If he recorded acapella of every track in a game, or individual samples that represented instruments, it'd be a simple matter of substituting those samples for the game's music tracks or soundfont, respectively! Depending on whether the game uses MP3 music tracks or MIDI with a soundfont.
Ex-Casual well yeah, I know it needs to be decoded. I've messed around with some GBA games who use MIDI. Ripping the audio yielded a folder of MIDIs and a .sf2 file with the instruments compressed inside it. Pretty cool to learn about.

Two years ago I was in bed trying to find a good version of this song. After listening to awful remix after awful remix, I was about to give up, when I saw this smooth acapella version, and thought, well it'll suck too but it can't be any worse than what I already heard. Then came the song. The first few seconds were promising, then came the amazing beat, and by 10 seconds I was no longer in bed, but was dancing about thrashing my arms as I drummed along with the song. I still feel that same surge of energy even today! Smooth is a modern day power plant! What a man, what a song!

What makes Final Fantasy music so great is it's variety. Calm ballads, epic battle music, vocals, heavy metal. Tactics or type-0 has very different soundtrack to the rest of the series but works really well. Even games that suck, like 13 or mystic quest has kickass songs

+dieentdeckung One Winged Angel is a grandiose theme, but it's also one song at maybe 4 minutes to a loop. Dancing Mad is 16 minutes with each of the 4 distinct sections looped once.
+papershadow69 all of the remixs that Square has put out of DM have been 12 minutes long, and that's with the first part looping. I can say it's possible to shorten it down to 10 minutes
A lot of the plot elements of FFVI are Star Wars related, the Gestahlian Empire is VERY similar to the Galactic Empire, and the Returners are VERY similar to the Rebels.
FFVI has some of the best music in the series! Absolutely had to like this, especially since I'm doing a Natural Magic run of FFVI on my channel, at the moment. Keep it up, you amazing bastard!

Any curative items or spells damages the undead in FFVI. Bosses are included at least in the SNES version.
