- Tonight on 'India Decides' with Marya Shakil, we bring to you a special panel of young Kashmiris. It was Prime Minister Narendra Modi's first Srinagar visit since the scrapping of Article 370 and the split of the former state into two union territories - Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh. Unveiling development projects worth several thousands of crores, the Prime Minister also declared that J&K is now "breathing freely" and developing at a rapid pace after scrapping of Article 370.

Modi led BJP govt created 'Open' Kashmir, 'Better' Kashmir, where we can witness drastic shift in the way Kashmiris turned up for the rally. Kashmir is now 'bandh' free, leading to very productive environment, lot of investments pouring in from UAE, Saudi etc.. Successful conduct of G20 sent a great message that 'World is one family'. As an Indian-origin Japanese citizen, I am very proud to say that India's value and acceptance on the world stage are at an all-time high, especially during Modi Ji’s governance. If this momentum continues, India will surpass Japan and become the third-largest economy by next year for sure. Kashmir has rose up many times from the state it was in since 2019. Tourism has increased many folds, local businesses are thriving, investment are coming up, coming up of Entertainment industry like Cinema theatre and Multiplex launch. All the things will not happen out of a sudden, people are watching what development activities are happening all around. Jammu and Kashmir is on the road of transforming from being a terrorist capital to a TOURISM CAPITAL, I agree the road is still there to cover but Jammu and Kashmir is traveling only forward to host tourist, business & development. Critics in the form of road diversions and speed breakers will be there in every new road which is being built/ prepared. Our duty is to tread safely and enjoy the journey. Jai Hind 🇮🇳❤️

Obviously unemployment has increased after article 370. Even I agree. Unemployment of ₹500 STONE PELTING. Shops and market used to be closed almost for 4-5 days in a week, but now shops are open on all days even upto 11pm night. More than 2cr tourist visited JK, did it not create employment for hotels, shops, travel agency and others? Reply to this Mr. Wani

Dear Kashmirs, iam living in Kerala, state, we want to make Kerala a union territory. Because we will get direct benifits from the central government. The price of all commodities will come down, for example, petrol is selling in Kerala for Rs.108/-and the same in union territory in Mahi(union territory near Kerala) is for Rs.96/-. Not only that politicians are looting central government schemes which is not allowed to reach the common people. So union territory is far more better than becoming a state. You are very fortunate to be a central ruled territory.❤

My own personal experience after traveling in Kashmir for two weeks.
I have been thru Kashmir and find that generally common people are very happy that the BJP Government abrogated Article 370, thus freeing the state from the strangle hold of the corrupt politicians (the 3 families & Congress ) that ruled this beautiful State and created an atmosphere of terror. According to the locals even the recent attacks are the doing of the same groups. In fact the common man is only interested in keeping the State as a UT, so that development, that has started, continues and their livelihood is protected without the corrupt politicians of the past coming back to the power that they've lost!!
I think that the Kashmiris can see the difference between them and their brethren across the border economically.

The decision to abrogate article 370 changed the ground reality in Kashmir. People acknowledge this great decision. Now there is no question of going back.
