- Here's how you can make three of my favourite transitions, each of which are explained in depth and step by step, enjoy!
Both the colouring and overlays that I used for the alternate versions of the examples are available on my payhip store payhip.com/starknstrange
This tutorial is generally geared towards editors who already have some knowledge of after effects, so please be aware that I will tend to speed through the more basic functions of the program as I explain what I'm doing.

Sorry about the background noise! For some reason I thought filming in the middle of the day next to a window (even though it was closed) was a good idea but unfortunately the cicadas had other plans and I didn't realise how loud they would be in the audio recording until I was already at the editing stage. I hope you guys don't mind too much but hopefully it'll be better next time!

this is very helpful tysm
btw for the cube to have the anchor point in the middle you can just select the null layer, press "a" on your keyboard, then on the last digits make that 540 (while the rest of the clips are already attached to the null layer) and then go to position and also make the last digit 540 (should be it im explaining from memory rn so im not sure but it should work). it works in every composition doesnt matter if its landscape or square. just wanted to let u know since eyeballing it seems a bit annoying :)

One thing I noticed when you go above 500 or so with output width and height is that AE crashes so i've found adjust the tile width and height instead gets the same result but without as many craashes.

SOS: Every time I try the 3D cube, after pairing the clips to the null layer, and going back to the active camera my clips are super zoomed in. I’m having a hard time finding any help with this. Do you know what I’m doing wrong?
whenever i make the 3d rectangle flip with x rotation it zooms and it rotate in a very bad and odd way and in the z rotation process my z and all the rotation thingys that we have to move dont look like yours and dont change like yours pls help

when I make the 3d cube and go back to the active camera, a zoom is made, why does that happen?

Hii im a newbie in editing and I recently decided to try after effects but found that cutting clips is quite difficult? Im not talking abt the cut where you use shift+cntrl+D , but where you preview the clip and cut it. It keeps looping for me :( is there any tips to prevent that from happening? :)
you can do 'ctrl + arrow key' to go forwards and backwards and be on the exact frame if that's what your looking for!! (:

Sorry. But, how do u copy effect like that? 2:13 and 4:30 And how do u do that? 7:00
To copy paste an effect, you should select it first or select the key frames then press ctrl + c then select the layer you want to paste the effects in and press ctrl + v. To move the anchor point in 7:00, you gotta first click Y and then move the small dot to the middle of the mask
