For lots of boys in the 70s into the early 80s this was the ultimate toy. Many of our grandfather's were in WW2. For me this provided a visible link to them. I remember being at a school summer fate around 1985/86. At this fate was a stall selling deadstock Action Man toys. It was cheaper than what their original rrp of 3/5 years before. I was 13/14 and not too old to play. collecting wasn't really a Bobbie back then. I remember feeling sad. As I had the money to purchase quite a bit. In my ear was my late mother telling me I was too old for Action Man. I can still see the German Soldiers weapons pack and it was £0.50p. Why did we have to grow up. Keep up the vids.
Got my first Action Man when I was 6-7ish 1982-3. They were so expensive in New Zealand that it was an outfit set for a birthday and rarely Christmas.. I’m blown away at the range Action Man sets that we never saw here.. My 8 year old self is currently very envious.. Thank you for what you do with this channel and the passion that have and show.
I always take a peek at Actionmanhq.co.uk for information i need to complete a uniform and is always a help when i "review" Action Man uniforms & vehicles for youtube videos, although there are many pieces still missing from the library which is a bit of a pain but its a free resource so i can't complain. Great video for new and old collectors Tony.
Wow, what amazing timing. I've been a star wars collector for a while but have started looking at action man recently as it was the other toy I grew up with. Had no idea where to start but do now :-)
Great video as always, Mr. Tony! My knowledge of Action Man is limited to it being the British variant of Hasbro's G. I. Joe A Real American Hero line, so this is most appreaciated. Lol! That bookburning scene from 1989's Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade was just apropros. Farenheit 451 would also have worked. 😁
Wow. I've been doing well, I believe I have about 75 % of all these books haha. Didn't know these were all the go to ones. I see you also have the french joe one, so that would mean just mine is in french. Damn, no I have to search for the english version haha ;)

Just having those books alone is priceless 😲 Great video Tony 👍🏽
Great video, and the Action man cop on the bike looks like he shit himself. Priceless.

All these film are great information for new collectors keep up the great work
Wow, if you remember my reaction to your Lone Ranger video, you should be able to easily guess just how cool that Zorro figure strikes me as being.
Jay Grinder Zorro is one of my favourite, rare Action Man figures!
Great content once again!
Very Nice! I didn't realize all the vehicle options there were for the UK!
Very informative Tony I'd love one of each please :-)
Excellent as ever. Well done. 😊

Good video.
Tony there is another book called " Action Man On Land Sea and Air" by NG Taylor. Have you heard of it?
Gary's Action Man Channel yes but I’m not a fan of that book.
@@AnalogToys what's the problem with it inaccurate?
