I installed the one with the lid to protect my snow brush. Because of the lid, the jack is difficult to deal with (you can't easily get you hands on it to turn the handle to put in place). Also, be aware that you do lose a great bit of flat floor area back there once it is in-place - a duh moment. But . . . I can keep my snow brush out of sight and secure.
Awesome vid, I have a 21 Silverado LTZ. Quick question, ever thought about upgrading your review mirror? Would love to see how you would attack this. I’ve already seen some vids online, I’m not comfortable ATM to try this mod..
Well make sure your subscribed! The next part review from RealTruck will be a good solution for the both of us. (pause the video @15:12 and you will see what I snuck in there. My dad said the same thing a year ago about my brush. I couldn't find another one, so I bought him this one instead. Now I'm jealous of his because the brush can fold and stow away better: amzn.to/32Kg5Ee
Does this brand have a split opening model. Yeah...the car seat thing is going to a problem for me for awhile. Good problem to have. Lol. I'd really like to go with a lockable version as opposed to the non lid model.
I have 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 custom crew cab if I purchase the du-ha without lid does it come pretty close to bottom of seat I don’t like a big gap there lol ?
@@billybrewer1342 maybe by the gap between the lid and the seat. But their isn’t much of a gap to speak of. Need for added security should be your deciding factor.
Not sure, just look at my video really close to see where it rests under my seat, and make sure those floor liners don’t have any tall bump sections or something to throw off how it sits. Or just be prepared to do some cutting of the floor liner.

That will work great for my needs. They should make a slide out version so the seat won't have to be lifted.
That’s what’s coming actually! I teased it for one frame in the video lol. Dee-Zee is developing it.
Cool video! I don’t think I’ll need a snow scraper in AZ! Cool product.
Can you please make a video on how to tighten to column shifter?!?

Thought about one for a while but I'm in the same boat with car seats. On a side note, what brand is the snow brush? It looks really nice!

@@twinglock40z not to my knowledge. Just the two styles.

Quick question for you... those mounting bolts... could you thread them out if you wanted to delete that tray for dogs?
I wish it would work with the lasfit floor mats I had just purchased.
I bet you'd be able to cut off the lip and they would work. I used a tin snips to make factory floor mats work with the factory storage solution.
So do you lose room if you go with the one with the lid?

You need some cleaning supplies to quick detail the boss 😉
Great video! Thanks for sharing.
Two sets of keys are not a bad idea since keys are like 10 mm sockets always disappear somehow 😂
Did you have to cut factory mat back
also, say you installed the covered unit... think it's strong enough for dogs to sit on top of it? If you fill in the leg space?
I think you’d be just fine. That piano style hinge is very strong.
Will this fit it I have weathertech floor liners
