    My Mom, RIP, used to not go out to a store or wherever after 2:30pm? And she was right. Like she was not more than 7-8 miles from the Super Walmart, and it would take us like 45 min. to get there? The traffic there is some serious sh##! One of the few various reasons I left in 1986 to the Westcoast in Nevada. But there's nothing like the weather, no matter what..and no other State in the US has Summer all year round🏝 I will be reaching out to you when I'm on my way back to stay!

      Bless her heart! ❤️ She was right. Traffic gets crazy for sure. I don’t blame you for wanting to get away, but the weather sure does make it hard to leave. It would be my absolute pleasure whenever you decide!

    Great video and perfect headline, as I’m 30 years old born and raised in Miami and debating on leaving for good myself haha. Just like every city pros and cons as no where is perfect even Pokémon Island. If you have never lived in Miami I’d still recommend experience it for yourself. But I always remind people that living in Miami is 110% different than when you’re on vacation here, and also don’t overly hype it up in your head that it’s some amazing dream destination city.

    • @AngieMBlanco

      Thanks Garrett! I agree with you that Miami is definitely a place to experience, and that is also pretty hyped up. Spot on!

    LOL.. most people don’t have the option to drive in rush hour traffic.. they are either going to work or returning.

    • @AngieMBlanco
      @AngieMBlanco  2 года назад +1

      That is true and unfortunate! Luckily for some though, who work remotely or from home, they have the option of not driving during those treacherous hours 😱

    I'm srry but you can't compare miami to big cities such as NYC or L.A. only 2 cities in the nation are comparable to NYC and L.A. and thtz Houston and Chicago miami isn't even in the top 10 hell it isn't even in the top 20 I mean it doesn't even have half the population or land area as those cities Miami is probably more comparable to Atlanta being the 38th and 44th most populous cities in the nation I would say those 2 or more similar and on the same level But miami is most certainly not in the same league as a Nyc L.A. Houston or a Chicago and it never will be But it is very beautiful there I will give you guys tht much😎🤷‍♂️💯

    As a local who’s born and raised here. For me, the biggest con and reason I’m leaving is the people. Miami does not have the smartest, most educated people. Also the lack of diversity in our economy. It’s mostly built on the tourism/service sector. A big reason why large tech and investment firms struggle to move. Not enough intellectual talent. That is why there is so much brain drain here. People like the Latin culture, but honestly I’m sick of it. ✌️Oh and let me add, that wages are VERY low in comparison to the recent surge in cost of living.

    • @AngieMBlanco
      @AngieMBlanco  2 года назад +1

      I'm sorry to hear that this is how you feel. Are you in tech? And where are you moving to?

    • @RamiroR13
      @RamiroR13 2 года назад +1

      @@AngieMBlanco I’m not in tech. I go to FIU for mostly Business/Finance but I work in the airline industry. I want to move to Stockholm, Sweden but the language barrier will be an issue to work there. So maybe Dallas for work till I can get to Stockholm and/or Amsterdam.

    L.A. has a much nicer climate and surrounding than Miami. The weather is horribly humid. It might not snow but that's about it when it comes to that. What Miami has that only New York comes close to is the energy. No city in the U.S. has the energy Miami has. Not even New York. They just come close.

    • @AngieMBlanco

    • @SuperRip7

      @@AngieMBlanco I chose not to mention the languages by name if anyone is annoyed of hearing them but for those who don't know ...
      The national language is English
      The main main language of Miami Dade/Miami which is the mother tongue is Spanish
      The French-based creole language is Haitian Creole.
