Do I have to buy 110mm for the high beam reflector or can it be 120mm because I just ordered them and I just looked at the headlight and the high beam is smaller
Christian, you're in luck. The 120mm rings will also fit the high beam reflector at the front. Instead of attaching the ring to the cylinder with wire, all you need to do is lay it down in the transparent part and the cylinder will hold it in place when you screw it back in. To be honest its the most secure mounting solution.
DIY Toona oh okay so lay if flat on the ring instead of flushed with the reflector .... I was amazed with your vid that you can put halos on but I dont like that you have to cut it I've baked some before and it worked
Pretty much. Lay the transparent part face down (like the removal at :45 in this video) and just place the ring in the bottom. When you screw the two cylinders back in, the ring gets held between it, and the transparent part. Supposedly these can be baked. I tried and melted two headlights. Later found out that different plastics (with different melting points) are used depending of origin of manufacture. If you bake sonic headlights open successfully, please comment on where they were made and the temp / time you used.
