In reality, we'd be either ripped apart by Jupiter's massive gravity, or in a couple of months, we'd be past Pluto and the history of civilization will be buried forever.
Jupiter's gravity, though strong, is not as strong as the Sun. Sure, it might distort our orbit, but the Sun will still bring us back. It'd take a small star to yeet us out.
Siren plays while a song's playing: "Awesome dude, I never heard this version bro, it sounds sick!" Song stops and is interrupted by the EAS: "Oh wait..."
"What do we do next?" I have the answer. Building thousands of rocket turrets to defend the planet from asteroids, since Jupiter can't defend us anymore
interesting scenario, but anything powerful enough to cause jupiter to change drastic course and speed would be our immediate threat, jupiter would of been the least.
Something which could do that would be a rogue dwarf star. See the short story "The Star" by H.G. Wells to get an idea of it though Jupiter doesn't play much of a role there.
It's amazing, so many EAS scenarios will hit multiple major cities...and Anoka, MN, for some reason. Not Minneapolis, or St. Paul, but poor Anoka, lol.
I wouldn't say 19:17 is inevitable in San Francisco. Tsunamis happen all the time there and it's kinda constant, genuinely constant. Plus, I absolutely love the siren at the start of the EAS for the tsunami in 19:35 and further! Great and realistic scenario. I'm a big fan lmao :D
yeah, that was my issue too. if Jupiter would be able to get to us in a couple of days - it would end up orbiting the sun as hot Jupiter but rather leave the solarsystem (should it avoid crashing into the sun that is) jupiter to pass this close would take years (if not more) the Jupiter would carry on orbiting the sun but on a spiral path - it could very well mess up Mars’s Earth’s and Venus’s orbit - either eject it from its current orbit, or send it spiraling towards the sun… or gather it as moons… but this straight passing by earth in a few days is most likely caused by something huge - which either messes up everything else or Jupiter would be frankly out of here forever :)
@@mityaboy4639 was thinking that too, also thought that how didn't Jupiter destabilize the earth orbit or how did Jupiter not take earth as its own moon
@@mityaboy4639 also if it were to pass the orbits of other planets, it would have sent mars crashing into earth, into Jupiter, into the sun, or have taken mars as its own moon, like earth and venus
Extreme Cloud Warning For Lumberton, NC Today Until March 6 At 9:30am, Above 40 Clouds And Capability Of High Winds Of 200 MPH, Stay Inside For 45 Minutes To 1 Hour
It’s more realistic than most of the EAS scenarios but yeah it’s not completely realistic, it would take a lot of effort to make a scientifically and government response accurate EAS that is 50 minutes long. It was still a cool EAS though.
I was thinking about this very thing as I watched it lol there’s no way all of these things would be happening simultaneously Massive tidal waves? For sure. Extreme temperature fluctuations? Probably, but more so because of a shift in our orbit around the sun. Higher winds? Yeah. Increased magnetic interference? 100%, AND it would mean EAS wouldn’t even work. Earthquakes from the crust flexing? I don’t doubt it. But likely only along existing fault lines. The rest? Thunderstorms? Very unlikely if winds of 100+ mph are present in general. This would be a fun simulation to make in universe sandbox though LOL
*Jupiter:* “I’m going to visit the Sun, you guys suck.” *Mars:* “What the hell? No! Saturn, stop him!” *Saturn:* "Well, you heard the man! I can't stop him. _Adios!"_
Couple questions tho. If jupiter broke oribit towards the sun. Would this not mean that its going to breach into the sun? Also due to jupiter leaving its orbit. thats going to affect basically all other orbits in the system. In fact because is came so close to earth its likely earth would have been flung out of the solar system. But even if not, we likely would have ended up outside the habitable zone. Also our star might have had a catastrophe after jupiter enters it. Just various thoughts about a situation like this.
Having been lifelong astronomy/space fan, yrs, if Jupiter began falling inward towards the Sun, it would almost certainly be swallowed by our parent star.
Even if all hell breaks loose, one thing's for sure; when the world is left as nothing but a barren wasteland, the Swiss will re-emerge from their millions of bunkers, stronger than ever before, and with a ton of gold and chocolate. For Switzerland is the indestructible nation.

Interesting scenario - but could be more realistic with the so-called 'Nemesis Star' hypothesis; a hypothetical brown dwarf star beyond the Oort Cloud which in theory enters our solar system periodically, and could explain the cycles of mass extinctions that occur every 26 million years or so - but leave the Earth essentially intact. If Jupiter were visible in the daylight, and the size of a thumbnail of an outstretched arm - all life on earth would be long gone by then, as Earth would have already left it's orbit and pulled towards Jupiter - who's mass is 2.5X larger then all the other planets combined. Earth's atmosphere would be gone as well, it's gravity affected with it's rotation disrupted. Jupiter leaving it's orbit would also have major effects on the Sun and all the other planets and their moons - including our own. Also possible is that with energy from the Sun, Jupiter's core could begin a fusion reaction and become a star itself. There could never be a Jupiter flyby of Earth and have any living thing left alive to witness it. But 'A' for effort.
