Dude.....me too. I was friggin using a screwdriver and messing with the screws in the side of mine. And I’ve used pvc cutters before...albeit a little different, but still. What an idiot
I bought an Orbit ratcheting PVC cutter at least two years ago, and in experimenting with it, I may have disconnected or broke something on it, because it stopped ratcheting. I just tossed it into the tool drawer and until today didn't make a serious try at getting it to work. My serious try was to hope RUclips had a how-to-do on the dang thing. I learned how to open the cutter by watching this video, but find that the blade still won't ratchet closed as I open and close the handles. If I press the blade toward the closed position while closing the handles, the ratchet works, but only if I press the blade. This makes me wonder if, when I was fooling around with the tool I might have disconnected a spring that is supposed to do the pulling of the blade towards the closed position. Suggestions appreciated :)
I luv you! Went straight to Bunnings(Aussie ) and bought this exact brand. Thanks for making a mere males life liveable. DIY is my jinks! BUT this worked out
Thanks. It makes me feel better knowing I wasn’t alone having issues opening it and not wanting to break it
Short, helpful and to the point. Thank you!
Saved me a trip back to the store to ask where the "secret latch" was to open the darn thing! Lol 👍
