puedo obtener el peso de cada entrepiso (Wi) en Staad??? Gracias
Thanks!
Is their any problem with using that comand in seismic Defn
This was just an example. In the real project you will ofcourse use the Self Weights as well. The entire process remains the same.
Sir As per observation, I didn't see you have provided the value of time period in staad px & pz .but In out put it is showing. Is it required to give or not in staad?
STAAD will calculate the values of Time Period automatically depending upon the other inputs that you will provide.
