    I think the delay in switchback looks good, after all they are blinkers, gives kind of a sequential look

    Hello, what diameter are the projectors that I have to install in my Chevrolet Sonic?. Thank you

      Ulises, the quick answer to your questions is the projector lens is 66mm in diameter. If you want a full measurement diagram check out the product page here: www.theretrofitsource.com/projector-kits/hid-led-projectors/bi-xenon-morimoto-mini-h1-7-0.html

    Hi do you have a video on how to change out the actual headlight assembly? Having a hard time finding anything

    • @DIYToona
      @DIYToona  Год назад

      Hi Beth. I do not, but it’s pretty easy. First remove the front bumper (that I do have a video of) then the headlamp is 4 screws and the electrical connector in the back. See this diagram. www.csmans.com/headlamp_replacement-802.html

      @@DIYToona I found that video. Hoping that will help the person who’s changing it for me. Thanks for uploading and responding

    So I have a 2013 chevy sonic. Will this match my car?

    • @DIYToona
      @DIYToona  Год назад +1

      There’s no reason it wouldn’t. The headlights were the same for all trim levels both hatchback and sedan

      Yes I can. When I dig up the invoice, I'll add it to the video description

      Dustin, I think they are superior in performance. To date, I've had 2/4 failures with the halo switchback drivers. I just posted the (long awaited) last video where I talk about those ruclips.net/video/Y0y9zWsRvjg/видео.html .Also adding the parts list now. Keep in mind some items have been upgraded since I took the video.

    Aren't there full projector head lights out already?
    Also what's the price for this vs getting some of the aftermarket ones already out there? There are some
    And pros and cons vs them? Like the anzoUSA projectors or the SPPC projector etc
    About how much time does this take?
    And how do these fit with aftermarket led and halogen lights bulbs?
    And could you do both high and low beam?

    • @DIYToona
      @DIYToona  7 лет назад

      MyLonewolf25, There do exist pre-made headlights with projectors for the Chevy Sonic. The cost of the retrofit kit is $270 compared to about $340 for the pre-made ones. But the retrofit kit doesn't include the headlight housings. Pros: Level of customization achieved by doing your own build; bi-xenon option; RGB halo options; halo size / placement options; LED halo brightness vs CCFL. Cons: time and labor intensive; possible purchase of extra headlight assembly; difficulty. There are cure times involved, but overall labor I'd say max 20 hours. The kit comes with the HID bulb that fits the projector. I have not needed or wanted a replacement so I'm unsure on other bulb compatibility. I did not need to do both high and low beam because the bi-xenon projector does both, leaving the factory high beam open for other custom options (like my RGB bulbs)

      DIY Toona hmm
      I'd probably do both the high and low beams myself if I did this but thanks!

      Jayden Dean Please clarify. Are you asking how to remove the headlight assembly from the vehicle?

    • @D1m3n5ionZ
      @D1m3n5ionZ 5 лет назад

      DIY Toona
      No
      I need to remove the plastic or glass
      (See through bit)
      To be able to access the inside of the light

    • @DIYToona
      @DIYToona  5 лет назад

      Jayden Dean I see. That’s the trickiest part. If you are using OEM headlights you may be forced to cut them open with a cutting wheel or “sonic cutter” as I did (but don’t have a video for it). I’ve been told if you buy the Anzo brand headlights you can bake them apart at 220 degrees (F) for 11 minutes. I recommend you look for ways of “baking” or “separating” headlights.
