    This video is amazing because it clearly describes your daily life in the college, including the places you go, the transportations such as underground, an so on. Thanks for sharing very much!
    As I am a Chinese senior high student, exploring the daily life in university/college is crucial as it will be used in the future.

    Starting here as a med student this year and got loads of questions for you please. 1) How do I select my accommodation in a way that guarantees that I end up in the Wilson Hall of residence, because I believe this one has the best price to distance ratio. 2) Which other halls have a good price/distance ratio. 3) What pre-reading should I do to give me an advantage when I start the med course. 4) How do you revise as a med student, using anki, spreadsheets, active recall and digital note taking. And lastly 5) Did you learn these techniques as you progressed along the course (i.e did you pick these up in year 1,2 or 3) or before you started uni?. Sorry for bombarding you with so much

    • @simranhalari
      @simranhalari  4 года назад +2

      Hey, Congratulations!! I was at Wilson - literally can't recommend it enough.
      1) So there's quite a few options that you can select at Wilson for example the sharing option, single ensuite, single shared bathroom etc. So that will maximise your chance of getting Wilson.
      2) Beit is also a really good option, it's super close maybe a bit more expensive but the sharing option is cheaper.
      3) In terms of pre-reading I personally didn't do anything and everything you need to know will be in the course. However, I would recommend getting the Netters Flash Cards - they would be useful to flick over.
      4/5) When I started uni I had no idea how to study personally it was a huge change from school for me. I've learnt a lot throughout the year but each method works differently for everyone. I currently use go through notes (usually made by individuals in the year above) and then annotate them to help my understanding then make anki flashcards :)
      I hope this helps!! You're gonna have a great time really enjoy it 😊😊

    • @simranhalari
      @simranhalari  4 года назад +3

      Congratulations!! See you around imperial soon 😁 The course has changed quite a bit since I started as you can imagine. Plus the teaching is so that everything you need to know/will be tested is in the lecture or tutorials. However, that being said for anatomy I’d highly recommend the netters flash cards. They really helped me to learn some anatomy - I hope that helps ☺️☺️

      My top 3 tips would be:
      1. Have some work experience that you can speak about in your interview and personal statement
      2. Ensure that you prepare for the BMAT - imperial have a cut off so you wanna try an make sure you kinda meet that cut off
      3. With the interview - be yourself! Show them how amazing you are and how passionate you are about studying Med especially at imperial. So look up societies you’d like to join and what kind events they run!
