- This video explains the the Microbial Carbon Pump project which will conduct laboratory experiments to provide the physiological information and understanding needed to develop the first ever model describing the microbial carbon pump (MCP) and its relationship with nutrient concentrations and temperature.
This will be the first critical step towards the simulation of the MCP in present and future oceans. To achieve this ambitious goal, the project will bring together a multidisciplinary team of internationally recognised scientists, from chemical analysts to system biology and ecosystem modellers.

Thank you for this wonderful video! I gained a brain cell from this.
finally i found a comprehensible explanation of MCP! XD thanks
Great video, loved the explanation! :)
What does POC stand for?
particulate organic carbon (poc)
particulate organic carbon
Plz guys can u help me explain how techniques in marine microbiology can be applied to the isolation of marine bioactive compounds, biomaterial production, production of pharmaceuticals, industrial processes, food production and bioremediation
