Coachella sounds like everything I want to to avoid in life
Yeah I feel like you must be in a cult to think that's any kind of fun
I swear. I remember it used to sound soooo cool a few years ago. Now it’s a huge waste of money and so lame
Been going for 20 years. Weekend 2 now is what’s up. Ian should have done his research. Don’t just bring a tent, get canopy to cover it, and tie that shit down well.
@@magicology yeah car camping is the shit! You just have to do it correctly. I’ve never slept in my car. Also, the bathrooms in the camp grounds are meh, but you can pay $10 for a pretty nice shower experience.
@@magicology just curious whats the hype about? Whats it like?
Ian is the best. Your whole show should be sending him places and have him report back.
He’s my favorite lol
agreed
He’s my favourite too and doesn’t get enough airtime
Say it louder!!
I need Ian to be featured more! His segments are always so good, and his sense of humor is irreverent.
Ian really is the hidden gem of this show. Edit: he needs more airtime
I'm not sure. He is definitely a gem, but part of his thing is that he is just quiet most of the time, and then every now and then shows up with an absolutely hilarious story or anecdote. Let him cook! lmao
Y’all didn’t buy Ian a tent and gear for this? 😭
💀😂
Fr Lmaoo
Just send him out there with nothing to fend for himself 😂
honestly it's a better story line when they fend for themselves
Like man this shit a tax write off for you smh fucked up tbh lol
I remember when Coachella actually used to be a fun event about alternative music and not just an over saturated pop festival hijacked by celebrities.
That’s insane that you have to pay more to sleep in your car. That’s so ridiculous.
This is how every festival I’ve been to works. Camp bisco, summer camp, Bonnaroo. Most are like this
That's not really the truth. It would be more to bring your car on site, but you most people still camp in a tent behind their car.
@@SassyFilmingo I’ve been to festivals and there’s never been an extra fee to sleep in your car I just was so surprised
You're paying for a sleeping space. Cars take up way more space, so you pay a premium.
You don’t sleep in your car. He’s completely clueless. Look at the pictures they showed. It’s so you can park your car right next to where you set up your tent and canopy. And you can keep ice chests or whatever you need in it. It’s a huge step up from what Ian did.
I went to Coachella in 2002 and was hesitant about it because I’m not a festival goer at all but, when I got there, it was a total dreamland. Hardly a crowd, more like a community picnic than a festival. The artists would just walk around the grounds like anyone else and mingle with the crowd. I got to hang out and talk to Omar the guitar player from At The Drive In one of my favorite bands and a friend of mine chatted with Sean Lennon. It was so cool. I think after that, the word got out and now it’s just a legend. Not the festival that it originally was.
Damn, randomly chatting with Omar, that's the dream.
what a wild time, at the drive in at coachella man youre v lucky
Worse this shirt 😂
Love asking the real question “how many times can you shit” lmaoooo
Also most festivals don’t allow regular attendees into the campground, the benefit for that would be to “pregame” with your friends that have an EZ up at the campground
This just sounds like a good festival experience in the UK! The reason I never go, it's pretty horrible😣🤣
‘United We Stan’ would have been better on the tshirt right?
You couldn't pay me to go to Coachella
Worse this shirt lol
??? Grammer
@@xXStarchyXxGrammar* :)
@@rubybs2303 maybe they were talking about Kelsey
@@rubybs2303 I'm Canadian
Poor Ian man I’m sorry that all sounds really terrible but it sounds like you met some great friends
i will never understand why people go to these events but i am glad that they do so i can listen to their horror stories
Cause they’re the greatest thing on earth? If you’re not a clueless first timer
@@superstringsbro I can think of a million other things that are funner. Example: all you can eat texas style bbq.
@@LordCantinflas incorrect. You can have bbq there while listening to amazing performances 👍
@@superstringsbro that's not an all you can eat Texas styled BBQ. That's a, " imma bring my grill with me, and hope it doesn't get stolen."
@@LordCantinflas do you need a buffet with you everywhere you go? Are you on my 600 pound life?
Coachella should build a proper building out there. A hotel with toilets, showers, and loads of balconies and a rooftop so people can over-look the festival. Some air conditioning. Pools. First aid and mini hospital there. In-door and out-door restaurants. Locker access. Mini police station with jail-cells incase there are criminals. TVs everywhere showing vision of the live shows. Ambulance parking. Meeting rooms. Gift/ Souvenir shops. Clothes shops. Lots and lots of public toilets for those who did not get a hotel room. Electric vehicle hire ports for Golf-cart, e-scooter, and segway hire to increase accessibility. Electric wheelchair charge stations included at those ports. It really seems like a health and safety issue not having such infrastructure out there. Imagine if the hotel was designed like a big cruise ship in the middle of the desert. Similar to the Sun-cruise hotel and resort in south Korea. That would be SICK. When the festivals not on they can use it as a venue for other events too.
yep
There’s a mini hospital 😂 spent time in it this weekend. And there’s lockers, and mini essential stores etc! Just for VIP tho
@@TTdoyaloveme That's good to know but it's not right that it's only for VIP. They need to make a big building that includes a hotel for general use and safety. Not tent hotels.
@@TTdoyalovemeCoachella is located in Palm Springs. It’s Coachella valley! They have all of that in the city. They have loads of hotels, restaurants etc.
There describing every festival in the entire world like it’s unusual, those posh tents look great.
right. it’s crazy to me that so many people don’t know the concept of camping festivals and that they exist. after probably my third fest I was acclimated to them and now i’m a car camp veteran lol
Was at a music fest once in Arkansas called Wakarusa and this girl went down into a portapotty and they had to get a hazmat team to get her out and hose her down and take her to hospital
hose her down??? 😭
@@anelababic329 Never mind the hose, 'she went down into a portapotty''???💀💀💀
Dude wtfffff I would rather ppl see my bare ass than go into one of those
WUT 💀
Checks out. Been to a lot of forest raves back in my day. The kind of emergencies that happen get more ridiculous as the days go on.
Send Ian to the boujie tent next year
Music festivals is kinda a big thing where I live, camping, live music and some okay food is what I grew up doing every summer. I don’t think Americans are doing it right. Y’all are to focused on class. If you can afford the car but bottom of the barrel is tents. So sad. Where I live you can bring your car and tent. Bring a fucking caravan. Anything that is camping bring it all. We have a few tents a caravan for a group of us and it was great (not coachella) we had nice BBQ breakfasts. We had a blast was so much fun. There are people who will stay at a hotel and come to the festival but that’s not how you do a summer music festival. And usually the only difference between sites are VIP sites so that’s for all the bands. They have a worker site because if you work there you go free. Then there’s a family section and a non family section. The campsite is basically first come first served. If you get there early enough, I always went with my mum and dad and auntie, and then all their friends, so maybe 4 cars, 1 trailed caravan and the rest of us had tents if we weren’t sleeping in the caravan. We’d have our own fire to cook food and mini disposable BBQs as well as all the food stands at the actual festival site. It’s just so good. The music, the food, the quietness in the morning, it’s quiet but you can hear people talking but most the adults are rough so no one’s really being loud. It was just so fun and good memories where as whenever I hear of people talking about coachella it sounds awful. Sure where I live it can rain and get really muddy. But that’s part of camping and if you don’t like that then don’t go.
where is this if you don't mind me asking?
@@irena.mp4 the uk 🇬🇧
21:21 To skip to the shirt
Crazy how shocked you guys act, meanwhile Euro Festivals are not even looking this bougie on good days
Yep, Coachella is a luxury experience compared to our festivals 😂
Make the shirt a merch, please!!!
Send Ian to Electric Forest in JUNE!
being on shrooms are watching this was not my best move...that background and their eyessss tho
Lmao been there on this podcast
I've been there tripping balls watching h3h3 😂
I can't even look at or operate my phone while tripping lmao
I once snort so much ketamine and smoke joint while leave my tv running playing h3 old podcast with the purple sofas, i was so numb as fuck but i remember my first time faded watching h3
I love the way they make me feel but they hella make my stomach hurt 😢
I already didn’t plan to go to Coachella in my life, but every new bit of information from Ian’s experience pushed me further and further from ever wanting to go there
Car camping is more expensive bc you get more room, you have extra shade/shelter, it’s closer to the entrance, and also you don’t have to lug in your camping gear from the parking lot
Honestly would be nice to be able to use your car A/C when needed too.
Where can I get the shirt tho
Love asking the important questions
Outside Lands in the early 2010s felt so magical to me idk…now I don’t think I would go even if I got paid
I find this so bizarre. Camping at a festival is not normal in the USA?
It is lmao Coachella is just different bc of the type of crowd it attracts. Most festivals I go to around the country, we camp at!
@@namzterin14 it was just really strange to see the crews reaction to sleeping in a tent and portable toilets etc. like that’s so normal haha
@@alexwilcock9249 that was my reaction too! I was like “have you never been to a festival before?” 😂 guessing it is just higher class people expecting more lol the crew would have lost their minds at Okeechobee festival I went to a few weeks back where it was in the swamp in Florida and super dirty, but that’s part of the experience for me haha
@@namzterin14 in the U.K. you basically have a 50/50 shot at a festival as to whether or not it’s going to pour with rain or be so hot you burn
Bro I’ve never used a porta potty in a desert and I really don’t want to 😭
21 mins before the shirt is mentioned
Its like paying to be in a refugee camp
Ah yes, Gabe is describing heat stroke maxing 😂
How dare he worse this shirt
Couldn’t be worser
@@award89 😅😂
I feel like if I was there in the moment with the better accommodations, I would obviously enjoy it… but the car camping / economy camping section sounds so exhausting, I feel like you’d have to pay me to go through it.
I was sparsely listening during the gomez-head segment and I briefly thought it was about Gomez from Addams family
I've been to smaller festivals an it's honestly the worst lol you wake up sweaty an hungover, it's hot all day, there's no showers ( atleast where I was ). It's fun at night an you meet cool people but still.
Due to these kind of story's and experiences i remembered why i never go to festivals anymore. Getting too old for this shit.
It’s not that bad. Ian was completely clueless. That’s why it was a disaster for him. And still he doesn’t understand the car camping. People don’t sleep in their cars. It’s so your car could be right next to your much bigger camping space and you could keep ice chests or whatever you need in it.
Spotted Ian at Coachella but was too nervous to say hi 🥹
I've never been to the USA, but I've been to festivals in Europe, as an artist on smaller ones and a visitor at SummerJam Everlasting 2015. After visiting several festivals 2012-2015, the SummerJam one was the last one. Never sleeping in a tent again. This talk reminded me a lot about that experience. Extremely hot, water shortage, everything expensive, bad toilets and lots of walking. A lot of people barely watched any performances because of the heat. If I ever go to a festival again, it will be if theres affordable hotels nearby. Otherwise, it's just better to watch from home tbh.
Also, the risk of bad weather can also destroy the experience as it did for me at one festival when the whole area was flooded and the power went out now and then.
You sound like an old lady. It’s pretty easy if you bring everything and know what you’re doing
Minor spelling mistake
I love worseing clothes
That's why I rent spots at RV resorts
Plot twist: Ian is the tent shitter 😂
This is how all camping fests are 😂
in merica, only
This made me realize I am lame and not a music festival person
I need that Selena hailey shirt!
sam is adorable. cheers
That camp situation is stupid. For Firefly music festival, if you chose to camp, you get a plot that’s big enough for a tent AND your car. Why the fuck do you have to park your car elsewhere from all your shit?? FIREFLY FOR LIFE WOOOO
LMFAOOOOO y’all are so fucking funny, why anyone would pay to go to this goofy ass event anymore is beyond me 💀💀💀
u sound like u have fomo
next year send Zack
Y’all should send Ian to Hulaween so see the difference
Coachella sounds horrible
How are you guys so funny without effort
I am so glad I never wanted to go to coachella cause it sounds like my worst nightmare

Lol the fact that he had so many issues getting in too 😅 nah this shows how shit Coachella is and their staffing and organization. There are MUCH better camping festivals out there
I feel like there's a big correlation between the size of a festival and how shitty it is.
Olivia is def friends with the Selena account lol
Send Ian to the taylor swift concert in August!
marc rebillet for life!
Dont people use hotels?
WHy is Cam and Ian so look alike

it's kinda insecure
Car camping doesn’t mean sleeping in your car! Camping at Coachella was one of the best experiences of my life :)
Also, Ian got there a day late so of course he got the worst camping spot
Found the crystal girl that slept in different tents every night
@@JJ17133 what a loser virgin :) I actually went with my boyfriend of 3 years and we had a wonderful time together.
